If I could give this place a 100 stars , I would. Not only is gas prices competitive, it's full service, with a smile. They have been on Boston Street for many years and family owned. Hours are convenient. 7am to 7pm, mon-fri. Had quite of few services worked on here and never had a problem. Bob and his brother are very appreciative & honest. If it's not broke, do not fix it! But had my brakes done, the lines, pads, and calipers and was the cost of what good year& midas/ meinekee wanted. And Bob always tells you how much it will cost you for the service before u drop it off. And you never have to wait long for service at Town Line. Support local family business at this garage and put the companies trying to rip u off and take your money out. They maintenance/ repair everything but no stickers or alignments, but tires and exhaust service is very reasonable price. When you see how busy they are, then you know it is a great place to have your car serviced here. They made my 04 chevy blazer running like new.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Tires, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance

Got a flat while I was on the road in my work car, these guys were super nice and convenient. They met me and put on the donut, I was able to follow them to the shop where they had a tire waiting and we re able to switch it out quickly. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Mechanics. They're honest, trustworthy and, truly care about the customer. Their hours of operation are incredible for anyone who works throughout the week. Their prices are very reasonable and everything will be done when they tell you it will. Bob is incredible and he treats you as if you're his only customer, even as you look at the wall lined with keys from other customers who feel the same way. I'm very happy that I gave Town Line Service a try, as it's made my life that much easier. Highly Recommended.

My car is an extremely beat up and old vehicle. I brought the vehicle to him trusting that he would take care of me and my trust was misplaced. My family has vouched for him so I thought I was good but I guess not. The car was having problems and I told him to inspect the car let me know what the problems are and if we would decide to fix them or not. If the problems were major I would have junked or sold the vehicle. He took this as I am not going to make you aware of any problems except for minor ones and I'm gonna do a bunch of repairs without making you aware. On top of that he had the vehicle for nearly two months and almost never returned any phone calls even when voicemails were left. Long story short he charges me $1600 to repair the vehicle. The vehicle is barley worth more than $1600 itself. Extremely Unprofessional I am completely and utterly disappointed with the service however the repairs that done were done right and the car runs much better. Most likely will not be returning to this establishment.

Family-owned . I've been going there since I was 14. I'm 57. The shop has honesty and integrity. Friendly atmosphere. They will try to help you out help you out. Probably the only service station I ever had so much trust in. It's been there at least since 1975. If you're having a car problem talk to Bob and Jimmy and their 94 year mother. He'll give you excellent service, that you can trust.

Been going here since 1986. Bobby and his team are the rarest of finds...honest mechanics. Reasonable rates, superb service and just run by a very honorable man. If you need your car fixed...go see Bobby. And tell him I sent ya.

We got there and talked to Bob and his Mom (90+)about our respective immigrant families and how important it is to teach future generations the values of hard work, honesty and financial responsibility. We also made some conversation on about Bob's mom and how she was the middle child of 13 kins and how she raised her family through Lynn's toughest moments ....Ah...I forgot to mention...he does an amazing job with cars, fixed my wheel bearing during the holidays at a very reasonable price !

Nicest auto repair experience I ve ever had. My gf and I were in town on vacation when she had an issue with her vehicle. They were able to take a look and help us on very short notice and accommodated to our circumstance. I highly recommend. Wonderful people!

The lady at the desk was very friendly. The problem i had here, however, was the mechanic. He s a crook. Needed to have a rusted and snapped bolt extracted from my license plate holder. Guy looked at me and said it ll cost $40 . For something that should only take 3 minutes and a power drill? Haha. Never going back here, that s for sure.

SCAM ARTISTS!!! they are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced on all repairs. They clearly add markup to their parts to prey on the uninformed. A simple google after reciving my bill yesterday made me realize this. Not only that but they will never pick the phone up when you call them, but they take FOREVER to repair your automobile. Even if it's just an oil change expect to be careless for at least 4 hours.I have friends in the automotive industry for 20+ years. The only reason I didn't go to him was because he was out of state and I had a problem I needed sorted post haste and got this reccomendation. NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT GO HERE! THEY WILL SUCK YOU DRYER THAN A BANGKOK PROSTITUE!!!!

One can only hope that as technology progresses, and we are more and more driving wedges between us as beings, that a business like Town Line Service on the Lynn/Saugus border will survive and thrive. It is already a rarity in today's already too cold world.Bob and Jim aren't just mechanics, they're a family (so much so that their mom runs the front of the house, checking people in, helping them square up their bill, etc.!). It was fitting that when my mom found Town Line Service, and started bringing her car there for maintenance and repair, that I did as well when I started driving.I knew we had found a special place the first time I took my car in for a check up. But first, a story:1989. Me and my Nana were in her 1986 Chevy Malibu. We heard a clunking sound. We pulled over into the Shell Station on route 1 south in Peabody, across the highway from Bickfords Pancake House. Because my nana was old, and didn't know cars, they took advantage of her, selling her all kinds of extras, like a battery (new battery for a clunking noise?!), tail lights, headlights, fuel filter, air filter, brake fluid, transmission fluid-and no, nana hadn't asked for a tune up! But they "tuned" her up to the song of 500. dollars (a lot of money TODAY, never mind 1989!!), and away we drove, as they smiled and waved us goodbye-only to have the clunking noise resume the second we pulled back onto the highway. My sweet nana eventually (for even more money) got the car fixed. So with that experience in mind, in 1992 I took my car to Town Line Service under my mom's recommendation, despite being nervous to end up like my poor nana- taken advantage of unaware.Needlesss to say, Bob and Jim weren't about the type of scumbaggery that powered the Peabody Shell Station. What I got after my check up was an itemized list of what the car needed, in order of importance of what should be addressed and repaired first, and a baseline estimate of what said repairs would cost me. I never went anywhere but Town Line after that.Neither did my mom-till this last July, she took herself off the road, but not before taking her car in for a last round of repairs before giving her car to me, because "I don't want it to just sit there, you can use it for your boys." She took it, of course, to Town Line Service. When I picked the car up, Bob and Jim said "thank you, and thank your mother for us." I said "no Bob and Jim, thank YOU... For taking care of US first, and then our cars since 1992." I only hope that when my boys are old enough to drive, a garage like Town Line Service will exist for them as it did for me and my mom-complete with a Bob and Jim running the show.Town Line Service. So shines a bright garage in a weary, cold world. You can get your car repaired anywhere-regulations, advancing technology and training ensure that. But if you want that something extra, something more than "repairs are done, sign on the dotted line, here are your keys", go see Bob, Jim (and say hi to Mom!) at Town Line Service.

Exceptional experience. In brief, I had my car diagnosed elsewhere with a hefty price tag, brought it to Town Line where it was decided that only a fraction of that work needed to be done and car is running quite well.
