Was in the area for work and came out to a flat tire. 90 minutes from home and no other tire places open on a Saturday other than Meineke. They literally saved my day! They were very helpful, friendly and took care of me right away! Correction... one other place was open but didn't have my tire in stock. I'm just so grateful that they were open and fully stocked. Thank you guys, much appreciated!

Great place to get an oil change they also gave it the l ce over an found a critter had been living in a filter an replaced it. I added windshield wipers to the job an the price was still less than I anticipated. The manager was excellent easy going an made the experience one that I'll pass on when I recommend Meineke Car Care Center to friends an family.Service: General repairs & maintenance

100% Satisfied. I took my vehicle in for a Synthetic Oil Change and Tire Rotation. Ron assisted me over the phone when I called to make the appt. He was also at the shop when we arrived. He was very nice and helpful. The technician as well. I must say they are pricey. I also got tire rotation and that by itself was $40. Call and ask for price on the specific service you are looking for before heading there.

I honestly can't recommend Meineke in good conscience. On two separate occasions with two separate cars, we just needed an oil change, and we ended up with broken components.I came to this shop to change oil and headlight replacement, I went back home and discovered they broke the hood prob clip (See attached pictures please), I returned back to them and met with the owner, he immediately said it was broken before you came here, and even he didn't check with the mechanic who did the service, I asked him to ask the mechanic, he said he is not here today!! Give me your information and I will call you tomorrow, but he didn't call, I came back again to the shop, I didn t find the owner, the front office told me again the mechanic who did the service is not here!! He asked me again to come back tomorrow to check again, I came back again; they refused to take responsibility for simple thing (hood prob clip for couple dollars!), this is the second incident, the first one happened last year when I went to change oil, then they told me I have damaged oil pan plug, and I have to pay $550 to replace the oil pan, they suppose to check it before they took off the oil plug, if they notice a leak then they should tell me that, then I will decide if I want to fix it or go home, he said you have to get the pan replaced here or to tow your car (which is a common scam, most repair shops do that),I asked the owner to change oil and I will take care of that, he refused he said they don t want to be sued if something later happened, I told him I will sign a paper taking responsibility and I will not sue you if something happened later, he refused again, and I didn t have a choice than get it repaired here!I will never go to this location or another Meineke again.I will place a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.Services: Electrical repair, Oil change

Pleasantly surprised! Very efficient operation. The technicians answered all my questions regarding differences and benefits of different oil changes. I was in and out and liked the fact that I was able to observe from the waiting room while techs worked on my car.I highly recommend Meineke for car service.A satisfied Rockport Resident!

Honestly I tried two other local tire shops and both said they couldn t help me for a week. So I called Meineke, the gentleman that answered was so helpful and said come on in, I was in and out in 30 minutes. I had a nail in my tire, they were busy but they took care of me and were very friendly. We are new to the area and I will definitely use them in the future. Thanks Meineke Car Care of Gloucester for being available to help, I appreciate your service!

Stopped in today because my front wheel started making an unhealthy noise. Dude drove it around the block and a couple minutes later came back in and said "you're all set." There was debris stuck in there somewhere that he was able pop out with a pry bar or something. Didn't charge me anything, which was very nice. We'll be back for a routine brake job later this spring.

The oil change was fine. But your website says free tire rotation with any oil change package. I was charged $25.00 for tire rotation. It may be worth $25.00, but if you advertise free, it should be free.

I can only tell you, and I think I left a review once before but The service here is excellent, and the gentleman that runs the place and please forgive me if I ve got the wrong name, but I think it is Ron He is very honest upfront and really gives the customer an option to accept his recommendations or not and that simply does not happen in many places! The reason I mention this is because he has never steered me in the wrong direction, even if it is being for the simplest thing on my car, and I absolutely gratefully appreciate it More than that, again I am relatively new to Gloucester and while I was cruising around town, shall we say I asked business owners that I dealt with do you have a place to recommend for going for an oil change because that was the first thing I needed, and every single one of them said yes Meinicke!!!

Made appt 5 days in advance. Car was dropped off the night before. Only had 4 snows put on car- took until 3pm that day to get car back. What was the point of making appt. Now nearly $50 a wheel to mount and balance yikes!

