I bought a replacement transmission for my Toyota Camry but as soon as the new one came in the old one started working perfectly again well as perfectly as it could so I just left it out and never installed it and kept driving the car and then four years later the engine blew its head gasket because the water pump started leaking and the temperature sensor doesn't read anything because it's just really quality engineering so I decided I really wanted that exhilarating Toyota experience and my golf cart so I bought a harbor freight engine welded it to my transmission my spare one and away I went and now I can clunk in style

I was told by a mechanic that I was low on trans fluid, needed a couple of quarts but they didn t do anything associated with trans. Suggested I take it to RANCO. Ranco checked and said I was about 1/2 a quart low and didn t have any problems. Very friendly

I highly recommend this business. They were always polite whenever I checked on updates and they took the time to explain the problem that my transmission was having. Also, I was given a 1-year, unlimited mileage warranty.If any of our other vehicles develop a transmission problem, I would feel very confident if they did the repairs.

Wouldn t recommend taking a bicycle to them. My husband took his 2015 Silverado there and they misdiagnosed it. After paying them $1200.00 and 2 weeks later we took it to David Smith Auto and had it fixed for $400.00 in one day. The owner of Ranco told us he wasn t familiar with that shop and did nothing to help with the repair, even with a receipt in hand.

My 2005 Ford Escape automatic transmission went out several months ago, with 230k miles. Upon a recommendation of a friend i had it towed to Ranco after getting an astronomical estimate far above the book value from our local dealership. They checked it out and gave me an estimate to remove, totally rebuild and replace my transmission at about $2,000 less than the other price I received. I said a little prayer and gave them approval to proceed.Within a few days I got a call and my first thought was, uh-oh, I hope they didn t get my car apart, find other problems and need approval for more money. Wonderfully my fears were unwarranted because they were casually calling to let me know my car was finished and ready to go. When I asked the cost, they told me just what they estimated. (Didn t know that still ever happened!) Both my wife and I being retired our budget cannot take many unpleasant surprises.I picked my car up about 3 months ago and it drives just like a new one again. When I inquired about warranty, they said one year; unlimited mileage. WOW!!!,I went on a road trip about 2 weeks ago and the gas mileage was improved by around 20+%. I wasn t expecting that pleasant surprise.I have nothing but praise and gratitude for this fine local business and it s terrific job well done.Service: Transmission

My mom needed her transmission replaced. We had been referred to Ranco, and their service as well as customer service was top notch.Love that they gave us options to consider, and made sure her concerns were addressed. An unexpected expense but a great experience handling it.

They rebuilt my automatic transmission in my 1999 Ford F250. They were fairly quick getting it done. The price was decent. I greatly appreciate the fact that they worked with me on a payment plan. Even though I was not able get my truck back until it was paid, it was worth it.

When I say absolutely the best in town. My veh was towed to Mr. Russ on Monday. Had my car back on Wednesday with a new transmission. Mr. Russ worked well with my warranty company. Great service and they really stand behind their work. I had my transmission rebuilt awhile back but it recently started having more issues pertaining to my reverse not working properly they had to take the entire transmission out to find the problem and make the repairs. It took about a week or so to complete the work. In total once the work was done they charged me nothing at all to make those repairs and replacement parts. Thanks you Ranco.

On 07-20-20 I was towing my camper to a campground in Mississippi just before arriving I started having transmission problems, I made it to the campground unhooked and looked for a transmission shop. I found Ranco about 20 miles away, they quickly diagnosed my problem ordered the necessary parts having them shipped overnight. They gave me a ride back to the campground, picked me up the following afternoon and took me back to the shop. My truck drove great going back to Alabama. I highly recommend Ranco Transmission and Russ Porter they saved my vacation.

I have used Ranco several times over the years and never had a failure with any rebuilt trans the installed for me. It was 3 or 4 over the years for my company. HVAC service trucks with a lot of starting and stopping. Highly recommend, and very good pricing.

We got stranded with transmission trouble in Florence, MS. Russ and his friendly team at Ranco took such good care of us. He repaired our truck as quick as possible and was very fair on his charges. We highly recommend this business.

I had my 2007 F150 Transmission rebuilt by the shop so far so good. My only complaint is they did not communicate very well with me with status updates. Note.. I will update this post as I put more miles on the transmission currently at 200 miles.

The work we had done on our transmission was performed very quickly Russ sent a tow truck for our Avalanche when we called.The truck was done in less then two days and the transmission preformed perfectly ,the people at Ranco are very professional and knowledgeable and honest.Highly recommend them.

$1850 to rebuild a 4l60E... 1yr warranty... yeah ok.. phone attitude was just as bad. I went and bought a quality reman, $1480 at another supplier.. 3yr warranty unlimited miles.. had it installed for $250 someplace else. and didnt have to wait 2 weeks or deal with attitude. do your research people.

I have been getting the run around on my truck for months now. His put me in a bind to the point now I do not have a vehicle to get back and forth to work. I cannot vouch for the quality of their work because I have not seen it . my truck was supposed to go in for a clutch job now saying a rear-end job it took him over a month to come up with that diagnosis.

I hate to even give 1 star quality service. Highly unprofessional and not recommended. They re a total rip off. Took our vehicle there for transmission leak, left in a worse predicament than before. I ll recommend using Google because they practice on vehicles until they take it somewhere else to figure out the problems after their multiple attempts to repair the problem.

I would never recommend this service to anyone. I took my car there to get my transmission rebuilt. It cost me 1800 dollars and i had to take it back there 6 different times because it was not fixed right!!! My car til this day still does not shift right!!! They do things half butt and they are full of crap!!!! Even the lady in the office is rude!!!! Im telling everyone out there who needs there transmission to be worked on go somewhere else because they will do a crappy job!!!!

These guys were absolutely amazing!! They came to my car and fixed it for nothing!!! If I ever have anymore transmission problems this is where I ll go and I ll refer everyone I know to them!!

Had transmission rebuilt. Wasnt done right had to take it back 3 times. Gave them a second chance on friends truck and they lied multiple times about time of completition. Totally inconvenient. Do not recommend this service

They wanted entirely to much to rebuild an old 727 transmission. $1800 for the rebuild while I can order one for $2000.

Very courteous and very informative. The guy I spoke with gave me some very valuable information that was free.And offered to help if that didn't work. That's good service.

Do not go to this shop. They charge me 2000 and come to fine out when I took my car to another shop they left bolts out. No wonder it keep messing up on me
