This place offers free tire pressure checks, and in this cold weather, you might need that. I called ahead of time to see what the process was and was told you just have to wait in line with your car. They said the wait was like 30 minutes and that the line currently stretched around the building. I got there 12:36 and it took approximately 1.5 hours to get in. Once in the guy that was doing it was fast efficient and got me on my way with I would say 10 minutes. Would highly recommend this place. However, if it's extremely cold and bad weather, you will probably have a long wait like I did.

Talk about a great way to be surprised on my birthday. Stopped in here because of 2 reasons, first, it is on the way home from dropping my son off at school, secondly, before they opened the store, several years ago, when I had my old trailblazer, I had trouble getting my spare tire to drop from underneath the back end of the truck, these guys not only had a better wrench to get the tire down, but they also brought over their floor jack, lifted her up, took off the flat tire and put on my spare all for no charge at all! Talk about a winning service attitude and the guys were all so nice about it. Well fast forward to today, found out late yesterday afternoon that I had a screw in my rear left tire and it wasn't going to hold air for longer than to take Rajden to school and to get here. I come in expecting it to be a reasonable fee to get it fixed and much to my surprise, the fee couldn't have been any better!! It was free and once again, everyone was so nice and helpful!! If you need tires, rims, balancing, a flat fixed, anything for your ride, these are the guys to do it! It may cost a few bucks more than some cheap shop, but you will never, and I mean NEVER, beat the service you will receive here. They've made a lifelong customer out of me! Truly a great store with a reminder of what real customer service is like! So refreshing and needed!! I wish these guys the best holiday weekend and New Year ahead!

Love this place! They are amazing at what they do! And a tire and rime change only took them 20 minutes for me anyways! I m sure just depends on how busy they are. But yeah they are very good!

Took sisters vehicle in, "did a so-called inspection", which I DID NOT ASK FOR. USUALLY DO THAT TRYING TO EXTRACT MONEY OUT OF YOU. Dealerships do it all the time. Always trying to sell you something. Refused to fix a flat saying i needed to buy two new tires saying the tread is too low to fix it. Im ticked off. I have an automotive degree and they could have fixed the flat. Tread wasnt that low getting close but still fixable.Note: There are times you cant fix tire cause tread it too low and it would be dangerous.In my opinion, just wanted to sell me tires no matter what. Like i said. My opinion.2-6-24 well i went back today with my 2021 forte to fix a flat. Giving them another chance. Got the same little pisher. Told me same thing my tire tread was too low. Funny when i just had oil change with dealership and they said my tires were fine. I called and kind of yelled at manager over the situation. I was thinking of buying four tires from them when it came time. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Manager didnt help at all. Making excuses for the employee. Just a little update. I went in for another oil change at dealership (nothing wrong with my tires) not too low in depth of tire tread.I guess this says it all.You regional office ask for more info on situation. Had trouble accessing site you sent. Note: i have the video from my dealership on my tires. Just needed to rotate NOT REPLACE.

I have been to this location twice, and I have no idea why I made the same mistake twice. Both times, I came to this location to get a tire patched for free since they offer the services without a fee. Little did I know, it's just a gimmick to get you in to try and pressure you into buying new tires. Both times I have come in, the punctures have been within the repairable area they mention on their website. The first time, I was told it wasn't repairable and I needed to get new tires. I took it somewhere else, and they patched it with no issue. The most recent time, I was told the tire is "destroying itself from the inside out". Once again, I took it somewhere else, and it was fixed, with no issues. I asked the tech doing the repair if there were any signs of the tire "internally tearing itself apart" and they told me there were no indications of that. Customer service comes off helpful and approachable, but it's because they want you to buy new tires from them. Definitely won't make the same mistake a third time.

I ordered a set of tires and paid for them online. The website used the wrong wheel size. Saturday morning I went to my appointment and their system was down.I had to spend another $700 on a set of tires, they were supposed to refund the money from the fist purchase that was the wrong side. I checked my bank statement and found they didn't refund my money from the first set they instead charged me a second time for the first set. That's a $1044 mistake on their part. The set they did install every single tire was 20lbs low on air.Do yourself a massive favor and avoid these stores like your life depends on it.They are 100% incompetent.

Closing time is 5 p.m. walked in at 4:58 and was waiting in line. Person behind the counter said its after 5 I'm sorry we're closed will be open at 8 a.m. on Monday. Understand this is Saturday. Most businesses if you're in the lobby they will lock the door and they will clear out the lobby. This is a very bad practice.Update: since posting this review they have changed their policy. Now even though they close at 5:00 they will take walk-ins up until 5:30. Because of this I have changed the amount of stars give it. It's nice when a company figures out what their weaknesses are and fixes them.

They couldn't find a screw stuck in my tire. So my wife brings me the vehicle and i took a picture of the screw still stuck in it. Pretty easy to find. Usually they're better than that.

Had a 9:15 appointment for a rotate and balance and waited 45 min before my car got put into a bay just to be done in 10 minutes. Also didn't appreciate washer fluid being sprayed to "test" my wiper blades since I just came from the carwash right before my appointment. That was $25 wasted.

They used to be a great company before the owner died. They used to give employees discounts and treated people with respect. Now we will never go back, there are a bunch of liars and gouge you forever cent.

These folks did right by my technician and treated him best they could. They do tires and only tires. But they do them well. Give them a sot. You might be happily surprised. They may not be cheap, but they do good work. Give them a shot....

