Sandra Council is the most gracious, awesome, staff member. She is such a great asset to Quality Inn at Clarksdale, Mississippi location. She assisted me in getting refund after my card was charged. I prepaid for hotel but yet the clerk on Sunday, Jan 7, checked me in and charged my card. I am grateful for Ms. Council in helping me.The hotel room was nice but disappointing that there was no food for buffet breakfast due to hotel renovations and food truck not delivering food, other than that one incident, my stay was pleasant. Thank you Ms. Council. Go bless you!!Robin Taylor

One of the most horrific hotel stays I've EVER encountered! Walking into the hotel there was unsavory looking people in the parking lot, the "locked at all times door" was held open by a shoe in the door. No room pass key needed! The room looked decent at first look.. looks can be deceiving! We ordered a pizza, what was left in the box we put on the table for our daughter and grandson who was coming to stay in another room. When they arrived she said the hall smelled strongly with marijuana. She opened the pizza box to get pizza and roaches run everywhere. To make matters worse my husband went to take his medicine and a drink from a can of soda he opened an hour earlier and there was roaches on and I assume inside the can. There's been no apologies, refunds at all! I didn't sleep nor did we feel comfortable leaving at night. I am still upset over the ordeal. It was not a pleasant place or would I recommend it to anyone!

I ve been coming to this hotel every month at least once sometimes twice and I travel over 6 hours from Georgia since February 2021. At the beginning the service was great but since they hired new management and employees it s been horrible. I booked a room oj the Choice Hotel website because I m a member and usually either I ll use my points or book at the hotel. Well I received a phone call from staff yesterday asking me to pay in advance, I ask why do I need to do that when I ve been paying ay the hotel and the guest rep said things changed. I requested a supervisor and Patrina for on the phone. I tried asking her the same thing since she supposed to be the manager and the call dropped. She never called back so I called back and ask her if she hung up on me and she said, with an attitude as usual, why would she hang up on me * proceeded again to ask and she said they have a new general manager who wants all reservations paid in advance. I ask to speak to that GM and was told I couldn t. The call dropped and my reservation was cancelled. I called Choice Hotel and was advised to file a complaint in which I did. Choice Hotel said it would go to the GM. Nothing was resolved and I booked another reservation in which choice hotel verified was pre authorized. I travel over 6 hours today, get to the hotel and the same young girl who checked me in two weeks ago was smiling. I went up to the counter and she ask my name, I told her and she goes here s a big note saying we no longer can rent a room to you. Your reservations have been cancelled and she showed me all the check ins. I ask why was I put on do not rent and she claimed she didn t know. As she was talking she kept smiling and was laughing shaking her head. I ask to speak Gm her manager and she refused to call or provide the GM number. A lady by the name of Mona comes around, hve never seen her before and she goes is this her and points at me. I ask her why was I on the do not rent and she said wirh an attitude, I don t know you ll have to speak to Patrina on Monday. I ask her name and she spells it out with attitude. I ve never seen this lady before so I m guessing she s knew. This is very disrespectful to have been treated don such a way and especially the fact I ve been giving them my business since February last year. I had to drive another 30 minutes to another hotel which was out the way because all the hotels were booked. The GM never bothered to call me to get my side of the story and instead allowed the manager to do as she see fit. She clearly has a personal issue with me and we should never mix business with personal. If anyone has the owners contact info please share as I m not going to stop until they re aware of the people running their business . I ve also filed a complaint with the BBB to which they haven t responded fo yet and it seems they don t care and feel they can do as they wish. I was Insulted, left with no where to go, has fo pay way more, was laughed at, degraded and more.

This was a nice hotel and the front desk person, Sandra, was very friendly, efficient and informative about the hotel. The room was average as far as hotels go. We slept well, hotel was quiet and located near lots of fast food restaurants & stores. The breakfast was advertised as "hot breakfast", but the only thing hot they offered was waffles. There was no other hot food (eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, etc) for the 2 days we stayed. Housekeeping was very friendly and supplied more than enough fresh towels for our stay. Also, the vending machine did not return part of my money from trying to purchase water, but the night staff person apologized and let me know they would need to make a report and it would be taken care of by day staff the next day, but he immediately provided water from the front desk to compensate and I really appreciated that. Overall this was a pleasant experience and if we're ever in Clarksdale, MS again, this is where we'll stay.

I was in town for a family reunion, this hotel needs a total renovation! No elevator! Some of the rooms were not cleaned properly, the toilet didn t work. I quickly canceled my reservation upon arriving. The only thing I could say about this place the staff is friendly and tried to accommodate everyone. Whoever owns or manages this location is failing visitors and out of town guests.

Upon walking in, the front desk clerk walked in right behind me and asked How can I help you? She wasn t dressed professionally or anything like that. If I remember correctly she was standing at this car talking to a guy. Upon checking in, the first room had pillows thrown on the bed with no pillow cases, one set of towels and no shower curtain. We got assigned to another room but when we got to the door we heard noise coming from that room and the door was partially open. The third room was acceptable for our two night stay. The biggest problem is when we asked to speak to a manager the young lady called then the manager stated Why they want to speak with me? It appears that the guy in the car was the girls boyfriend that was hanging out at the hotel. He was on the phone with someone and they was going back and forth, very loudly which made us a little concerned. We have the Choice Credit Card and after using our points we plan to cancel the card, Enough Is Enough.

remote didn't work, no shower curtain, side door didn't work. " Hot breakfast if you consider a frozen burrito in the microwave, no coffee cups. Young man at the desk was nice and very apologetic for the condition of this place. After many years we are leaving Choice Hotels chain.