Suv was dead on Monday just after the storm, had it towed at 4:45 to meineke, got a call Wed afternoon it was up and running, needed a new starter. Quick and good service .

Yesterday was my first experience with a Meineke shop. Days prior, I d had to change the appointment several times, and they were very patient about that. Turns out I needed a new catalytic converter, installed in half a day. Ron kindly drove me home and picked me up again when it was done. My very noisy car was made quiet again. Very satisfied with my Meineke experience.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

Honestly terrible they didn t tighten my lug nuts all the way after the tire change and my tps sensor will not shut off after so im assuming they broke that while changing the tire would avoid coming here and as told by other residents to avoid this location specifically. Im mad about my experience and would absolutely recommend anyone reading this go to a real. these guys arw the equivalent to a techinal high schoolService: Tires

Everything about my experience was horrid & terrible. The owner acted as if he couldn't be bothered to help anyone. His attitude screamed of a man who hates his life.When I mentioned I had an appointment he reluctantly took my information, coupon, and keys. Yet he barely listened & told he even though I had an appointment he wasn't sure he would be able to do all I had requested when I made my appointment (oil change & check on broken headlight).I ended up having to call back to determine that my vehicle was done & ready (a consistent problem with this shop). When I got there they were not only unable to determine the issue but they stopped looking and charged me for the incomplete repair.I will never go to this location or another Meineke again. I'm also working with my bank to refuse the charges.Update: After reading other terrible reviews I've also placed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They are investigating this business to further downgrade their already poor rating. Avoid this place like cancer.Services: Electrical, Oil change

I took my truck in for muffler and suspension work due to a failed state inspection. I was told by the inspection station the ball joints needed doing. Meineke replaced the muffler at a reasonable charge and insisted the ball joints were fine but I needed new front wheel hubs. They quoted me $1100 for wheel hubs and insisted on using OEM hubs for a 12 year old truck at twice the price for after market ones ($430 each) which seemed unnecessary. I did the wheel hubs anyway out of convenience and asked them again about the ball joints which they insisted were fine twice.I then took the car back to get re-inspected. Once again they told me failed as it needed new ball joints. Took it back to Meineke who quoted me $1400 for ball joints on top of the $1100 I had already spent on wheel hubs. Who knows if the wheel hubs were bad in the first place? I doubt it. They offered no deal on the ball joints claiming the manger was on vacation and that was the price. I took the car to my local mechanic who confirmed the ball joints needed doing but did them for $500 cheaper than Meineke quoted. It then passed inspection.I emailed the manager on this a week ago and heard nothing back. So, I won't go there again. All I was expecting was a reasonable price on the ball joints and perhaps a credit on the hub work which I don't think was necessary. Other replies from the owner indicate that folks can call the shop. I've emailed and not heard back. They have my number. Also their labor rates are astronomically high for a "local" shop, almost 40% hirer than other shops charge and approaching dealer rates.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair

Guy thought my front wheel was a donut when in fact it wasn't, the hub cap fell off, I took the hub cap off the back tire and front drivers side tire to show him it was the same the rims just look different on some Rav4 models, after that I declined to have my services done there I didn't think the technicians are capable after that conversation.

Brought my car in for an oil change and new wiper blades and to check my brakes as they were making the grinding and rubbing sound. I was told on pick up there was nothing wrong with brakes. But I was told the alternator belt has a few spider cracks in in but its NOT an emergency. I asked if it should be changed because of the long trip and Im told no, it can wait til the next oil change,,,, I left and headed home and heard and felt the same rubbing and grinding in brakes, Called them back and brought the car back. I was then told I only had 20% left on the front brakes! I asked if they actually checked the breaks earlier and got no response. I told him how upset this was as I was taking a 3000 mile trip! At my request I had them do all 4 brakes. Next day, I lift the new wind shield blades to clean the windows for the trip and one falls off in my hand. Back to Meineke and ask them to put it back on and they struggle with it. I ask if its defective and they say nothing.... then they put a new one on. Fast forward to Florida 2 weeks later.... The alternator belt breaks on me. I'm in a city where I know no mechanics. Luckily a friend recommends one and He was terrific in helping me immediately, But this is the belt that was "no emergency and could wait til the next oil change???" What would happen if I was on route 95 where you can go miles and miles with no exits??? I am SO done with this company. Never again. Next letter is to Corporate Office.
