Like another reviewer said, Kevin is absolutely salt-of-the-Earth. He's a great and honest operator with a long track record in the industry. He helped me with diagnosis and repair in a pinch for a fair price, and gave me a complete picture of my car's health. I strongly recommend Budget Auto if you're in the valley and need some work done.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

After some revision I have decided to change my review with Budget Auto. I perhaps reacted to what I initially perceived as an unfair bill, however, after reasonable negotiations I can say that this business operates fairly, although I would still suggest anyone getting auto work done get a estimate in writing so there is no confusion on anyone's part. Apparently, in this case, the confusion was mineThanks Budget, for treating my lady with respect.

Ok I will say this I had head gasket done on my old Pontiac at first Kevin seemed knowledgeable brought my car in November of 2012 did not get back until may of 2013 so many trips back and forth car was totally screwed up when I finally got it back it was not close to being right 3 more times back at his shop thank God for AAA and I was done and definitely not what I called budget he definitely was not cheap I would never use this place again even his own mechanics disliked him. By the way he likes to erase bad reviews but trust me I'm a legitimate personService: Engine repair

Absolutely salt of the earth guys. I m a woman and disabled, and I try to take good care of my car. This was the first time I used them, I will be giving them my business in the future. I had another personal mechanic who is good for other stuff but I needed electrical diagnostics and other repairs, and had to blindly find another place to address a problem after trying everything else to fix it myself, no success. Found Budget on Craigslist. I try to stay automotively informed and Kevin was on the same page with me, everything he addressed in phone calls, I knew about previously. The price was unbeatable and It s nice to be appreciated and looked after as a customer! I plan to keep a working relationship with this garage. I m obsessed with my 03 Subaru wagon it s got a swapped out engine and transmission with low miles. I could not buy this car on the market right now. A lot of people don t understand private mechanics and that their garages are going to be dirty and have stuff everywhere, they spend more time working on cars than trying to keep the place pretty. Personally I would not trust a pretty garage. These are car people. Not a drive through rip off corporate garage. Kevin is the absolute best. I brought my vehicle to him because it needed new shocks/struts and also because it failed inspection due to a small emissions leak. He was quick with the repairs and his prices were unbeatable. When it turned out that the emissions leak was still not fixed (not his fault - small emissions leaks like the one I had can be near impossible to find and repair) Kevin made it his priority to solve the issue for me. He went above and beyond all expectations to find and fix the leak, spending many, many hours on my vehicle. He did not charge me labor for any of the repairs after the initial repair due to his very generous warrantee policy on repairs. He is honest about what repairs are needed, and when there is a less expensive option he would always offer that instead of recommending expensive parts replacements. He also gave me rides to/from my vehicle when needed. If I have a small issue with my car that is a quick fix he has often allowed me to swing by at a moments notice for minor services like helping me put refrigerant in my ac at no charge. I would highly recommend Budget Auto Repair if you are looking for an honest skilled mechanic! We had a check engine light on our Honda and the team a Budget repair didn t stop looking for what was causing it until they got it fully repaired. They are super nice and we are grateful for their willingness to stay on it till it was fixed. Thank you guys Merry Christmas to you and your families.

My sister and I always go to Kevin at Budget Auto Repair with our car needs! He's reliable and his pricing is very reasonable. I can always trust him to return my car within a timely manner and he's even come to pick me up when my car was ready. I would recommend to anyone in the area!

I live in NJ and my daughter goes to college in Massachusetts. I found Budget while visiting my daughter and needing to find a good local mechanic I could trust from three states away to keep my daughter's car up and running.I have not been disappointed, Budget has worked with me (from 3 States away) and kept my daughter's car in running condition. The owner has always worked to get the best prices and do the job as quickly as possible making sure my daughter could get back and forth to college and work.I highly recommend Budget to anyone seeking a good honest mechanic.

I've gone to budget auto repair a few times and each time Kevin has been very helpful and honest. He is straightforward, and incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking my car to him anytime you have questions/problems with your car.

I had a headache on my hands when my car stalled out on the highway. It was clear from the dash indicators that there was a major problem. I wasn't familiar with garages in that area; I went to Budget Auto Repair simply because they were the closest. As a woman, I tend to dread garages because sometimes the attitudes can be condescending or dismissive. These guys were incredibly thoughtful, direct and kind. The owner went the extra mile with diagnostics and did some research to see if there was a safety recall related to the problem with the vehicle. There was! I learned that Ford would cover the costs providing I would get the car to a Ford dealership. This meant Budget Auto would not receive my business for this recall repair, yet they went out of their way to talk me through next steps and did not charge me for the diagnostics or extensive time on the phone. The owner was knowledgeable and clearly an all-around good person. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to garage!

