We couldn t find anyone else to help us because they were backed up for weeks. Lovena was super helpful and got my girlfriend s car in right away and we left the next day with the new part installed. We felt we could trust them and they treated us kindly with honesty.

Lovena is a huge blessing. She knows her stuff and is down to earth. She didn't hesitate to help me and the men who worked on my car made sure to test drive it several times to be sure it was done RIGHT! They aces in my book!

I don't know what else to think other than they tried to scam me out of thousands of dollars, telling me I needed a new/rebuilt transmission. Brought my car in to get looked at, they did the courtesy check for free with a road test, and called me to give the results. The guy I spoke to said they checked fluid levels (specifically transmission fluid as that's what I was there for), level was fine, the condition of fluid didn't look terrible but there was "metal" in it, and they believed my issue was something internal which would require the transmission to be removed and most likely replaced or rebuilt for the sum of $3500-$5500 depending on the issue. They made a point to tell me that used and new car prices have increased drastically, and they just so happened to have the transmission I needed at another store and could have everything done in a couple days. I verbally told them to go ahead, and they sent the formal approval by text to have me submit my ok. Thankfully I held off on that and decided to get a 2nd opinion. Took my car to another transmission shop, and it turns out I was low on fluid. New shop topped me off and all of my issues went away. Total repair done at another shop for the cost of fluid (approx $35) vs the $3500-$5500 Cottman/AAMCO wanted me to spend. I had also asked Cottman for a printout of their testing results when I picked up my car for the 2nd opinion, so I could have it and show to the new place, and they said they weren't able to do that (that should have been the first clue).I would not recommend anyone go here due to the shady situation I experienced. Cottman used to have a good reputation, so it's sad to see this happen. I'm glad I didn't fork out that money.

Very unprofessional took car in for the 3rd time under warranty for the transmission failing. The first manager lied to me saying it was being worked on but it was still setting in the lot called again to check status and a new manager told me they were having difficulty finding parts for one the most common general motors transmissions used i in all kinds of vehicles since 1996 to present then told me my car would not fit on there lift (even though it had the following two times it was repaired there) then called again to find out there is now a third manager the previous two were fired after a week of employment. After 7 weeks of car being in the shop it was finally repaired and returned to me only to have a very bad rattle in the rear suspension a curbed scratched wheel and the hood release was broken along with the negative battery terminal left causing the car not to start after stopping for dinner the night it was picked up. Go somewhere else to get your car worked on this place was good years ago but not anymore

I got my truck done before I had to go to work and the lady was very helpful she gave me a ride home and picked me up when my truck was done only thing I didn't like was the greedy hand prints all over my truck they were very hard to clean off I haven't driven my truck enough to feel the difference of what was done to it other then the hand prints I had a good experience with their service thank you Pete

I can't say enough about the customer service, they were so polite and helpful in a critical situation. They even answered the phone and helped give me some guidance after they were closed. My situation unfortunately resulted in not being worth it to fix, but they gave me some options and did not try to pressure me in any way. Oh and didn't even charge me a penny! So although I can't speak to the actual service, I wouldn't hesitate to take my new-used vehicle back if something comes up in the future.

I recommend not leaving a car at this location. Yesterday I left my vehicle and today I discovered that the catalytic converter is not there. I told the office lady and she said there was nothing she could do about it. She said it's not the first time it's happened, but I think they should warn customers about this terrible situation. They only say that they are not responsible, but I believe they are as a business in warning of the dangers of the place.

Absolutely phenomenal team here. Rick was super helpful at answering all my questions, from transmission internals to pricing to financing to completion. The techs were friendly and informative. I was quoted 7-10s and got it at 7 days (business) and Rick was great at communicating with me. Customer service A++ and pricing was more affordable than the dealer down the street. Hope to not have transmission issues for a long time and if I do or have friends that do, sending them straight here!Service: Transmission

Jacob was so helpful and very polite throughout the entire process. He kept me updated on everything and offered other small repairs that the mechanics noticed cuz I told him there's just a lot wrong with the car. I am not from around here and I just wanted to see what was wrong with my vehicle. I didn't have them repair my vehicle because they were too busy. Would have taken too long. They did however have the decency to at least look at it for me to tell me what was wrong. No other repair shop in the area would do that. Just for that I would highly recommend this place. Sometimes the smaller places are the best places.

We went to Rick's shop (Cottman/Aamco, Noland Rd & 23rd St, Independence), in need of getting our power steering repaired. He performed a diagnostic, determined the problem, and provided an accurate estimate of repair, which he stuck to. Rick was very customer service oriented, honest, and responsive to us at all times. His communication was quick, continuous and reliable. The repair was completed in a timely manner and well done, at a reasonable price. We appreciate all his efforts and will return anytime we have a car problem. He has a long-term customer, and we have a great mechanic to turn to. I m going to start off by just saying WOW! I have never had a better experience with my vehicle getting worked on, other than right here at aamco. From the management to the shop all around was a clean and hard working establishment. From the moment I walked in they made me feel welcomed and made me feel as if I was in good hands. I went in for what is normally about a 5 hour job and they had it done in only 3 hours! Now my vehicle is running better than ever and was back on the road in no time!! I was really scared to hear that my transmission needed repair but, Rick was amazing at helping me apply for their loan through Snap. He was very considerate of my economic situation and mindful that this is my only vehicle. My truck was in and out in less than a week. Amazing people!!! Brought my car here today to get the breaks and rotors done and I can't even believe how kind and helpful they are. They went above and beyond to help me and I can't say enough about how kind the people here are. If you need your car fixed by intelligent mechanics, and don't want to get up-charged, these people actually treat you like a human instead of a dollar sign this is the place!!! I will be coming here for all of my vehicle repairs. So so thankful for their amazing service and kindness.

This place got me in on the fly as soon as I noticed something was wrong with my car. Everyone at the place was super helpful and friendly and Jacob made sure to update me frequently and got the job done quick. I had a tramission problem with my car. At first, they told me it will take 7 to 10 days to be fixed but the reality it took more than 3 months!!! and they could not to fix the car. During the three months, I had to call many many times to get update on the car and no one gave me an update about the car. Really bad experience and I would not recommend it.

Outstanding job. Had to fab the cooling lines. While under the 93 Ford pickup they found some issues with the frame. When done with the transmission Jake took it over to the frame shop for me. I was impressed with this place. I used their website to make an appointment after 4pm on a Friday and they called me to confirm before 5. Once I got there, they were able to perform diagnostics and a part replacement the same day. I'm planning on going back the next time I have car trouble.

Was having some transmission issue, once my check engine light came on I stopped in and spoke to Rick. They were very prompt and clear about the issues I was having and even found a leak I didn't know about with my power steering pump. They worked with me on getting my car fixed and back to me ahead of schedule. Couldn't ask for better care from a small shop.

Rick and the AAMCO team on 23rd and Noland are excellent! They just completed transmission rebuild for me on my pick-up truck. Rick's communication was great and the speed and quality of work from the Techs is top notch.
