I bought a car in October from this company, the car was a good price but you should for sure get the vehicle checked out before you buy it from this company. I was told it had no issues and within 3 months of buying it I have spent $1500 on repairs. It started leaking power steering fluid and caught on fire and the calipers have also gone out and needed replaced. Based on my experience and other reviews, you should not take your business here.

They sold me a nice car last year. One problem, it had a blown head gasket. I got a 3k estimate to fix it 2 months after I bought it.Edited after they replied: It didn't have that warranty. I parked it a long time ago, I have a better car now. I never said it "happened" 2 months after I bought it, thats when I got that estimate. It started overheating soon after I bought it, you have to drive it minimum 3 miles approx. It's fine if you're just going up the street. Some used car dealers pay extra to certify their cars, some don't. I don't want to go back and forth here in reviews. I'll just disclose what's wrong with the car and sell it for about half, (or less than half, since it was overpriced), eventually, (it's paid for). It's too much to fix it, fixing it would put my total outlay about 7k over blue book. I'll delete this review eventually but as long as I have to look at it sitting, I'll feel robbed. But hey, if you want to buy it back I'm all ears.Edited again to say, sorry I can't delete the complaint. I tried to sell it for less than half what I paid in 22 and couldn't.

Test drove a car today that I was told by the dealer was never in an accident then took it to a mechanic to get inspected and they found 2k worth of work needed including a timing belt replaced that was way past due for needing to be done. on top of needing an oil change, gasket replaced and so on, they also found that the entire hood had been replaced and painted to cover up an accident. When I went back to tell of my findings and figure out how we can still make this deal work, the nice gentleman from earlier who greeted turned stone faced, hostile and defensive. He said he would not budge on the price nor would he offer to fix the issues with the car. He insisted that the car was never in an accident and suggested the mechanic didn t know what he was talking about. I would have understood if he had nicely told me that they would not be able to come down on the price but the defensiveness and hostility towards me was very telling that he knew there were problems and was caught lying. I have never heard of a salesman not willing to negotiate or lack customer service skills. I know he will counter my review as he does with all his 1 star reviews saying all these customers are lying and out to get me but the fact that I went to his car lot on a Saturday multiple times of the day and didn t see any other customers says a lot about their reputation.

Don't even waste your time. You will only be buying future problems after you thought you were being smart by asking all the right questions. All they will do is lie straight to your face. Actually be smart and DO NOT give them your hard earned money.

Excellent dealer to deal with. Personally I have known them for over 20 years and highly recommend them. Very professional, honest, and most importantly... trustworthy! It's hard to find a used car dealer that you can not just trust.... but one you will send friends and family to.Don't take my word for it... Just give them the opportunity and I think you will agree with me.

Stay far away from these scammers!!! My cousin saved up her hard earned money and brought a van on 3/4/23 and the transmission went out 3/7/23. She called the owner and asked if she could bring it back. He told her no, she can come buy another car. nothing good will come to the owner selling people lemon cars and getting over on women.

I went and took a 2009 Nissan Sentra out for a test drive. Nice little car. After driving on the interstate, it developed a loud squeal. Took it to my mechanic and he found the squeal. Bearing going out in alternator pulley. It had a star ding in the windshield about the size of a dime. The front rotors need replaced because it really had a strong pulsation when brakes were applied. Took it back, a scruffy looking white guy came out and met me. I asked if his price was negotiable and he immediately went into this spill about cash only, no hidden costs or fees blah blah blah. When I attempted to tell him the 3 things wrong, he fanned his hand and said thanks for stopping by. I will never recommend that lot to anyone. If he would have come down from that almost $6000, I would have bought it and fixed it myself.

Bought a Chevy Malbu in late May from this dealership, and it has been a very good used car. The buying experience was no hassle. They let us test drive the car without any hassle. They allow you to take it to your own mechanic, but there is a two hour time limitation due to insurance (as they stated), so that didn't work for me as the mechanic I take my vehicles to is extremely busy. If a carfax report is important to you, you will have to pull that yourself. Not a big deal. I would recommend at least considering purchasing a vehicle from this shop.

