I went in to have my radiator looked at to make sure it was good to go and it was. I will definitely return to have it flushed out in the near future. This place is a definitely hidden gem & I'll recommend them to everyone.

Florissant Garage is a hidden gem in Florissant for auto repair. They have done work on both of my vehicles. From start to finish, I have experienced nothing but kindness and professionalism. If you're in need of repairs or just routine maintenance, give them a call. They are detailed, knowledgeable, and priced well for service. 10/10 I highly recommend.

Went in for safety & emissions but needed catalytic converter replaced to pass. Worked with Adam who gave me options with No pressure, kept me informed & offered a way to give me more time to decide. He was knowledgeable, helpful & patient--esp answering all my questions. Estimate was honest & fair (I checked!) I asked them to check another part of car & received estimate with no pressure to do it immediately. Although parking a bit tight, location is great Due to inclimate weather I arrived later but they still completed by EOD after we agreed on a time change. Had a car break down and needed to find a mechanic in town. Read the google reviews and then called FGR. They were friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. Very understanding and honest. I had my car towed here and called then to let them know it was being dropped off. They got my car looked at in the scheduled promised on the phone. They had to order a part and then completed the repair in just a few hours. Final cost out the door was slightly under what I was quoted on the phone. I will be continuing to give them my business. Highly recommend.

I always get great honest service here. On Thursday, I began my day super early as I had a Catering I was preparing for, when I noticed a grinding coming from my rear brakes. As Florissant Garage is always so busy and you need to make an appointment usually a week in advance, I called in hopes they could help me out. I explained how I could drive my van and absolutely needed it that day for a catering. Even though we're packed once again and didn't have any availability until the next week, They understood and had me bring it right in and a few short hours later, I was back on the road. It was a disaster averted thanks to the quick caring actions of the people at Florissant Garage.Service: Brakes

Florrisant Garage & Radiator was fast, efficient with the repairs. Dropped it off in the morning and the repairs were done the same day. Low prices compared to others. Staff is always friendly. I've been going there for years and the high level of service is consistent.

Brought my car in for AC work. They told me I need a completely new system (condenser, belt, dryer, coolant). I had made an appointment because they are so busy. They had my car for three days before it was ready. Upon picking it up and paying $1800 it wasn't that hot out so I didn't notice that the AC wasn't cooling very well. I tried it again on a day it was 83 and overcast - hardly any cooling. When I popped the hood there was a plastic insulation wrap that was hanging on.Their website writes they are "masters of air conditioning service and replacement."I went to take it back and told them about the situation and the wrap and had to leave it there for another 3 days. Apparently if they do not complete your work; you have to go back to the end of the line.Thankfully they did not hit me with an additional charge, because I would have gone ballistic if they had. No apology, of course, because to apologize means you messed up.This has been an honest review. I have been trying to find a good mechanic since Voss Automotive left town. I will give FGR another shot like I have given others that benefit before I decide to never visit them again (like Gary's Automotive - never going there again).Service: Air conditioning

Car repairs are never as cheap as you want them to be especially as they get up there in mileage, but I have really come to like this shop. I have a mechanic right next to my work, and I would rather take it to these guys (except for an oil change or two) as their labor rates are fair, and they stand by their workmanship. I have become a loyal customer, and they always seem to fit me in no matter how busy they are.

Florissant Garage has maintained 3 vehicles for me over 22 years, which is why it's only been 3 vehicles for BOTH myself and my wife. I am always pleasantly surprised with a lower than the estimated cost for maintenance and repairs. I know they can't service everyone but for those of you who aren't happy with your last mechanic's experience, you NEED to go to Florissant Garage, you won't be disappointed!!Service: Battery

Jeff, Dale and their team of mechanics excel at keeping your vehicle well-maintained while keeping costs low. They are transparent about the details, and do a great job of explaining the trade-offs if there is more than one repair option. I've been a customer and a St. Louis / Florissant resident for over 20 years and there is no one else I would trust to fix my car.

I called to get an emissions test on my car. One of the owners politely asked if I could drop it off. I did so that same afternoon and within 24 hours the test was complete. I even got a walk through on how to register online for my renewal plates as a bonus! It only took 5 minutes to complete online and I really appreciate having Florissant Garage so close to home!

Too notch. I've been taking my vehicles there for twenty years. They are great diagnosticians and do excellent repair and maintenance work. The a/c on my 2000 Chevy Prizm stopped working after 21 years so I made an appt. here to have it checked after reading so many positive reviews. They took care of it promptly at a fair price. The first time I've used Flo garage, I only got a safety and emissions test. My car failed, but the Technician explained why it failed and possible reasons for it. Honest, and trustworthy. I will definitely use them in the future!

I went to FGR for my emissions test and for a problem I was having for emergency work I had to have done at another shop. My car lost all power and I had to have another shop do work. FGR inspected the part and let me know it was a defective part. Unfortunately I had to take it back to other shop. I will have all my work in the future done by FGR as they are very honest and nice people. They have my trust.
