The staff at Scheffer were great to work with. They went out of their way to help us. They made sure our RV was running well. We had fun playing with Ollie.

We live full time in our RV with our dog and cat. On our current trip from Michigan to Texas, my husband felt the class A rv we live in start pulling to the right. We happened to be driving though brown and they were able to get us in the next day. And allowed us to camp in their parking lot. This place went above and beyond for us! Our generator quit working that same night so we booked a hotel to stay in because it was hot and we couldn t run our AC. The hotel room ac wasn t working either so we were prepared to camp in our car.Scheffer truck had RV outlets and water we could use! They were a godsend and saved us in more ways they know. They even allowed us to stay an extra night because the tire repair couldn t get us in till the next day.I can t recommend this place enough. They are honest people, and I would use them again in a heartbeat if we were ever in need and in the area again.Thank you all! We appreciate all you did for us on one of our hardest days!

I was quoted 7k for a repair and was hit with a bill close to 40k! After the fact, I came to find out that I'm not the first to experience this with these guys! They also keep turning off their reviews, making it hard to leave them a bad review to warn others!

March 16, 2020Hey RV travelers; when you are in the Cape Girardeau, MO area and you need mechanical or technical repairs, we very highly recommend that you check out Scheffer Truck repair services. They are located a couple miles off of Interstate 55 on Highway 25 in a quiet peaceful country setting. This family business has a large parking area and even include water and electricity for hook ups if needed.We were traveling home when the shifting module on our Allison transmission fried. We contacted them and immediately they were helpful and assured us they could fix our problem. We had our rig towed to Scheffer's who is a certified Caterpillar and Allison transmission repair center. The shop was very clean and all the staff was friendly and very professional. They diagnosed our problem in a short period of time and parts were ordered the same day. The part arrived in the morning and by noon we were on our way. You will not be disappointed with Scheffer Truck Service. The breakdown was stressful but they made us feel comfortable and assured they could repair the problem. Don't hesitate to give them a call.

The folks at Sheffer Truck service are friendly and professional. They were very attentive to our problem on our class C motor home and promptly started troubleshooting as soon as we arrived. They were a highly recommended RV repair shop and I see why. Thanks.

Excellent shop, with excellent personnel. Our truck was in derate mode when we broth the truck to them. They immediately started working on the truck and repaired the truck in 3 days. We recommend this shop to every one. I went in to have 1 specific thing looked at & estimate. I very clearly said that was the ONLY thing I wanted done. I even pointed out what I wanted and that I already knew of other ac issues. In the first 10 min. they already ignored me & looked into other things. Again I said what I wanted and only that. I simply wanted to know if they could get to the duct work and if so how much it would cost. Just look to see, nothing else. Long aggravating story short, after 2 hrs 15 mi I'm given my bill and a print out of a complete diagnostic front to back that they did. I was told it's no extra cost while waiting on parts prices. It cost me time and i told her i had to go. I lost 1hr work and I said I did not want anything else done. Best part, almost 2 days later & I still have not gotten the estimate for the only thing I went in for. I guarentee the duct waa not even looked at. I was told that's not the problem. It doesn't matter, that is what I specifically asked to check. There is a reason why I wanted to know. Now I have to go pay another shop to find out.

Was sent here by my company for a trailer that had a broken mudflap bracket, hub seal leak, tandems that wouldn't slide, a broken shock, and an air leak. It had been to two previous shops and both said the trailer was fine. They immediately pulled it into the shop and found all of the issues. They were fast and made sure to fix the trailer properly the first time. Wish this shop was in my hometown to get truck work done here.

I could never go back to that ripped off places ever again, I went in there because my a/c compressor wasn t working, and to my amazement; not on they did not fixed the problem but also messed up dash lights and my RPM gage was completely out nothing worked, and to add insults to injury when I asked them to fix their mess, I was told that I was going to be charge for that as well. The way I see things, one day the owner of that lousy place will stand before the good lord and will have to answer for all the evil deed he has done on to others here in this world. Just remember friend s if you see their sign out there on the side of 25 just keep on driving those people aren t good at all.Service: Electrical

Speaking from experience, these guys went above and beyond to get one of our customers up and going. Our customer was broke down in there area and called us to see who we would recommend. These guys delt with our customer honestly and fairly. Our customer was able to get back on the the road the same day and loved the friendly atmosphere. Thank you for treating one of our customers like your own.

