The owner here is so unnecessarily condescending. You'd get better customer service from an automated kiosk than this place and its owner. During my day off last week I brought my car in for an inspection, the same way I did last year at this location. I have an EV and recognize the process was a little different and I was turned away because I didn't have a generic piece of equipment so they could jack my car up. That's not the problem. The problem was the condescending and dismissive attitude of the owner. Rather than answer a simple question, he restated the same 4 word response.Mind you during my previous inspection, nothing additional was requirement and I did not even own that piece of equipment last year. When I asked why this wasn't a requirement last year he reinforced that it was and insinuated I must be mistaken and that they definitely didn't perform the inspection last year. When I explained that it was done here I even recounted the conversation he and I had the prior year while I was waiting. It was at this business and with the same individual but the insinuations of me being wrong or lying continued.I decided to try again after that will all the necessary equipment in hand. Needless to say the attitude was exactly the same and I left. The owner seems like he doesn't want my business so I decided to not give it to him. I think he needs a wake up call or at the very least to remove himself from customer facing functions.

Great gas station, competitive prices and the best service ever! These guys come out and pump gas for you take your credit card back to the car and even wash windows or put air in your tires like the old time service used to be. It's great in the winter I can just pull in and stay nice and warm while I fill up.

I would give 10 stars if I could. My car started shrieking yesterday. We thought it was the brakes. They could have charged us for a brake job. It turns out it was a pebble stuck somewhere in the wheel or brake. They added antifreeze and replaced a bulb that had burned out and these together with the work to remove the pebble cost me less than $100. They are very honest. I plan to get all my car work done there.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I got gas this morning -- June 16th, 2023. I have to give a shout out to the attendant. He was friendly and refreshingly real in a way that you don't encounter often. It was a nice way to start my day.Update 9/28/23 -- he's still there and still the best gas attendant I've ever encountered (and I started driving in 1977)

I went to this place because I received a welcome letter from them, and I am so glad I did. I always went to the official dealership of my car, and they told me that I needed to change my brakes. I mentioned this to the owner of this place, and they were very honest, and they thought that changing the brakes wouldn't be necessary for another year. So, what I can say about this shop is that I would return because I know I can trust them now. They provided excellent service.

Called and was able to drop my car off the next day. They called with a detailed list of the repairs needed and labor with broken down costs for each item. Then it was fixed and ready the same day. Fantastic service!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle InspectionServices: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

Great place to stop and get gas or get your vehicle repaired. Their pump attendants always are friendly and extremely helpful even with directions in the area; not to mention they're funny. Gas prices are always very fair and on par if not below others. The service you get when you need a repair is friendly and knowledgeable. Probably wouldn't go anywhere else to get a fill up or advise on cars. Keep up the good work.

Had an issue where both bolts of one of my brake calipers snapped while driving. Took it to Sudbury Automotive since I had a letter that offered a free oil change so I figured I could get two things done at once. Major red flags here:1) Even though I said that both bolts snapped, they only looked at the bottom bolt and sliding pin (and they have it written on the invoice that it wasn't only one bolt that snapped). To nobody's surprise, the top one snapped again during their warranty period - I called to let them know, but they refused to honor their warranty because "they didn't look at the top one" and supposedly they used one of the bolts and sliding pins I had in my car, instead of one of their own parts. When I asked why they didn't just use their own part, Pat (he was the one who answered the phone) made up a story of how they didn't have the part in stock that day and I told them to use one of my sliding pins, but he said no, but he still used it even though he said no - couldn't even get his own made up story straight. That never happened - I did have spare bolts and sliding pins in my car, and I showed Pat, outside, in the parking lot, what the issue was; I never told them to use those parts instead of theirs. They've cut corners specifically so they don't have to address any warranty issues down the road! Would you really trust them with something like the car's brakes after only doing half the job, and not even that done properly?2) After they performed the oil change, they started sending me texts and letters in the mail that I am due for another oil change after 5,000 miles, because "Toyota recommends changing the oil every 5000 miles". Toyota recommends changing the oil every 10,000 miles, this has been the case for years, anyone with access to internet can check it on Toyota's official website, they simply lie about the frequency so they can charge you for oil changes twice as often.3) As a bonus, they made a huge deal about my tires, and how my car won't pass the inspection - when in fact my car passed the inspection just one month before I took it in, and there was no issue with the thread left on my tires. They were just really pushy about selling me new tires.Avoid them at all costs, they are irresponsible with their repairs and will blatantly lie to you about your car in order to make money.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Always less expensive gas despite being full serve. Never had car repairs done but they do thorough car inspections. Friendly staff. Convenient location.

Better quality of service than any dealership. Their prices are fair and market priced for European car service. You can pretty much get your car serviced in less than a day's notice and most work is done within a day. Icing on the cake is their fleet of well maintained Volvo loaner cars. I've had 7 of my cars maintained here over the past 10+ years and never had a single issue with their customer service, quality and workmanship. Only once a front brake rotor got warped sooner than anticipated it turned out to be a part defect, Pat stood behind their warranty and replaced it, no questions asked. Don't judge the place from its looks, it is quality service, this is not your typical grease shop found at other gas stations.

