I really hope they bounce back from the temporary down they face with the loss of one of their mechanics. Their prices and customized friendly services can t be beat anywhere. Such a friendly cost-efficient place, I ll surely be back for my next car service.

I brought my car in because my dad (who is not an expert but just a dad) thought there an axle was rusted through (a $600 repair!). They kept my car overnight and did all the tests on the planet and determined that there was absolutely nothing wrong, and they explained everything they checked, everything they found, why they think it's fine, and what they think my dad saw. It's fantastic that they explained it all in a way I could understand (I asked a lot of "I don't know anything about cars" questions). And they are giving me the car back with no charge because they didn't have to do any fix. I would absolutely come back anytime.

On my way to work, I hit a pretty decent sized nail. I normally have a shop I go to that I trust with my vehicle but they were busy and I needed to get to work. Gave Arco s Tire & Service a call and they told me to bring it on in.Was greeted by a friendly mechanic who inspected the tire and gave me a rough time estimate. He told me to stick around the area so I went for coffee and came back 10 minutes later, done. Explained the repair and had me back on the road and off to work. $30 bucks and I couldn t be happier.Would definitely recommend this shop and I will be going back for any future repair needs!Many thanks!-Ben

$120 for an oil change. And he stole my change purse and a $2 origami I had. That's what I get for leaving my car with a grubby old man.

This was the worst customer experience ever. I only needed two front tires replaced from old to new rims , provided the tires and provided the rims. The guy told me to come at 7:30 am ( not to be late if I want to have it done that day) , I showed up at 7:30 am on the dot, and he made me wait 15 min till he finished his tea, than I walked in to ask if i can leave the car in the garage , he basically ignored me for 10 min ( I should have left than)...Finally tells me to pull in the car and to come back in 45 min.I came back and he charged me arm and leg- $145 for putting on and balancing two tires!!!! Every other place on average $60-90!The guy is unprofessional, rude and argent and very very overpriced!

Great prices / service. Came to get tires swapped and the mechanics discovered an issue with the rotors. Got that fixed and they even waived the fee for the tire swap. Price quoted on the phone was the exact amount charged, no surprises

Two and a half weeks ago I went to get my tire replaced. Upon further inspection by a Jeep dealership, they did not replace my tire and charged me nearly $400. They have not answered my calls since the incident. Complete scammer DO NOT go here!Service: TiresService: Tires

Awesome first visit. Replaced my two rear tires because of a bad tire valve stem. The mechanic was super, the tires he had on hand were high quality, and all together it was a good price. Fit me in without an appointment too! Will definitely be back next time the car needs maintenance

I came in with no appointment and with a screw stuck in one of my tires, causing air leaks. My tire was patched in less than 10 minutes and I was out the door! Very affordable, $30.Service: TiresService: Tires

Great service, no rip-offs, fully trust this place with any car fixes. I've been going to Arco since I moved to Somerville 4 years ago, and they are always professional, no nonsense, and get the job done. I've looked up cost comparisons of several of the jobs I've had done, and they offer a fair price every time. I've brought my car here for tire replacements, brake fixes, air pressure issues, and they've never let me down. Cannot recommend them more!

Went in to fix a punctured tire. Was able to fix an appointment for an hour ahead (at noon). The whole process of fixing the tire and changing it took only around 15 minutes. He made sure my Tire pressure was accurate after putting it back. Affordable too. The whole process cost around 23$. The service was great!

Just an honest neighborhood mechanic. No frills, no fancy waiting room. They do what you ask them to take care of and don't try to upsell you on anything more. Last week, I brought my Subaru in for a tricky check engine light. Carlos replaced a part, but the light came back on the next day. When I brought the car back, he put in a different part, return the first part, and called it a wash without charging me more.

The owner is hard working and honest. The place may not be fancy, but their attention to detail and client oriented service went far beyond my expectations. Many other tire places around this area only want more business and charges you for unnecessary service, or even charges you for services they didn t perform. Acro Tire does extra to make sure the car works good in the future. They are detail oriented and never up-sells. They deserve solid 5 stars.

