My son's 2010 Prius gave us the dreaded "Check Hybrid System" alert one morning. We took it to a Toyota dealer, but once they spotted a mouse nest in the trunk area, they wouldn't touch it without paying them $1,500 to assess the possible mouse damage to the battery. They recommended calling our insurance company who would probably total the car.We said "No thank you" and called PriusKings. Bob came out, disassembled the battery assembly, found the chewed wires, and even disposed of the mouse nests and long-deceased mouse. He then installed a reconditioned battery with nice new wiring harnesses, all for a bit more than Toyota wanted just to diagnose the issue. We couldn't be happier.Bob was a pleasure to deal with and definitely saved our car from a premature demise. Thanks to PriusKings for their good work.Service: Battery

I highly recommend working with Priuskings. My 2006 Prius had a battery issue and Bob provided fantastic service throughout the whole process. On the first visit he quickly identified the hybrid battery needed to be replaced. I really appreciated the fact he explained the error codes involved, how long batteries last, and what goes into replacing the battery. I told him I'd think about it since the car was old, and appreciated his patience while I made a decision.After I decided to make the investment in a new battery, Bob replaced it in under an hour and did a test drive just to make sure it was all set. It felt like he was personally invested in getting my car back on the road. A couple of weeks ago I was told by a mechanic that a hybrid battery replacement for my Prius would have been in the ballpark of $4000! Luckily, I stumbled upon Prius Kings and paid a little less than half of what I was originally quoted by the other mechanic. Bob came by to my house and was in and out within 45 minutes. Super friendly, efficient, and smart. My car is running awesome so far! Hopefully I won't have to call Prius Kings anytime soon but I know who to call if I have any battery issues. Great experience! Special shout out to Bob who fixed my battery at home and was professional and friendly. He was very thorough in checking out my car, running diagnostics, doing the installation, and reporting back even when I couldn t be there in person. Everything seems great so far. Never go to a Toyota Dealer. Prius Kings came to my house and fixed my car for a very reasonable price. The diagnostic on my battery at the dealership cost $260, and Prius Kings charged a third of that for the same service. The technician was also extremely personable and nice.

Contacted the owner of the business to make an appointment for my hybrid battery to be replaced around my crazy work schedule. They had no problem scheduling a time that worked well for me with fairly short notice! The battery was replaced in under 2 hours and comes with a warranty, depending on which battery you choose. I chose 1 year warranty due to the age of my Prius. I am very happy with the cost and service I received overall. Would definitely recommend.

I am so pleased I contacted Priuskings to replace my '05 Prius battery! Not only did they replace the faltering battery at a substantially better price than I was quoted by a local dealer, they were professional, courteous, and demonstrated a level of integrity that made the entire process painless. Robert came to our house and had the new battery installed in just over an hour. The car is driving beautifully! If any other major issues crop up, I won't hesitate to contact them again.

It was a pleasure to work with Prius Kings. Aric (the owner) was very responsive and easy to get a hold of by phone and email, and he did a lot to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Bob the mechanic was also very friendly. We talked about all sorts of things while he changed the battery on my car (He's clearly been doing this for a while because he was able to multitask effortlessly). After my car started acting up a couple weeks later, Bob came down to check that it wasn't the battery (because they are serious about their warranty). It wasn't - it was my car's transmission. Priuskings was excellent and would highly recommend to anyone who needs to replace their hybrid battery. I called Aric the day my battery failed and he had Robert his technician at my house to replace the battery within 2 days.Robert was friendly and knowledgeable. He had the battery replaced and took it for a test drive within an hour.My Prius is running better than it has in years now.

I had great experience with PriusKing! I recently purchased a Prius C 2012 with over 100k miles. I was worried and really wanted to know the health of the hybrid battery. Toyota dealers couldn t help but PriusKing was able to get me an appointment next day. Tech Bob was amazing. He ran a report and then explain me everything on the report. Bob also took some time to drive around with me and gave some great tips. Thanks Bob and PriusKing! Highly recommend!

Really grateful to Priuskings for helping me get back on the road quickly after the hybrid battery began to fail in my 2007 Prius. To me it's not *just* that it was far cheaper than the dealership, but (once I got over the fact that I was leaving my car at someone's house) that this company is a really solid network of knowledgeable, trustworthy technicians. Aric was on the ball with communication and both he and the technician were flexible with my needs and timing. They also noticed the other looming repair I'd been putting off, but didn't try to sell me on it at all.So far so good with my car (it's only been 5 days) but I definitely recommend this small business to anyone with a hybrid vehicle!

Hands down the BEST experience I have ever had with anyone servicing my car. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Priuskings to anyone. Aric corresponded with me in a more than timely manner and was totally transparent with pricing and process. Robert was the icing on the cake. Friendly, informative, no doubt in my mind he is an absolute expert in HV batteries. If I could rate Priuskings 10 stars I would!

These guys are the best. I was told it would be $5k to replace my hybrid battery in my 2003 Prius back in March, by a dealer. Robert came to my home and ran a diagnostic made a quick little adjustment to the ECU and I was up and running again. Then in March when the Hybrid System light came on again, he came over and found the water pump was not fully functioning. The part was ordered and a week later I brought the car to Robert and he took care of it in just an hour. All together I have spent less than half the estimate just to replace the battery. Thank You.