The service was slow and the salesman was pushy and tried to up charge at every level . I didn t ask for the recycle fee I didn t ask for the warranty and didn t ask to wait over an hour even with an appointment . Instead of asking me if I wanted these extras they charged me beforehand and I had to sit and waste time asking for them to take off the extra charges . Every time I come here they wanna rack on extra charges without asking . I see a lot of positive reviews on here . Not sure why I couldn t get this great so-called service. Ok never come here again and advise you to find another place unless you like getting pushy salesmen upselling the whole time

The service at Discount Tire in Independence, MO, is excellent. It's a smooth-running shop. We just left there so I don't have a lot to add yet but in general, we have used Discount Tire for years and have been extremely pleased with them. I highly recommend trying them! We bought our tires there and so we get them rotated and balanced every 6 months for free. I just put it on my calendar to make an appointment and it works great!

I had a flat tire. I changed it for my spare and stowed the flat. I made an appointment for a tire evaluation, a flat tire replacement, and to purchase two new tires. I showed their technician the flat tire and asked for it to be replaced. He said they would replace it. I had already picked the two new tires I wanted to buy. I asked him if they were in stock. He said they were. I told him I'd like them to replace the flat tire with the first new tire, and replace the opposite-side tire with the second new tire.Here's what they did. They took the spare tire off of the spare tire rim and threw it away. It was in excellent condition. They put one of the new tires on the spare tire rim, and put it on the truck. Then they replaced the opposite-side tire. They didn't touch the flat tire. Instead of having two new tires and MY spare, I only have two new tires.Dear Discount Tire, you are a disgrace to the legend of Bruce Halle.

They treated my mother who was in her late seventies very good they were very gentle very informative and they made her feel comfortable and that is the most wonderful thing that you could do for a senior citizen

One of the worst experiences I ve ever had with a tire shop. They did damage to the rear quarter panel of my car and front fender/door area. Their insurance and manager of the store refuse to cover all chargers. Currently having to get a lawyer to settle the situation. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Sloppy work and terrible customer service

Appt made on line Nate was awesome Service dept got me in and out as expected, however was told, as I'm getting in my car, the TPMS was not working. I asked what I needed to do and the tech said replace them...would have been nice to know before they pulled it out of the bay. Too bad...could have been extra $$ for Discount Tire today.

These people are awesome! Bought a set of tires from them one year and a set of wheels the next. Professional, clean and polite. Wal-Mart employees referred me to them. One of the best tire shops in town.

The one reason I've always used Discount Tire is because I never felt like I was just $$ walking in the door. But today changed that...I had an appt for a flat tire repair. The young man that helped me went about looking at it, and all my other tires. Then took me inside to show me the tread board...saying he didn't recommend a patch.. ok, so I asked him to look up the cost of 2 tires...he came back with a quote for 2 MICHELin tires for $700. He said that's all he and in stock...I'm sorry, but isn't the name of the store Discount Tire?Thankfully I have a friend that reached out to a place he uses and I'm getting 2 tires for half that.Upsetting to say the least.

Tire pressure wasn t holding. Took to Jeep dealership to be told I needed a new tire and the cost would be $385 plus tax. Declined that and took to Discount Tire and guess what??? It was pacthable and free.

Their customer service skills on the phone, Suck! I usually go in to ask a question, but had to call this time. It sounded like a very young guy that answered and he was Rude! Customer service going in, is Great. Customer service on the phone, need to Improve!

What a pleasant surprise. I went in with a leak in my tire. They got my car right in and fixed the leak. Then they said "No charge." I didn't think this kind of service still existed. Definitely a woman friendly car service business.

I have a warranty on my tires. They wont let me make an appt to get it fixed but instead they want me to come up there and wait for up to two hours for a walk in. Ridiculous...

The products and outside technicians are good, the inside sales team not so much. Be careful, they will recommend you buy things you don't need and then back track on that recommendation. The sales team does not communicate well. I ordered wheels, received a message that they would be available on a certain date, so an installation date was scheduled. I showed up on the date, the wheels weren't available. The next week I received a message saying the wheels had arrived, so I called back to set up an appointment with the sales team who told me to come over now and they can work me in. So, I drove over to the store, when I arrived, I told them I had a TPMS sensor light on, they told me I need to replace the TPMS. The sales guy took my keys and I assumed he was going to check the TPMS sensors. He can back in the store, said he recommended replacing all four and gave me a price. I paid for the new TPMS sensors. Then I waited over two hours for the four wheels to be installed. The technician told me it took so long because the spare was low on air and that was causing the TPMS light to stay on. I immediately began to question whether I really needed the new TPMS sensors. I questioned the sales guy, who immediately defended his statement by telling me he didn't recommend replacing the TPMS sensors and blamed me for the replacement need because I said a light was on.

I have always loved discount tire, they do very well with what they do. I don't appreciate the sales push for the wiper blades saying that they are streaking when I had changed them a month ago.

This place is fantastic - I will never use another tire shop as long as I live near a Discount Tire! Had a slow leak in one of my tires, made an appointment late at night and was able to get in the next day. Even though I didn't purchase the tires from them, they repaired the tire AND balanced the tires entirely for free (for reference, I bought the tires at Firestone a year ago and they quoted me $40 just to patch the leak alone). I was in and out in right about an hour, which is incredible for a free service. Very nice staff, clean waiting area, and great service! Highly recommend.