This place is an absolute joke. After my jeeps engine needed to be replaced from a bad oil change it was taken here. We waited two months while Kevin was working on it. We called him multiple times mostly getting no response and when he did answer was very rude. We just recently had it towed to another auto shop where they told us it was still in terrible condition. This was suppose to take a week or two tops and even after all that time it was still not driveable. This guy is a liar and a con artist and this business should be shut down immediately.

Ad on website says free towing if job is over $150. Quoted an $1,800 job and when asked to have it towed, Kevin's response was: My tow truck is not in great shape, it really shouldn't travel more than 5 miles away.... Red Flag #1.Stay away from this Unprofessional business!!!This guy Kevin will call and harass you every day to get you to bring the car in and once he gets the car he ignores all of your phone calls.... Red flag #2Before getting the car towed there, as to not damage anything else by risking the short drive...I asked how long it would take to complete the job, he said the car would take a week to fix max and here it is a week and a half later and he hasn't even looked at the car. He told us to try to get financing through iCare and said we should ask for more than we needed so he could get extra money "just in case we need more things done".... Another Red Flag!!!Picking up my car ASAP iCare is probably Also a scam. After the amount of time he made us wait, we would rather pay someone to fix the car and pay in full within a timely manner. Low and behold, we see a google review from someone who faced the same issues... holding someone's car for 3 months?!?! I wonder how many weeks she was told to wait which turned out to be 3 months. This business seems to be a fraud.The Good reviews are probably for oil changes and brake pads...Ridiculous service! He had trouble figuring out how to attach a file to an email.... Red Flag?!?!I'd rather pay someone a higher rate to get better Service! We had a bad feeling about this shop, listen to your intuitions!!Thought this guy seemed nice enough and figured he was a struggling small shop. I tend to root for the underdog but definitely not the service we were expecting.

To say the least don't waste your time. He is very judgmental likes to stereotype people basically told me that my people doesn't like to work and that we're entitled. Definitely needs a training and customer service and the place itself needs a deep cleaning. He swears he knows the law but obviously he doesn't in once I pointed out that to him he was furious. It's sad that 2022 we still have to deal with people that are ignorant and judgmental. But people like him you give them kindness back and they don't like it. I hope that someday he realized that being hurtful to people is only hurting him.

I can not thank Kevin and his crew enough for fixing my car in such a decent amount of time! He kept me in the loop with what he was doing, and made me feel like I was apart of everything! The prices are great too!

I've had repeated issues with another company's product and when that company tried to get one over on me Kevin (the owner) and all of the employees at budget auto went to bat for me. They spent hrs on customer service when they knew they were losing money just to help me out. Cant say enough good things about budget auto!

just a fair warning this guy is a fraud and sold me a dangerous car. He hid things that the first inspection didn t catch because he spray painted over things. Second inspection said I m lucky I didn t get in a horrible accident and the car has to be junked only after a year of owning DON NOT trust Kevin, you have been warned.

Best mechanic in the valley. When he couldn't find a computer part used he made it himself instead of ordering one new that would be out of our budget. He researched recall information online for us and provided us with directions on how to apply. He is a former UMAss auto mechanics professor - Kevin knows his stuff

Terrible service. The customer service here is awful. I d be surprised if anybody goes to this shop more than once after interacting with the workers. In addition, the service work I received on my car was also awful. The job that I needed done was easy, but Budget Auto Repair overcharged me for a less than mediocre job they had done. I am not satisfied and I will NOT be referring them to anybody I care about.

Really bad customer service tried to take advantage of me on price of job and then when I refused the service he charged me storage fees then called me a freeloader and a comment of you people don't like to work but I've been working my whole life lol anyways I couldn't overcome his ignorance so I gave up and walked away and learned my lesson well nothing's going to be a budget from a place called Budget Auto

I needed some advanced work done and was recommended this location by my regular mechanic. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced and was able to find and fix my problem right away.

Recently went to get my breaks fixed and to get an oil change. Also had them check the switch to roll my window up and down on my left door, because it wasnt working thst was fixed as well!

This Guy scammed my friend...he was supposed to fix the problem with my friends car but instead let it sit for days and didnt even touch it I looked and checked to see if my friends keep was worked on and nothing had been touched in the car also.....he says some of the people on here aren't customers in his system but if you look at the records he has hes made fake profiles to make his company look better but the truth is hes a dirtbag robbing people