Bought a 2008 Corolla for a good price just under 4k back in October. I do door dash with the car hence I do a lot of driving and my car has been flawless! No break downs just the usual maintenance. These guys don't sell lemons. Even driving off the lot I knew I bought a good reliable car.To ensure you'll buy a reliable car, Do your research on the car brand, model, and year before you buy; take a look at the car, test drive it, get it checked. If everything goes as it should, buy it.This is what I did and I don't regret anything going to best buy car co. They're a great company who wants to sell you great reliable cars for great prices! 10/10 reccomend

Horrible car dealership. Horrible management and salesperson. Once car is sold and messed up on there end nothing can be returned or even fixed even though it s been less than 24 hours all they worry about is making profit and extra money they don t value you as a customer. When asked how long the car was there salesman lied and said a week when it was there for a month. Very dishonest salesman needs to be honest with customers if your going to professionally run a business. Wouldn t recommend at all better off going to a auction because that s the kind of cars they sell.Edit : Nobody threatened you but lawyers will be in contact since you want to lie now

I just want to let everyone know if you are ever looking for a used car do not buy from Best Buy Car Co. They sold my girlfriend a used SUV that supposedly only needed a new 02 sensor. We got it checked out at two different automotive shops and will need $2,300-$1,600 in engine repairs. She is a single mother that is low income and did not deserve this. Worst car lot I ve ever worked with. The engine warranty it came with doesn t cover a single repair needed.

Best Buy Car Co had the potential to make this a great car buying experience for someone who had never purchased a car before - but failed. The Good: Open lot with a decent selection of moderate quality, reasonably priced cars. We went to the lot because there were at least 4 or 5 cars that would work. No pressure sales is always a plus. Test drive/car inspection was a snap, provide license and be on your way. In the end, the CAR seems to be something to be happy about. The Bad: 1 of the 3 cars we drove had some sort of an issue - they clearly don't put much effort into "reconditioning" vehicles (the car we purchased had minor trim piece missing). Perhaps the pricing reflects this - but it is an expectation when the pricing is as compared to "retail". No haggle sales can be nice for a "take or leave it" time-saver - but not when the price discussion is actually just the beginning of the transaction. No temporary registration was provided - AT ALL. I've actually never had a dealer not provide this, so was quite surprised. The worst part, and the major reason for the 2 (for the "overall experience") was that during the test-drive, the bank check for purchase had not arrived. In order to hold the car until it arrived (This was Wednesday, vehicle purchase was completed that Saturday - 3days), a "non-refundable deposit" was required ($500). We discussed that the people purchasing it were young adults with not a lot of cash to spare, and that the bank loan was for the FULL amount of purchase - and could he hold the check for the few days necessary to complete the transaction (3!) - and he agreed. We further explained that the check we were waiting on was a Navy-Federal Pre-approved check, and he indicated he had dealt with them before and it wouldn't be a problem."We" (our family) have purchased numerous cars with Navy Federal Pre-approved checks from dealers small and large over the past 19 years including in Kansas and Missouri. NEVER an issue. Upon arrival on Saturday, the pre-approval was rejected due to being a "draft", forcing them to go to the bank and get it changed into a certified check - which was difficult as the bank didn't understand WHY. To make matters worse, instead of holding the check as he had agreed to, he cashed it. YES - the car was still the same price, but now money saved for a young couple just starting out in life (with a new baby, doing school, and working) is gone because this guy didn't do what he said he would.Overall: There's more to a business interaction than the sales price, or even the product. Specifically, integrity of each party is an important part (at least for us). It seems clear that plenty of people on the Google reviews also felt that integrity was lacking in their interactions - to which the owner either rejects or cites their BBB A+ rating (which you pretty much get as long as you "respond" to complaints). Those who choose to do business with this company would be wise to be ready for that, and not expect that anything that is said verbally will be honored. We, for our part, will not be doing business with them again.

