Ordered a truck cap while temporarily out of state. Joel made the process super easy. They held the cap for us for about a month until we'd be back, passing through the area.

I didn't catch his name but we can't thank the owner of Alpena Diesel enough for the help he gave us. He was out walking and saw my daughter at a trail parking lot and noticed she was having trouble starting her car. He went and got his tools and diagnosed the problem. He had to leave but my daughter relayed his diagnosis to me. So I picked up a battery and an alternator and drove 6 hours to my daughter's car. Shortly after I arrived the guy from Alpena Diesel returned. By that time it was dark, cold (~45'F), and I couldn't get the serpentine belt back on in that extremely tight space. Without even blinking an eye, he took his jacket off and was able to squeeze his arms enough to get the belt back on the pulleys, etc. The whole time he was very friendly and never asked for any kind of payment. To me all of that showed a lot about his character. If I was ever in the area and had a diesel engine that needed repair, I'd definitely take it to Alpena Diesel.

Just picked up ARE pickup topper cap today. Super knowledgeable and courteous service. It looks great and is just what we wanted. Very glad we chose to buy locally and deal with Alpena Diesel! They're great! Highly recommend.

Best customer service ever! I met Joel after hours to buy a used ARE cap. He installed the whole thing and even put new clamps and weather stripping on. He noticed the lock was a little stiff and threw a new one on. And printed the wiring diagram for hooking up the lights. Honestly the best service I have ever had anywhere! Thank you Joel!

I needed a handle replacement for my topper. Joel was very helpful and went above what was strictly necessary, including tightening my clamps on my topper when he noticed they were slightly loose.
