Fantastic place to get your state inspection. I called ahead and they were able to fit me in same day. Kind and quick. Bring $12 cash.

Went in right when they opened and asked if I could get an inspection. The guy asks if I have an appointment and I don t and he seems a little annoyed. Which okay, so I ask if I can make one for a different day he says you have to call the day before i want an appointment. He was literally at his computer so I was a little confused about why I couldnt make one while I was there but fine. He says to come back at 9 and I do and hes in his shop and never looks over. I stand there for a while and realize this is a waste of my time and make an actual appointment somewhere else.

I was looking for an inspection place and came across this shop and remembered I came here 2 years ago to get a headlight replaced. I sat outside for 4 hours waiting on my car to get fixed. They weren t even working on it so I asked why and they said they were waiting on someone to bring the bulb. I should ve checked to see if my headlight worked before I left because it did NOT! It ended up being an electrical issue that they did not tell me about. So I paid them to replace something that didn t even work and they failed to let me know. They just let me drive off without any knowledge that the light still wouldn t turn on. Do NOT go here.

Called and asked for inspection. The guy told me 2:30 uh ok can t come then called back said the same thing come at 2:30 and hung up. Such quality customer service .

My truck failed the inspection, someone had removed the catalytic converter before I purchased it. The gentlemen were very helpful in telling me the most inexpensive way to make it legal. And that was even after I forgot to bring cash. Don't forget to bring $12 cash!I highly recommend this place.

It's ok. Went and got a inspection. They failed it, I was expecting that anyway. When I came back a week later he wanted a receipt of the repairs I said I don't have one I had a mobile mechanic do it. He then huff and puffed that he would have to pull the car in to see if I really got it fixed or lying. I asked him for some quotes on a few other minor repairs and was 300 above anywhere else. They also said I was lucky they even did a inspection because he didn't have too. I said well when I Google inspection station you guys come up, he said well, doesn't mean I will do them. Poor attitude. Otherwise fast service.

I called to see if they could get me in for an inspection. They gave me a time, and then it took about 15 minutes. I was in and out, and during the last week of the month, what a pleasant surprise! I'm very appreciative!

I went yesterday for an inspection. I forgot my wallet and they kindly let me go and get it which was very gracious of them. I gave them 20.00 on a 12 dollar inspection to reciprocate their kindness. To my surprise when I went to DMV they did not accept the inspection certificate due to an error in the certificate. I returned and explained the situation and they redid the certificate and gave me a copy. Live and learn people. The inspection certificate was wrong thats why they did not make a big deal when I told them I forgot my wallet. They did not deserve the tip that I gave them. So in total I spend two hours at DMV waiting to be told my certificate was wrong and two more hours when I came back with the corrected certificate. Live and learn live and learn.For your information you don t have to sign the certificate. The information they write have to be legible not scribbles and any corrections that they make on the date will rendered the certificate invalid. Check your certificate before you leave .

I waited for over an hour at my usual inspection place 2 miles down the road. Called these guys they said to come at 11:30. I showed up at 11:10 and was out by 11:35. Great service. It s a hidden gem. I will be back in 2 years!

Dang! Needed a state safety inspection and my usual mechanic want able to get it done for me.No appointment. I just pulled in, handed them the keys, and about fifteen minutes later i was out of there. Cost $12.

I called ahead of time to ask if they could do a vehicle inspection. To leave a review that is critical of someones service and to make said review justified, a person really needs to call ahead of time. Simply showing up and getting upset that you didn t get prompt service is not a reflection of poor service, but more a reflection of a customer s lack of consideration! Always call ahead for two reasons: so you can know what the availability is and so the place that will potentially perform the service can be prepared for your eventual arrival That being said, I was in and out in no time at Abco. The man working there was very nice and very quick. I ve already recommended him to people I know, but only to considerate people.