Unfortunately a car I bought here turned out to have bad rod bearings. I was told that the knocking sound I heard during test drive was nothing but a bad catalytic converter and an easy fix. Although I do not expect them to be seasoned mechanics and I understand the used car industry, I do feel that this was deceptive. Particularly because I was encouraged to overlook this issue and it was explained away as a minor problem. I should have known better due to them being so eager to sell me the car. I had possessed the car for less than 24 hours and put less than 40 miles on the car before I had it inspected by 2 mechanics and discovered the problem. Once the mechanic and I got the car lifted, it became apparent that the car had been in an accident, the driver's ball joint was broken and the tie rod was bent, this was obviously from a WRECK as there are skid marks all along the bottom of the car and the ball joint isn't from wear and tear, it is from an impact. To top it off the bottom plastic cover of the engine bay is help on by zip ties as the clips and brackets were all broken in the wreck as well. I immediately asked Best Buy Car Co. to take the car back and place me in a car without a defect and offered to pay any re-stocking or re-title fees. They were unwilling to do anything like this and told me it was my problem. They also threatened to charge me with a felony if I returned the car to them and stopped my payment, which is beyond their means to do. I tried everything to resolve the issue in a friendly and understanding way but was unable to do so, I even offered to throw in $500 cash for them to replace the vehicle in addition to my offers to pay for re-stocking and to continue to purchase a replacement from them. They obviously do not want the vehicle they sold me back, which is telling. This isn't an accusation of any wrongdoing per say on their part. But it is an honest buying experience from this business. I believe that they could have taken care of me as a consumer with a valid post-purchase concern in a more positive way. I am unfortunately unable to recommend that anyone purchase from this dealer. I have little practical recourse other than to offer this honest opinion, however I am exploring all options that may be available to me. I wish I wouldn't have bought from them. I am at fault for buying a defective vehicle apparently, however I also do not expect everyone who might read this review to be completely capable of ruling out any major defect during a test drive just as I was not. They do not expect you to be able to do so either and if you miss something, I hope they take better care of you than they have me. The car I bought failed MO inspection, and I must make repairs before I can safely drive it, the owner's son contends that it passed inspection and was safe when I bought it, this is not true. The damage from the accident is documentable as being present when I purchased the car. I have two young children that I must transport safely. The inspector told me that the wheel could fail at any time and cause me to lose control of the vehicle due to the broken ball joint. I believe that the dealer has a responsibility to sell consumers vehicles that are roadworthy and safe, or at least not represent them as being safe when they are not. I wish that they would have just worked with me to resolve the issue rather than forcing me to write this review and to contact my attorney and the MO attorney general and the BBB. Please beware.

We purchased a car for a good price. We hadn't driven it 5 miles before a hose broke. Mark had it towed to a repair shop (big shout out to Cruz at Jehovah Yireh Automotive Repair!) and it was repaired at no expense to us. Mark was professional and efficient and we appreciate how well he took care of us.

My husband and I we're in the market for a new mini van. Found a Honda Odyssey that was perfect for us. Unfortunately they didn't have the title yet to sell it and we ended up going else where. Had a great experience here, up front honest guys. We will definitely go back when the time comes for another vehicle.

Recently bought a jeep here. I've been looking for a specific model for months and came across one online serfing that this lot had.The jeep was in as is condition. It had little minor flaws but that is to be expected from a 19 year old SUV. The price was fair and the vehicle was professionally detailed and extremely clean. I looked around their lot at other cars I wasn't interested in and they were just as clean. Workers were nice and friendly and supplied no hassle or pressure. They let me test drive the car I bought for as long as I wanted. This is one of the better cash lots I have been to.

We puchased a well used car there about 5 yrs ago, it's still running strong. Super easy cash purchase took 20 minutes after price was negotiated. Looking for another car now. Buyers really need to check any used car VERY thoroughly and need to know what to look for and what to avoid... add a good amount luck and you too can get a great car.

Husband bought a used car here. Prices were decent. But dont bother trying to have the price lowered for any reason. They are pretty firm on that. Nice people run the place, and the cars are nice.