Right from the start, these guys were really helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to fix my 20year old motorhome in a timely a manner. Knowledgeable staff, made us feel at home, felt like family. Look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

Had needed my 40ft RV inspected took it to them. These guys gave me a list of problems. Once I got the problems fixed myself they refused to do the inspection. Had me on hold for 15 minutes to tell me that they where booked for months aka they didn't want my business. Drove my rig to another place and they got me in and out.Being a man of color they made me feel very uncomfortable like this might have been a little racial. Would never go there again.

I have been very pleased with the professionalism of everyone at Scheffer Truck Service. The Service Manager and the Techs have been great to work with and their feedback on the work done has been outstanding. The required service has been scheduled and completed timely and as promised. The work order always has very detailed description of the actions/work performed. I have a diesel pusher motor coach that some shops steer away from but Scheffer's has been great to work with.

Last August 2020 on a month+ road trip starting in Houston> Charlotte> Arkansas> to ? we ended our trip with a BIG BANG literally!8.3 Cummings 40' DP RVWashed out a cylinder caused by a bad fuel injector & it destroyed the engine! Left us stranded in Cape Girardeau. Luckily we limped to Scheffer Truck service!I can't say enough good things about Derek and this shop! They totally saved the day & got a good used engine installed & put back together and running perfect! it could have been worse! Derek @ Scheffer had mercy on us! We made it all the way home with ZERO issues! Over 1200 miles! Amazing! I have never had a better experience with such a bad situation! LolThanks Derek!

Needed the brakes on our motorhome worked on -- turned out needed all new rotors and pads all around. Andy and Tom were both SUPERB to work with, very helpful, and the best part was that the work came in $200 UNDER the estimate they had given me. A lot of other shops probably would have just charged what they had estimated, but Scheffer showed themselves to be trustworthy and honest. I would most definitely come back here anytime I'm in the area and need work done on my motorhome. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Awesome group of people, friendly exceptional service! Truck was down with a bad brake chamber and they got me in immediately. Nice clean big lot and facility. I would definitely go back for service. Thank you Scheffer!

I cannot say enough great things about Scheffer Truck Service! I had called them with a few problems regarding my car and they were able to squeeze me in to fix the problem! Their customer service was phenomenal and very informative as what I should do if anything happens again! My husband has his work truck parked down there for DHL Supply chain. They always make sure that if there is something wrong with the truck that they get it done before he has to leave for work. Also the other day they called him and told him about a flat tire that he had on the truck. I will be take my big truck to them when we start are own business. They are very friendly and great to get long with.

Friendly and fantastic service! Performed alignment and discovered parts needed replaced. Replaced parts needed and aligned. Truck drove like new again. Had a wheel seal leaking so I stopped in and they brought truck straight into shop.They diagnosed why it was leaking fixed it and sent me on my way in a timely fashion.Most shops just threw parts at them hoping it fixes it.Wish they were in my home town to maintain my semi on a regular basis.

I had a truck breakdown in Cape Girardeau and called Scheffer's to come out and take a look at it, the mechanic figured out the problem quickly and had the parts the truck needed on hand. We are a moving company and really needed to get the truck to the customers house to unload so the mechanic put batteries in it so my guys could get to the house and he followed them there to put the alternator in. We run trucks all over the country and this had to be some of the best service we have gotten on the road, I would highly recommend these guys if you have truck problems in that area, thank you Scheffer's.

Shout out to Sheffer Truck Service for their fantastic service on The Beast, our RV. They not only treated us like family, but also showed that same kindness to our two small fur-babies while we waited. Will highly recommend them!

Truck broke down called this business and they were on it right away! And was very friendly the gentlemen that came and worked on my truck was a really nice guy amd friendly! Amd he could definitely tell my frustation not with him but with the truck issue! Only took like 3mins to get to the root of the problem and what would of took a normal person a hour took him 25mins amd he made sure it was right! I don't remember the gentleman's name but good guy! Amd fyi i would recommend them to anyone in a heart beat! Cape Girardeau Mo!