I called a week ago and set up an appointment for an inspection for 930am. I went there at 904 and I called because the office is closed due to covid...understandable...but the old man that answered the phone said he wouldn't get to my car until 140pm! He said it didn't matter i had an appointment then proceeded to hang up in my face when I was explaining how I couldn't drop off my only vehicle and walk home 5 miles! I called back and he said again it didn't matter about me setting an appointment he had other things to do. I left and went 4 miles away to Antioch auto inspection and they got me in asap.Terrible place

Called asking about a Missouri safety inspection and said they could get me in an hour. I arrived and they had my car in the garage within 5 minutes, inspection took about 20 minutes and i was on my way. Very fast and friendly.

I called to ask if they had any availability to get an inspection and the guy on the phone took down my information, told me to come in the next day at 9am and he ll get it done for me. I show up the next day, he acts like he hasn t heard of me, told me I needed to drop my car off and leave, and it would take 3 hours. 3 hours for an inspection? When I made an appointment with them? Seems like the place that would tamper with your car so you can pay them extra to fix it. Really frustrating

Would not recommend. I arrived to get an inspection. As they do the inspection I watch from outside because I was taught you watch when someone is working on your car.. both mechanics are standing by the driver seat door.. me unaware of what they were doing just keep watching and they both looks back and forth at me and the car. Turns out the broke the side panel of my seat. And I didn t realize until I left and got out the car. I called to figure out what happened trying to get answers on how that happened only for them to say it must have already been like that and you just sat down to hard. I ve had my car for 5 months and the moment after they touch it, then it decided to break!! I m am beyond upset because he began to yell and hung up in my face. When he knew he was wrong.. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Called to make an appointment for my daughter's car. The person that answered the phone immediately wanted the make model and year of the car which isn't necessary to make an appointment but I said I'd call back. When I called back they said they didn't have any appointments that day and hung up. I called a third time later asking for an appointment and they just hung up. My boyfriend called and had zero issues. My feeling on this is the owners are a tad sexist. My opinion.

I always get my inspection done here. Very friendly staff. Last time I had to have an inner tie rod replaced. I had expected it to cost alot but was pleasantly surprised at the cost. It was repaired in just a few hours. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Got here this morning at 10:30 after reading reviews of inspections done around the day one in particular being 1 of the latest reviews on the website saying that a customer dropped their vehicle off :30 minutes before close. After arriving at the establishment, I was told that in order to get an inspection you have to drop your car off early in the morning. Which based on the obvious reviews that was a complete lie. Not really fond of being lie to and I don't really know why they lied to me however I'm not very happy about that and I honestly feel like if you are going to have that as a rule then you should post that somewhere on your page or follow that rule with everyone! Mainly so other people are not expecting to get one throughout the day like you've done it so many years for so many people not sure why I was different.

After waiting in the lot to be serviced for an inspection, the manager/owner made up some fabricated excuse about my tail lights being too dark. I have had this vehicle inspected multiple times in the last 8 years I've owned it and it has been zero issue. If you don't have time to inspect a vehicle, don't schedule it. This shop is unprofessional and dingy looking, I wouldn't trust them to do any more than a vehicle inspection anyway. I will not be returning here.

I have taken my cars to these guys several times and each time I have hardly any wait time to get my car in the shop and they are MUCH less expensive than other auto shops. I got new brake pads and rotors here for half as much as Midas. I even had my kids with me one time and the mechanics gave them suckers. I have always been treated with respect.

The BEST mechanic I have worked with in the 25 years I have lived in KC!! Have you ever had a mechanic "downsell" a repair...basically tell you that a repair was not necessary at this time? That is the type of honesty and trusted advice you will get every time at Abco Auto. Today they replaced my fuel filter (long overdue), got a full synthetic oil change (6 quarts) and a car inspection for around $115. Extremely polite, humble, hard-working, and flexible owners. Once Covid is over, ask about their complete services!UPDATE in 2021 = After a recent dead battery experience, an auto parts store tested my alternator and said it was going bad. Car had sat for 5 days without being started (I probably left a light on). ABCO tested it three times and said the alternator was fine but the repair needed was actually the serpentine belt (had over 100K miles), tension bar and pulley system which saved me about $180 in parts plus reduced labor.