Bought a 2002 Jeep Cherokee at the beginning of the year and have no complaints thus far! The service was very friendly and they did not try and pressure me into a sale. They have a good variety of cars to buy from with reasonable prices and I will for sure be sending my friends to this car lot!

We bought a 2007 Ford Freestyle from this dealer on Feb 25 2017. We were told by more than one person that nothing was wrong with the car; we were sure to ask. We checked it over the best we could and trusted them because they assured us there was nothing wrong and the car was well taken care of. (They were so impressed with how "clean" it was when it arrived) We took the car to the shop the next week to have the a/c looked at, because it definitely does not work! The condenser is badly damaged on the underneath and the whole system had to be replaced, costing us $1787.00. That's a problem they could have told us about; it was below freezing that day and the air appeared to work to us. We checked because they had "air conditioning" stickers on some of the other cars. Everything appeared to work, we asked if everything worked and were told it did. Both front wheel bearings needed replaced also, how this passed "inspection" is beyond me. The left front wheel bearing critically needed replaced. They risked our safety over money on that one; the mechanic spotted that first off! The serpentine belt was dry rotted, both back tires need replaced, the battery terminals had to be cleaned because the car was dying after being started, an engine mount is broken, and numerous other "less serious" repairs need done. The car also leaked oil. They did a nice job cleaning the top of the engine and left the underneath completely saturated. The mechanic had to degrease it before he could even check for a leak, which he found. All together, our repair bill was a little over $2,500 after we paid them $4500 cash for this car. They screwed us and took this money from our children. I will never recommend them to anyone, and will be putting my review everywhere online to warn others of how they take short cuts to make money for themselves. They have already lost at least one sale because of this; my neighbor was impressed with how they operate and quickly changed her mind when she found out we were blatantly lied to. I can't even believe they have been in business as long as they have when this is what you do to families. We are hard working, honest people supporting four children. They didn't care about us or our family; They only cared that we had money in our pocket. I emailed them and got a whole lot of denial and them trying to convince me the mechanic was screwing us over because he didnt buy cheap parts off of ebay. Stay away from them!UPDATE: The car is now lurching forward and in reverse while idling and at low speeds. It's worse when the brake is put on. First it was a safety issue for US, now it's a safety issue for others!Update 2: My husband cleaned out the throttle body, which fixed the lurching. Something the dealers mechanic could have easily done. The power steering pump is also going out! As the owner claimed, that was NOT the first time hearing from us. If anyone would like to see the email communication that I had with them in total denial, I would be more than happy to provide it. Our mechanic bought parts that would last, I am more than happy to pay the mechanic more to not do a shotty job. The wheel bearings do make noise and our mechanic noticed it right off. I provided pictures of the left front wheel bearing, so that's a hard one to deny. It wouldn't take a dealer or mechanic much at all to see that the air conditioner was not working; we couldn't tell because it was 30 degrees that day and the fan was working. If they were more than willing to make things right, they would have when I contacted them and told them I would remove the negative reviews and have much more respect for them if they made their wrongs right. It doesn't matter how many cars they bring into the lot; if they're bringing in so many that they can't catch serious safety issues...they aren't doing the community a service. We could go on with this forever, I have the proof that they sold us a car that needed thousands of dollars of work. We are not the only family they have wronged and refused to right.

I have searched all over Independence MO for a used car dealership that has high quality vehicles at good prices. This one dose have that. I looked at their website and clicked the about us tab. I was extremely excited to read the line at end of second paragraph that states felxible financing options. When I went in there to talk about getting me into a car the gentleman said sorry we are a cash only lot. I showed him his own website and he stated that sure if you have an outside ledlnder of your own. That is I can go get my own loan and come pay him cash. This is not flexible financing options. Not 100% but I do believe that is false advertisement.

