Took almost a month to hook up, which was paid for since you have to pay In Advance for the first two months of service before they will even do it. A couple months later, I waited and waited with cash set aside for my first bill to arrive via mail or email, only to receive a late fee in the mail. I called and was told that it most likely been sent to my email spam and they couldn t do anything about the late fee. But don t worry.. after you remove it from your spam you should be able to receive all their lovely bills.. if you decide to even keep their service

So we have had the internet for a FEW YEARS and then there was a storm. We had a tech (btw- no bad feelings towards the tech people. They were always nice) come a few times to help fix the service since it had been very faulty, sometimes non existent, since the storm. First they installed new equipment which they were supposed to do before the storm even happened. That worked alright for a couple days. Over the past couple months.. this is how it went.1st call. The lady at the office said they would send a tech. A week or so went by with no word from them.2nd call. The lady at the office showed no record of me calling and the excuse was that sometimes they get busy.... I'm sorry... Do post it notes or scratch paper not exist for someone who answers phones?????? I was told she would put in a work order.Another week or so passes..3rd call. I'm told there was a record of me calling but a work order wasn't put in...!!!!!!!A tech comes out. They replace our equipment finally. Internet is spotty.Again... The internet was fine for three years!!!!I call again. I ask for a credit on my account. I get attitude and told they have to talk to their supervisor. I'm told a tech will be sent out and if there are still issues then they will think about a credit. A tech comes again and puts the equipment higher which they wanted to do last time but for some reason couldn't that day.. the internet works for a few days and then it's back to lagging and cutting out for hours at a time. We were told to wait a week because of some contract or something between a couple of companies that have to do with our signal? I don't know... So we wait a week. I call again and ask for a credit since at this point it had been almost two months even though they don't have a record that far back because my call wasn't logged by the person whose job it is to answer phones.....I get a snotty attitude because I asked for a credit. I was told they would have to talk to their supervisor...again. I get told the internet has to be out for 48 consecutive hours before they will issue a credit. I said I'm not paying for bad service, especially after what I've been dealing with.I get a call the next day saying they will credit my account this one time but they are going to disconnect us because obviously the service isn't good enough. I said it was ridiculous that it couldn't be resolved. Why would they think that the internet magically disappeared? I would think it was a placement issue or equipment issue that could be resolved. I could tell by the tone in the ladies voice that they didn't want to deal with it so they were just brushing me off. I got frustrated and asked for a credit and they didn't like it. I told them I felt like they could have fixed it but I knew there was nothing I could do because they had made up there mind and to have a good day.I get a call back from a lady who said I had just talked to their supervisor. Apparently the boss didn't want to talk to me anymore. I was told the boss forgot to tell me that I need to send back the equipment and asked if I wanted their address!!!!I told them I would take a box and shipping label.Nope. They "don't take care of that". I told them I was absolutely not paying for that to be sent back.SilenceI then said that they could come and get it.The lady seriously said that it would be hard to do and then said someone would have to be home and said it like that would deter me from having them come get it... Lol. I told her that wouldn't be a problem.So a week has gone by and the internet is still spotty. The tech just called saying he was on his way. We told him we would love if he could try and fix it because we didn't want to get rid of it. We just want it to work again. He was absolutely willing to do that. He has to call it in because he already had his work order.Guess what? Request denied. Now we are in the country with pretty much no internet options unless we pay a fortune.F#$@ the office people. Their customer service sucks.

I have been without service for 5 days now. I have called every single day and have been told it is due to the atmosphere. I have talked to several others that have been without for days, and several that are not having issues at all. If truly a "atmosphere issue" this does not make sense to me. After calling customer service today and asking if my bill would reflect on the extended time of my outage, my answer was a simple... No. Unbelievable!! Your customer of many, many years cannot wait until NEMR is available in my area. Shame on you Mark Twain...very disappointing.

I've lived in rural areas my entire life and this is hands down the worst rural internet I've ever had. I pay 80 dollars a month for a service that I'm only able to use at strategic points throughout the day. When it works it's okay I suppose but when it's throwing a fit good luck even loading a web page. We have had technicians blow us off and been literally laughed at when we asked if the system would be upgraded anytime soon. 1 star is generous for this company. If you think Comcast is a joke come on out to Lewis County

Love the help desk & field techs. The internet service is terrible. I live in a really rural area. Due to service issues I had to install a 40-foot tower at my own expense to get a signal. Otherwise, I would get 12-hour internet outages. It worked for a while. Now, I am having repeated 12-hour outages regularly no matter the weather conditions. A day without any outage is a miracle. Good luck if you have an outage on a Friday. Forget about any loss-of-use compensation on your billing.

Called to setup internet and was told a possible 3 week lead time for installation. It s been close to a month and still not even a call from a service tech to schedule a time.

If you have a choice of other internet providers, go with them. Internet is crashes every morning. 24/7 service only tells you to unplug and plug back in. Waste of money.You say you re trying to mitigate the issue. But Thai has been and issue for the past 3 years.

Only internet provider. Say they fix the problem but actually don t and the internet still goes out consistently all week. It has been down for the last two weeks with no signs of getting better. Fix your service it s terrible. Do better.

I live in city limits of Edina , formally from Macon , MO. The wireless service at my place has not been good at all and getting service personnel to my residence to fix or help find the problem is a nightmare . Paying for terrible service is about to end , imagine if you called me to fix your a/c and I never responded

Don t recommend this place for wifi. Mine constantly goes out and the help desk people are great but not when you call mark twain themselves. They don t seem to care. The techs never call me back to fix my problem. Only internet coverage in my area but I will be finding something different due to my internet going out all the time.

Mark twain required a payment before they would hook the wireless internet up. I paid them, then they told me it would be 2 weeks until they could come hook it up for me. I waited 2 weeks and nothing, I then called them and they told me it would be another 2 weeks because their shipment hasn't came in. If they knew they didn't have any equipment then why did they require a payment? Finally after 2 MONTHS of waiting for a phone call and waiting for them to come hook up the wireless internet i paid for, i had to cancel and ask for my money back because they still told me the same excuse everytime i called.

the only thing that you can rely on this company for is the monthly billing, complete disconnections are more often than not, and yes i m writing this review on mobile data

When your the only provider isn t eh rates I guess you can just not care about your services provided I pay for the highest package but am lucky if I even get 10 upload speed hopefully one day another provider will be available in the area

If you like fast internet and amazing customer service then Mark Twain Communications it the internet that you want. The ladies on the phone are always nice and helpful. Every technician I've met has always been nice and done an amazing job.

Ok internet phone service is crazy if want call someone one a cell phone cost ya .13 a minute. All for 100 a month

Never get what you re paying for I pay for up to 100 and most of the time I get 10 to 70 and sometimes less. Very rarely see 100 and sometimes don t get any. It sucks but nothing else here for me to get

Imagine being the only provider in the area but never updating anything and consistently having outages might be a good idea to update your 20 year old outdated equipment

Consistent outages. This internet constantly goes through outages. We are forced to use them due to there being no other options. Do not recommend.