If you need a good mechanic, Tony Lakkis at Sudbury Automotive (Mobil station) is GREAT! We have had both cars worked on: breaks, engine, belts, tires, power steering, etc. He and his son Johnny were knowledgable, communicative, reasonable, accommodating, and efficient. Highly recommend!!

I've stopped here many times to get gas on the way home from Marlborough. They provide full service fill ups with window washing, and the gas prices are usually the same or lower than surrounding stations.I also had the unfortunate event of my battery dying while I was waiting for my tank to fill up (nothing to do with Sudbury Auto). It was just after 5:30pm and they were closing up shop. The mechanic gave me the option of a FREE rental car (which are all Volvos) until they were open again the next day to fix the battery.I don't know if it was my visible frustration with the whole situation (which was my knowing fault), but he looked up the battery part number, said he had the battery in stock, and offered to replace the battery right then and there. It was after closing time and he was very willing to help. Of course I took him up on his repair offer and he fixed it in less than 15 minutes. Great guys who helped me out that day.Pros: Empathetic and knowledgeable service, decent prices, free loaner cars, full service fill-ups, location off of Route 20, local companyCons: Can't find a sign that actually says "Sudbury Automotive"

Took my Prius in because the battery keeps dying even after multiple jumps. The battery was replaced in December and is dead since March then COVID hit... Drop off the car and 2 hours later I get, your inspection isn't going to pass because you need new wiper blades (replaced in January), new brakes (replaced in September 2020), tires rotated (the only legit thing that needed outside of the battery issue), and they can only say the battery is dead. This is the second time I've taken my car here and they try to nickel and dime me to death and try to force things on you that you don't need. And to make matters worse they try to hold you over a barrel to buy these things threatening you with not being able to take your car or to fail your inspection.Do not use this place. It is a sham.

Looking for inspection sticker? They are hard to come by here.1) they listed something on inspection failure report that was working fine.2) after replacing the tire they had an issue with, they claimed a different tire had tread too low and refused to give sticker. That tire wasn't a problem the first time. 2 weeks later it's suddenly bad enough to fail me again? What kind of games are they playing?3) They fail for petty reasons. Aside from being a stickler for tire tread, another example is one out of two light bulbs above license plate being out. Really?Took it to my trusted, local mechanic and he couldn't believe they failed me!While in waiting room second time another customer also came back for retest and said similar story that his local mechanic did not think tire was bad enough to fail. So im definitely not the only one frustrated by their BS. Waste of time and money.

They will do the work by the book which is fine if you are absolutely novice at anything car related. Keep in mind doing every single thing by the book will cost you a pretty penny. I did not appreciate the condescending attitude. Always got oil changes here in the past. Will be going to Sullivan tires now.

We have used Sudbury Automotive for over 20 years. Patrick and his staff are courteous, kind, professional, and Patrick always goes out of his way to assist us. Even pulling a car out of the woods for us with great care and success! If you live in the Sudbury/Wayland area, Sudbury Automotive should be your mechanic! Free loaner cars, too!

I have 2 cars that just came out of warranty and I decided to switch from dealer to a local. The front staff guy was sarcastic and seemed irritated. With a bunch of other workshops around, I decided to move on to finding a different shop.

Do not bring your car here for inspection. My husband's car was failed because the tread was "too low" even though we could not find a thing wrong with the tires. Since we got a fail we had to buy two new tires which we did somewhere else and brought it back for re-inspection. While my husband was in the shop 3 other people's cars were failed for ridiculous things (i.e. 1 out of 3 bulbs on a taillight was out, one person didn't have her front license plate attached). It is statistically almost impossible to have that many people in a wait money room have a fail on their inspection. It seems like they just want to get as much money from people as possible.

Fine service and fast, but I was told that I'm not allowed to have any LEDs on my car and it it was one of the reasons my car was failed. All of the LEDs were colorless or white, which I confirmed were legal with both another inspector and the RMV. If my mechanic hadn't confirmed all my LEDs were legal before changing them I'd be out a substantial amount of money because this shop was unaware of the law.

Have lived in Sudbury nearly 16 years and we take all our cars here. We have an Explorer 2002, Toyota Rav 4 2001 and Toyota Echo 2000 - all old cars and still going well. If you don't know anything about cars you have to find someone you can trust. We feel that they are honest and reliable.

Expensive and sloppy. Charged $80 for a synthetic oil change I didn't request which then drained out over the next two weeks because they didn't replace the drain plug gasket. Had the fuel pump replaced which then smelled like raw gas for a week because the didn't change the mounting gasket. The prices charged are only barely lower than a dealer.

Nice, honest people and owner. Affordable rates and always has the lowest gas prices. You get an honest estimate for parts and labor and the work performed is always top of the line.
