Craig and CK Bikes is one of a kind. My son started mountain biking this fall at school. The rough riding necessitated some fixes. Craig was a responsive and thorough mechanic every time we stopped in. Also, he gave my son a lot of useful riding tips. Craig and CK Bikes is the go-to bike shop for my entire family. I would very highly recommend to all levels and types of bikers.

I recently finished the Park Tool 80 hour certification program in bike mechanics provided byCK Bikes in Littleton Mass. This was a terrific experience and I m so happy I did it. The level of instruction was absolute super as it was provided by Craig Kilmer, the shop s owner and lead instructor. Craig is uniquely qualified for this role as he was a machinists, became an engineer, and is a trained bike mechanic. He has worked in the bike repair business for over twelve years. Craig keeps the shop supportive and geared to developing the students skills, knowledge, and abilities. During the course you receive a comprehensive overview of the world of bike repair as the shop focuses on repairs rather than sales. All the common shop procedures are covered as well as somemore advanced ones as well. You will become familiar with all the tools and tricks of the trade and develop confidence in your ability. I highly recommend this course at C K Bikes. You will learn a bunch and have fun doing so. If you take the course you ll feel as I do very grateful for the wonderful opportunity!

I cannot thank Craig enough: I was on a borrowed bike today (classic 30 December ride) and got to Harvard only to realize that the electronic shifter was no longer working. I granny geared back over oak Hill and arrived at CK bikes tired and desperate. Craig was a mensch in the truest sense of the word: while he told me that he wasn't selling any replacement batteries, he took the battery off his own bike and gave it to me. What's more, he trouble-shot the situation and swapped the coin battery in the shifter. He offered me free water, and charged me $5 for the entire thing. Craig - thank you. Bike Shop of the Year Award to you - I so appreciate it.

Went in for some quick maintenance on my bike. The owner did the work in real time and explained to me what was going on. Love to see local businesses with great service! Thanks, Craig!

Craig was accommodating, thoughtful, and educational! He made me feel comfortable buying a bike seat that fit my body right, and expressing any concerns or discomfort I was having as a female cyclist. He was patient and understanding while we made minor adjustments to the seat.He also installed a bike rack for me. Craig didn't charge for the labor or attention ( I was there for over an hour!), he charged me for the parts. I was so impressed that he didn't try to upsell me or take advantage of my lack of experience. 5+ Stars - excellent experience! If I could write a second review, I would! Every time we come into the shop we are treated respectfully and helped completely.

Big thanks to the team at CK Bikes! On Day One of the PMC, I snapped my rear derailleur cable in the first 30 miles of a Century ride. We field fixed it so that I had 2 speed bike to complete the ride. After the ride, the team at CK Bikes took my bike right away and replaced the cable and adjusting the shift.Having a working bike for Sunday s Day 2 PMC Wellesley Century was critical to me and CK Bikes made it happen!Thank you!

Amazing experience!! We lost a bike off our camper in the way up from North Carolina to Maine. We called the bike shop and they stayed open late for us to get there. They were more than fair on the cost of repair. They had us in our way in a day.

I was referred to CK Bikes by a bike enthusiast and now I understand why. They customized the bike I got, taught me how to identify the proper size, seat and accessories. I had no idea I had essentially been riding improper bikes my whole life until today and was so comfy in the one he helped me pick! It's cute, safe and unique! He even test rode it to make sure it was safe and smooth! A real hero!I feel super welcome and comfortable going back for any adjustments, fixes, questions and accessories. It is obvious they know what they're doing and their shop has tons of parts. He also taught me the proper way to put a bike rack on! Amazing! 10/10. Above and beyond.

I don't know how to start to describe my appreciation of CK Bikes. Every time when I pass it by, there are bottles of water on the table for those in need. This is especially helpful in the summer time. I refueled there myself and saw others doing it too.A few weeks ago, when my friend's bike made some weird noise, we were all puzzled and could not figure out why. When we passed by CK Bikes, we decided to give a try to see if something could be done. To our surprise, he fixed my friend's bike in about 5 minutes. The atmosphere in the bike shop is quite good. Beside his amazing skills, I was very impressed with his love of bikes and his shop. His sense of humor also is something to remember. Thank you for your service!

