PLEASE READ: I have a horror story about this place , but that is not the point of this review. Be aware, this shop holds a LARGE contract with one of the local auto manufacturers. GM,FORD,CRYSLER. I saw 3 4x4 palettes stacked 6 feet high end to end with Cylinder heads. THIS IS WHERE THIS SHOP MAKES IT'S MONEY!!! Not us small guys running a shop or building a hot rod.....BE AWARE OF THIS FACT...... MIGHT WANT TO LOOK ELSE WHERE!!!!

I have been using this machine shop for a long time for my performance shop. They can handle any small to large job I throw at them, and they complete jobs for me in a time manner that is very acceptable for me and my customers. Many of the job I bring them are resurfaces that are done in a few hours or less and valve jobs than normally take 2-3 days max depending on what parts the heads need. I have also had them to full assemblies of motors for me to help save time in my shop. Every item I get back from them is of high quality and is still on the road today without any problems. I started using them in 2008 and have seen them expand into a very nice and bigger, more usable space and the price still reflects good quality work, not just a bigger building. I highly recommend using them for you build.

These guys are great. Took Audi A4 cylinder head for cleaning and resurface. They did a great job and treated me well. Thank you, Bill and Jay, I'll be back for other projects in the future.

Automotive Machine is the best in the business. We've been dealing with Bart & Jack for over 10 years now. Never had an issue with them and the work always turn out 100%.If you need your block/heads or any other machining work done, this is the place to go to!

Besides charging me for arp head studs that I provided and not replacing an original oil pump(that I had to pull the motor back out and replace during 1st start up, which they reimbursed for the cost of the part) and the original price went up from what i was quoted. They do some great work, you just have t9o be patient and expect to spend more than quoted

They resurfaced my mustang flywheel in 24 hours and did a fantastic job! They did not overcharge! Very professional work and clean shop. These guys are the best. Thank you

Best machine shop around. I've been using them for 7 years now. Any job big or small, they always do a great job and definitely fair pricing for the quality of work. Jack is extremely knowledgeable and always helps me out. Recommended to anyone!

My only problem is they quoted me 4 weeks to complete the work, I picked it up 4 months later to find they did not complete all the work I originally asked them to do. I will find a new shop next time. I recommend them if you have absolutely no timeline you are working with.I was asked "When would you like this done?" only to be answered with, "No, it will be done,,,,,,". Then that date was tossed out the window anyways. The work that was done I am happy with, if only they did all I asked. Of course they would complete for even more $$.

Jack has been doing all of my engine builds for 10 years for my 3 drag cars, I have never had any issues with any work they have done. I've only had one failure, and it was due to fatigue from age.

Awsome customer service. I'm not a Mechanic by trade, these guys were able to help me and not take advantage. The cost was a bit high considering what others said it should cost, but I offered more money to get the work done quicker, so I guess that's why. They had can bearings in and line bored in less than a week. Not to mention they dident turn me away with a Mercedees block out of a freightliner. They made the tool they needed and got it done.

Jack is very knowledgeable. It is great to find a shop that listens carefully to what you want to create, and will tell you what is necessary to accomplish it. We set out to build a super dependable 600 hp stroked 454 for use in a 22' Donzi. Dyno numbers came in at 598 hp and 585 ft lbs, based on their build recommendations. Can't beat that.

Place is the go to for any kind of performance and workman ship honest and great service the quality of work and picky ness is hands down if you want it to last regardless if it s high power or just one Ull definitely get it here !!!! Only place to have a motor built or machining done !!!!

Over 4 months for work. I ended up providing them rods they could not source. Strange as I did with one phone call. Crankshaft not machined to factory specifications. Heads are a mess. What a waist of time and money.

They had my head and parts for over a year. Nothing was done to it.took it to another shop , it was done in 4 days. Save yourself time don't go to this shop.