This company in my opinion is desperate for profits. We bought a Ford Focus and within one day partial front bumper fell off and to my surprise the rest of the bumper was held up by bungee cords. And now my daughter is broke down and the car won't start. Nobody at the dealership will answer the phone due to me calling previously.... ALL THIS WITHIN 4HRS

Bought a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara from here in mid-January. When I looked at the car at the lot, I looked over the engine as best I could, because the mechanic I trust was not available to see me that day, checked out where the car had been parked and didn't see any fluids on the ground, and even took it for a lengthy test drive. They even took the car in and had it inspected at whatever mechanic they use, in order to make sure I had a full 60 days on the inspection ticket before I bought it. Everything seemed ok, but that night while I was driving after dark I discovered that the interior lights for all the gauges, the spedometer, fuel gauge etc, didn't work. It was rather bright outside, and when I turned on the lights at the dealership they appeared to have worked at the time, but I must have been mistaken. I had a bad feeling that that was a bad sign, because if I remember correctly that's one of the things a vehicle needs to pass inspection. When I called and talked to them about it within a week of buying the car, I was basically told the cars were sold as is with no warranty and we're sorry to hear that that was a problem. They gave me the name of someone they thought that could fix the problem for me, but made sure I was well aware that I bought the car as is and there was nothing they could, or would do to help. Recently have noticed a smell coming from the engine, and that the car jerks a little bit to the left or right especially when you stop at any speed over a few miles an hour. Took it to a mechanic I trust and found out that the car is leaking oil from just about everywhere. He offered to replace the valve cover gaskets, which was the first leak he noticed, but he said that probably wouldn't stop it. Also the boot on both front CV axles are torn, hence the jerking, and the muffler is coming loose in the back. Basically the car I paid almost 3 grand, worked months of overtime for is shot not even 2 months after I bought it. I had shopped around, read all sorts of reviews, and this place seemed like the best to buy a car from. Now I'm wishing I had seen the most recent two reviews, as it seems those people have had the same problems I have. I realize the cars are sold as is, with no warranty, but I refuse to believe this car ever passed any kind of inspection before it was sold to me. I'm sure whoever replies to these reviews on here will either try to blame me for the problems, the mechanic they use, or act simply mystified that it happened, but I'm telling you now if you buy a car from this place you better have a mechanic you trust look it over very well. I don't want to see what happened to me happen to anybody else!

6900 down the drain after exactly one month. I was going to the DMV because my temp tag expired and the check engine light started blinking and my car started misfiring. The owners are straight forward and I cant blame them but for $6900 I thought the car would last alot longer than a month. Cars are garbage

I bought a nearly pristine condition mazda mpv in August of 2015 for $3000. I have had very few issues with it. In January 2017 I applied for a loan using the mazda as collateral. The bank appraiser valued it at $3300 nearly 18 months after I bought it. I'm encouraging my husband to go there to replace his car. Great value!

Do not buy anything from this car lot. I bought a Chrysler Concord 2000. Took to a mechanic right after I bought and they told me I had a cracked head and they put stop leak to rig it up. These are the worst car dealers I've ever dealt with and I hope their business crumbles to the ground because you don't do this to family people

*WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOT!*Mobile Automotive Mechanics of Kansas City was called out to do a Pre-purchase vehicle inspection for a customer who was looking to buy a car from this lot. Customer booked their appointment online for $35. The 2010 Kia that we were called to look at had an asking price of $4,000. The vehicle's check engine light is on, it needs front brakes and rotors as well as rear brakes and rotors. The passenger side Front fender is smashed in, and the bumper is detached where the fender and bumper meet. Upon sharing these issues and about what they would cost with the customer (who happens to be a female who isnt the most fluent in english) the lot salesman became hostile, and defensive because of our honesty. He got up from his desk demanding that we leave the lot and that he's going to call the police. (Rendering us unable to even test drive the vehicle and complete our inspection, and give the customer a proper and complete evaluation of the vehicle). Because of this we were only charging a remainder of $35 instead of the initial $65 owed for coming out and partially looking over the car. (The woman refused to pay the remaining $35 she owed and stated that she doesnt owe us any more for our Pre-purchase inspection which is really $100 and that she is having someone else look at it.) The lot salesman is a crook, a hustler; trying to take advantage of this lady, who fails to realize it. Don't be as foolish as her.*ALL BEWARE!!*