The hotel had friendly, helpful staff and the rooms were quiet. Those were the only positive aspects of this dilapidated hotel. The hotel is in serious need of repair and upgrade. There is no elevator for guests to use. The carpet looks old and worn. Inside our room the carpet looked dirty and had holes. The refrigerator was warm, the tv remote didn't work, there were holes torn in the lamp shade, the air conditioner had a loud rattle sound, the bedspreads were ugly and stained and the furniture had chunks broken off. I plugged my cooler into a wall socket and the plug fell out because the socket was so loose. The phone had red lights that blinked non-stop. The worst part was that the sheets were dirty. I pulled back my bedspread and saw that the bottom sheet was dirty with what looked like bodily fluids. I complained to the staff and received fresh sheets but did not feel comfortable in the room. I would never stay at this hotel again. The rate was $146 for a Thursday night!Noteworthy details: There was no elevator in this hotel!

Nice looking hotel on the outside. Friendly Desk help. It smells wet. Laundry aide and housekeepers are unprofessional. Not enough towels left in room and no towels available following day. No smoke detectors in room( they were ripped out of the high ceiling) Tub was filthy. Soap scum rings, and it took over 30 minutes for the water to drain. This is a last resort, emergency 1 night stay hotel. Look elsewhere first

Awful! Awful! Awful! Currently here now. Just exchanged the comforter for another one because there were multiple stains. Second one also had stains but not as many as the first. Cloth chairs are extra nasty and you don t even want to know about the tub. Just filthy! Ring around the tub and everything. Front desk said it was just old. Husband went to check out another room to see if we could move and that tub was filthy and the bed didn t even have a comforter. We just decided to stay in our original and tough it out. I have never in my life seen a hotel this bad!

When we arrived the room had an awful smell but the room looked nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It took them two days to replace the towels in our rooms . The refrigerator and the air conditioner in my mom's room were not working and it took them two days to come and fix those. Breakfast was okay but they only cooked about 10 strips of bacon a day. But the ladies cooking breakfast were really sweet. One even made us a special plate of eggs.

As soon as we entered the room we sanitized the room for our safety of course because of Covid. I checked around to make sure everything was in tack. I opened your the nightstand drawer and there was a cockroach In it. Also there was leftover food and beverages that was spilled all over the mini fridge . The housekeepers never changed our sheets or offered us fresh towels ( we had to ask for them at the front desk ) other than that really had no other problems I just felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there after I seen the roach. Also there was cereal spilled in the hallway for hours outside our room door before anybody cleaned it up. The housekeepers literally walked by like nothing was there . Overall they just need better customer service and actually do their job

What a rathole. Placed in a run down, creepy area. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff who act like they don't want you there. Hallways smell strongly of mildew and cigarettes. Outdoor pool is completely trashed and looks like it hasn't been open in years.I'd say 'this is ok if you're on a budget', but no, we booked this at over $90. I feel like I've been robbed. I was also worried about being robbed in this area. Don't recommend staying here

This hotel was previously a comfort Inn and always nice and clean. The hotel isn't terrible but it feels is if the upkeep just isn't up to par any longer. We booked a two day stay and noticed after the first day that our room hadn't been cleaned my wife went to the front desk for towels and was told that they only clean every three days or upon request, after years of staying here this will be our last.

If all you need is a decent room, it's an ok stay. If you want coffee, a decent grab and go continental breakfast, go somewhere else. Rooms were clean, but young people hang around outside loitering in the evening, which could make people unfamiliar with the area feel very uncomfortable.

This place needs negative stars. First upon check in, the room was dirty. No comforters on the bed and a previous guest had a meal that was left in the microwave and fridge. Roaches were in the refrigerator. When we confronted Eric the manager he was very irate. In fact while I was away from the hotel looking for pedialyte & other otc meds because the breakfast buffet made some of the members of my family I'll, Eric decided to call the police thinking that I skipped out on the room bill. A teenager was actually still in the room asleep while we were gone. Every attempt to reach management and corporate about this incident has been a nightmare & we have received nothing but hostility from the staff. One desk clerk even had her mother to come to the hotel to assault me. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. Sleep in your vehicle if you must. As the other reviews stated, it's a nasty, ill kept facility with rude, unpleasant staff. I'm surprised that the authorities haven't shut it down. There was various code violations including some form of construction going at the entrance which they merely taped off. Hotel Hell should be the name of this place because Quality is not what you receive when you book here.

I reluctantly gave this hotel 3 stars Because the staff was so nice. The first room we had obviously had a water damage smell. My husband is allergic to mold so we had to move. The night clerk at the desk was very accommodating and moved us asap. My other family member had to be moved because their room hadn't been cleaned yet. She was the only person working that night. Out next room was much better. Only thing is now we were on the 2nd floor and my mother who is over 70 had to walk up these steep steps. The water machine and the ice machine didn't work. The The side doors didn't require a key to get in. My cousin found a random 4 year old wandering The halls unattended. They had to find his parent. The food was ok at best. Again, the staff was very nice. We didn't ask For a discount though one should have been offered we stayed about 4 days. For the prices of the rooms I expected a better quality but I will say the lady with the dog and the other front desk attendant was very nice to us, also. We didn't complain to the staff, because a convention was going on at the same time we didn't want to add to the headache. I will have to think twice about staying again. But if I absolutely had to, I probably will.
