I recently had my Verano serviced at Cable Dahmer Buick, and while they successfully addressed my car s engine issues, my overall experience left me with mixed feelings. The staff at Cable Dahmer were friendly and accommodating throughout the process. My car needed a significant repair involving the replacement of the timing chain and water pump that caused a concerning noise in the engine, and the technicians needed several days to complete the job. When I picked up my car, the troublesome noise was gone. However, a couple of aspects of my experience were less than satisfactory. Initially quoted $2,900 for the job, I was handed an invoice for $3,500+. When I pointed out the discrepancy, Camille (who I primarily worked with) promptly adjusted the price to $3,169, but it left me questioning the transparency of their pricing. I'm grateful I questioned the charges.Another disappointment was the promise of complimentary car wash and vacuum. When I initially accepted the car fix, I figured I was already spending a lot of money and I might as well spend a little bit extra to get my car cleaned/vacuumed as Cable Dahmer s website says they offer car wash & detailing services. So, I called and inquired about their detailing services. I explained that I might as well pay a little more to get my car cleaned out and looking nice if I m investing so much in the car already. Camille told me that they do offer detailing for around $200, but she then said they would go ahead and wash and vacuum out my car free of charge! She said that it would not be a professional detail , but that they would vacuum it out and wash it for me.Unfortunately, this promise went unfulfilled, and my car was returned to me in the same condition as when I dropped it off. It was a letdown, especially considering the initial willingness to go the extra mile. I would have gladly paid an additional $200 to have my car detailed. In conclusion, Cable Dahmer Buick did resolve the mechanical issues with my car, and their staff was pleasant to deal with. However, the discrepancies in the quoted and invoiced prices, coupled with the unfulfilled promise of complimentary detailing, marred an otherwise positive experience. The service was satisfactory, but these issues prevent me from giving a higher rating.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