My go to bike shop for everything including sales ,repairs and upgrading my cassette and deruiler for my Mt Washington auto road climb! Craig ( owner) has gotten me out of 3 different bad spots and not only picked me up off the road but fixed my bike on the spot. I cant thank him enough. He is knowledge and super helpful. No pressure cool vibe here without the attitude. Other bike shops should take notice. Keep up the good work CK bikes!

Highly recommended! Craig and his team provide quality repairs at reasonable prices.I ve had a few bikes repaired here and I ve been very impressed with the whole experience. When dropping off my bikes for repairs, Craig never tried to upsell me on anything. He provided various options and explained the costs of each. The bikes were always ready on time and at the expected cost. He even turned my son s old mountain bike into an (almost) new bike! Great shop, great service.

CK Bikes is what you want in a hometown bike shop - well executed service with a friendly touch - and it's been great to see the shop develop from a basement joint to a dedicated shop with full service and a growing team. I've gotten annual tune ups and significant component overhauls on multiple bikes and am always pleased with the service quality. Whenever I ride by, I know there's a friendly spot with a tune-up station, water, and any essentials I may have forgotten.

Great bike shop!! They saved me in my hour of need. I was dumb enough to over torque my seat post clamp during a ride and striped threads. I walked in, they had the parts and I was on my way in 15 minutes. Also the bike mechanic is very nice and knowledgeable.

Took the beginner wrench course with Craig. Highly recommend getting to know your bike, especially how to change a flat!! Craig was very patient, taught a see and do hands on class. Craig is very safety conscious about biking and will show you some tricks to saving money on repairs. Take the course over the winter and your ready to get on your bike and ride in the spring!!

Great shop with a fantastic owner. We stopped in today to look for a bike for my husband - the owner educated him about different bike models and adjusted seat/filled tires of any bike he wanted to try. He test rode a few. We didn't purchase anything for him due to needing to find the right size, but will be coming back for a tune-up for my bike.

Iv been to ck bikes a few times for simple things like a tune up and have always had a positive experience. Today they really lived up to what a local bike experience should be. I went in to get some play checked out in my rear wheel. Craig spent hours with me trying to diagnose the issue while teaching me along the way. We had to eventually replace the entire wheel but he didn t kill me on the price and the money I spent was well worth it due to the knowledge I gained. He even threw me a spare tube. Cannot recommend this place enough! Real people with a determination to get you back on the trails asap!

Thanks to Craig with his patience and expertise on fitting my bike perfectly to my needs; I am back riding again. Within a few days Craig changed out parts of my bike and gave it new life. Now it handles better than ever! The shop is really cool to visit. It has a lot of character, along with its owner!

Craig and CK bikes got me back on the road quickly and with high quality work! He helped me out in a pinch and then repaired my road bike so it rides smoothly, efficiently, and quietly. I'm so grateful I found a bike mechanic who is knowledgeable, understands riders want to be out riding, and is a nice/honest person!

20 min of work didn't charge a dime and let me do hands on work as I need the knowledge to do it on my own at home. This was a pleasant experience. I will be a regular customer.

I took the 40 hour bike mechanic course at CK Bikes over the winter and I highly recommend it.* Flexible hours. There isn't a strict schedule, you get to choose the hours and days to come in, as long as the shop is open.* Flexible agenda. You will cover all the topics mentioned at the website, but you can keep going over certain topics to help ingrain the knowledge.* Autonomy. You're shown what to do and then get to practice on your own. You can ask questions or ask for help if you get stuck, but you're given time to experiment and get a good sense for what you're doing.* Nice atmosphere. The shop is an enjoyable place to spend time learning and practicing. The course ends with a certificate, a sense of accomplishment, and some extra perks. Again, I'd recommend this to anyone who's interested in learning about bike mechanics.