Great service, highly recommended.My check tire light came on after shortly getting my tire replaced at another shop. I had to drive across the state about 4 hours after I discovered it. I show up, no wait, he checks my tires for a leak, fixes the pressure and I'm on my way. Took about 5 minutes (usually I have to at least wait for the cars in front of me), and when I offered to pay or at least give a tip he said he didn't do enough work to deserve one.Will def go back next time I have car troubles.

These guys were really great and professional. They fixed an issue that other nearby shops couldn't identify, and their price was very reasonable for the work needed. I was able to get in without needing an appointment, and they got to my car very quickly. Will definitely be going back.

A few months ago I got a hole in my tire and got it plugged elsewhere. When it started leaking I brought it to Arco to have them take a look at it.The guys in the shop were friendly, and I got fast service to get the tire re-plugged. He said the plug that was put in the tire originally was a bit small for the hole. He even put the tire back on the car for me free of charge, where the shop I was at before wanted $45 to do the same.I will definitely be coming back here for the honest, fast and friendly service.

I had a starter problem with my wife's Honda Odyssey. I called Arco Tire and Gary was exceptional. He told me to have a van towed to the garage and after one hour he called me and told me the problem was with the starter. He had the van fixed and were very pleased with the great service we received. Gary keep me informed and his service were excellent.Gary, thank you. I am glad that I have a new mechanic for our family cars. You are honest and have very reasonable prices.

I had very quick & efficient service to remount a tire that had a slow but persistent leak. Turns out it was a buildup of New England winter crud around the rim. These guys work hard and charge a very fair price. They also replaced a damaged tire for me last year that has been holding up well. Glad to support this business!

The owner is a great guy. Has a no-nonsense attitude (perfect New Englander) and gets the work done. Have had a few vehicles aligned there, and have also had some tires swapped.. He is always on point with repairs.

I really appreciate having Arco Tire so close by! I trust the work, and even when there was an issue after a repair, I brought it back, things were fixed, and they never charged me for the work that they did the second time around, even though the issue may have been on my end.The first time I visited, I wasn't sure how expensive things would be/what the quality would be like, but was reassured when I saw several other women in the waiting room, and all spoke about how they only come to Arco, and how one still came back to Arco even after moving away from the area, because they trust the service so much.If you're new to the area and looking for a local shop to trust to give you honest work and not have to worry about price shopping, I would recommend checking out Arco!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

These guys are wonderful. They are honest and straightforward and their prices are affordable. They looked up the price of the part I needed and quoted me a price for the repair - all for free, no diagnostic cost. They told me the part would be expensive to order, so I bought it online by myself at a cheaper price and they installed it for just the cost of labor.I also brought my previous car here and they were very fair and helped me out a lot. I definitely recommend this place.

I had a flat tire with a broken air valve and a potential flat elsewhere. I called early in the morning and the mechanic on the phone helped me set up a time for when they opened. I accidentally came in early and they saw me 30 minutes before opening anyway.The service was very quick and very professional. The store looks a little rundown but the quality and speed of service was excellent. He ended up not needing to replace the tire and staving me a lot of money that I was expecting to have to spend. Iwould highly recommend this mechanic and will be returning for future car needs.

These guys are great.I can always make an appointment quickly, often the same dayThey they consistently give me the best price, and I have shopped around.They include balance and alignment when you buy tires. Other charge $90+ for this.They are straight shooters, no bullshit.

My son's car's brake light was on and he could sense something was seriously wrong. Found Carlos and Arco on the internet and he was able to determine that the brake line had deteriorated and he replaced them and the pads and the rotors and did so at a more than reasonable price! Shredded my tire on a curb and needed a new one. My tire size is a little out of the ordinary. Got it ordered, delivered and installed within 24 hours. And for a fair price, too. Cannot recommend Arco enough.

Probably the most honest mechanic in the greater Boston area. Unless it is small, regular maintenance like an oil change, he doesn't like to quote you price until after he has had his hands inside the engine. He will ball-park it for you though. He handles jobs big and small, and does them quickly and at good prices. It is a good idea to call ahead though.