I delayed reviewing so I could be sure everything worked well over time and some significant miles. It did! The service was excellent, and my car now gets better mileage than it has in the last 5 years! I have a 12 year old Prius that the battery died on. I wanted to keep the car but a new battery from the dealer cost more than the car was worth...Prius Kings provided the perfect solution for less than half what the dealer wanted. I opted to "upgrade" the battery to a newer (but still used) higher capacity version (that was still compatible) and had a 12 month warranty. Installation was smooth, Robert was very professional and on time. Best of all he did it in my driveway within a day of me calling so I didn't have to worry about the risk of driving or towing. They test all the cells in the replacement battery individually (and replace the weak ones) so you don't risk getting someone else's problem like if you bought a battery from the junkyard.

Technician was very helpful. He diagnosed any potential issues with my prius, and analyzed error codes that were prominent. He walked me through each step, and the best part was that he took time off his day as he usually doesn't schedule it on Fridays and let me schedule and appointment last minute. He also did not charge us for the diagnostic as they usually did, which really helped me out as we drove out an hour from our place. Really friendly guy, and really knowledgeable as he owns 3 Gen 2 Prius'. Really positive experience and if you are in need of help with your Prius it's definitely worth driving out extra, or having them help you schedule and appointment over the phone.

I've got a 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Hybrid battery started to fail (cells dying). This is a hard bite to chew - get rid of car (which is otherwise in good shape/running fine) or replace batter (boo koo bucks). Read lots of good reviews about Priuskings and decided to check them out. Price was right - I could justify keeping the car at least another year and save $ vs. springing for a new car which I'm not quite ready to do yet (especially during the pandemic.)Arranged the appt via email. I showed up (a few mins late) - no prob at all. BTW, this is not a car mechanic's business you are pulling up to - it's a residence driveway! (Why does it matter? It shouldn't/doesn't! He's got all the stuff he needs to replace the battery!) I was greeted with a smiling face. Tech immediately jumped in car to run diagnostics - to make sure it really was the hybrid battery that was the problem. It was (phew!) I was under the impression this would be a 2-3 hour job. He had it done in an hour! Again, super sweet guy. Very knowledgeable. He even made good recommendations for places to hang out while I wait! I highly recommend!Service: Battery

My wife and I were having trouble with our Prius outside of Boston. We were directed by Aric to Bob who works out of his home in Somerville. He was terrific! He did the diagnostic test and essentially told us it was the 12v battery. We ended up having him replace it a couple of days later (he changed his schedule for us after we needed to move the time due to weather). We haven't had any issues since. Bob was a great guy and really a pleasure to work with. Aric was nice over the phone as well. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and information from Bob and Aric at PriusKings. Bob truly went above and beyond in ensuring GENUINE service, rates and quotes were given with no BS whatsoever... he even drove our car with us before and after fixing to ensure things were all set and working correctly.The hardest part of ever getting your car assessed to fixed is avoiding the BS-ers out there who care more for the buck than actually your car working correctly.Because they only fix n work on Priuses the lads clearly know what they re doing and how to fix them fairly!Thanks guys and would highly recommend.

Their customer service is very good. They are generally very prompt with communication. Here's a tip...if you plan on getting a battery, make sure to get the more expensive lifetime warranty battery. I got the cheaper battery with the 1 year warranty and it needed to be replaced 3 times within that year.

I don t usually post reviews but this is worth it (please read):I had a spinning noise coming out of somewhere next to the grey box in front (prius), it kept getting louder and louder and no mechanic knew what it was, so I had to take to Toyota, 135$ for a diagnostic. The report came out and they told me I needed a new battery and a bunch of stuff, 8000$ in total.As I was waiting for my car I was just planning to sell it or drive it until it dies, but fortunately I met a person in the waiting area who told me about these people, I went there hopeless, and met Bob, super nice guy, ran a scan of the computer came out the same but detailed, however I didn t need a new battery it s just normal wear and tear.And he found out that the noise was coming out a pump, because I had no antifreeze (completely drained) and the pump was working with no fliud and that was it, bought the fliud for 15 dollars and circle gets the square. Honestly, don t go to Toyota, go to bob he ll fix your car up.

I was pleasantly surprised to have such an enjoyable experience while fixing my car at Prius Kings Somerville, MA location. Bob was great and very down-to-earth and since I am such a animal lover I love that he had 7 chickens in his backyard thanks for all your hard work Bob.

Bob was amazing. Everything was great from start to finish. His communication was spot on. He came exactly when he said that he would come. He fixed the car. The price was very reasonable. And he told us everything that he was doing and spent time to answer our questions and to leave us as much better educated prius owners. This was a master class in truly great customer service. Called to ask a pretty general question about my Prius and why it would not start, the guy on phone quickly asked if I was even in Massachusetts. He completely disregarded my question and immediately wanted me to pay for a technician to come take a look. Needless to say he wasn t helpful whatsoever and clearly money hungry. If I have another problem with my car this place WILL NOT be the place I take it too.

Polite and professional on the phone. I was a little apprehensive when I pulled up at an address that was residential, but Robert impressed me with his experience and knowledge. He did a prompt, complete and professional installation and a thorough test drive afterward, including warning code checks before and after the installation.

I had replaced my hybrid battery pack for my Camry with these guys. I had experienced a good customer service and Robert had quickly responded to me whenever I called him and asked for some queries related to my vehicle after the battery pack was replaced.
