We were totally satisfied with the service we received from Brian and Steve. Our local RV places were booked out for months and we discovered a water system issue when ready to set out on a trip. I found TwoFeathers by chance within a reasonable distance from our home in Burlington, VT. Brian carefully perused sources and was able to order parts needed and receive them quickly. Steve s plumbing installations were beautifully done. The hours charged for labor and prices for parts were as estimated and reasonable. Our van s interior was left very tidy after the work was completed. We will likely drive our camper van to TwoFeathers for work needed in the future.

If I could give them a negative rating I would but in the absence of that... I will just a write a warning. If you want to be charged through the nose for a job that isn't even done poorly but wrong... this is your guy. If you want to have the absentee owner show up, explain that his employees are all in jail because they ripped him off and he has no idea what repairs they did to your van... this is your guy. If you want them to "not" stand behind the work they did and blame everything and everyone for what isn't working... this is your guy. If you want to get your RV, Travel Van or Camper repaired... this is NOT your guy. If someone had written this review to warn me, prior to going to see them... I would have found someone else. Next stop... The BBB.Services: Electrical, Battery

I waited several months to write this review in order to be able to leave out emotion. We thought a professional RV restorer could help us speed up our project. After speaking with Brian and discussing lead time, and rough estimates, on 6/14/2018 we dropped of our 16ft 1970 Fan Lee Liner camper at TwoFeathers Restoration & Design LLC.We wanted the siding replaced, the trailer lights wired, the braked checked, breakaway switch installed, new bumper installed, city water inlet installed, manual fill water inlet installed but not plumbed, gray water outlet installed, glass installed in 3 windows that were otherwise restored, battery-box installed with venting, vent doors for the refrigerator installed, a box for the power distribution center installed. We discussed our budget, and Brian seemed to agree that is was reasonable for what we discussed. We were told that they would begin work after the two in their shop were done. They were scheduled to be done for the 4th of July. We expected out camper to sit in their lot for 3 weeks. We are reasonable, and would have considered even 6 weeks acceptable. We tarped our camper in the lot, assuming we could trust his estimate. Our camper wasn't brought in to the shop until November 10th. 5 MONTHS later. Then no work was done until February 2019. We heard many times throughout July 2018, August 2018, September 2018.... we will start yours next week But excuses came rolling in. The Flu hit several times. The air compressor went down and they could only get one that was made in Germany. The electrician wired it wrong. The vendor that makes their siding had a machine that broke, so Brian had to go to Georgia, himself, to fix it. He couldn't. The new siding company had shipping issues. And this is all before they really started.Their billing was a mess. Brian had no idea what he had charged us for already. And what our balance was. He charged us a 4 hour consultation fee, $520 for the the time we waited for him to help other customers, search for a lost title for another customer, and eat his lunch. We did not need the shop tour at $130/hour. An hour and would have been plenty. Invoice after invoice, I kept track of our balance, but his balance was never right. He did end up waiving it in the end.He took on other big projects and completed them while our camper sat in the corner. When they finally got to the siding around July 2019, they found an issue with one of the pieces of plywood we used. We agreed that they should correct it. Shortly after, an accident put a 2x4 through it and they had to do it over.We finally were told our camper was done in the beginning of November. We arranged to pick it up 11/2/2019. We drove 4.5 hours there only to find out it wasn't finished, and some items were wrong. There was a dent in the siding in the rear, the manual water fill was so low that water would have to defy gravity to fill the tank. The corner trim did not cover the staples used to attach the siding. Which left unsealed places for water penetration. They forgot to apply the silicone caulk they intended to apply. They didn't install the wood box for the power distribution center. They didn't install the breakaway switch. The battery box was installed under the gaucho bed not the dinette. We wasted a 9 hour drive. We were given a credit for gas. At this point we were finally the priority in the shop. We returned the next week 11/9/2019 to pick up the camper. Our camper was there 17 months. The bumper they installed and painted is already rusty. We've since found more issues that will be addressed in the fall. Another 4.5 hour trip each way.Update 2022: Our roof is leaking in 2 spots after just 2 years. They cut holes in the wrong spot for the range vent and they are still not doing anything to fix it. I contact they monthly, but excuse after excuse. Even for COVID 2 years is too much. Never even offered a refund for the things they messed up and didn't fix.

Do your homework before contracting for restoration. Get ALL project completion dates (NOT Estimates) in writing and INCLUDED in contract. Verbal commitments will not suffice here. Require REFERENCES you can contact personally with COMPLETED (before AND AFTER) projects and or a website that documents a completed project from start to finish including a timeline. NOT Better Business Bureau accredited!

Please do your homework with who you are working with here (Brian Artherton is the owner). Working with this firm was extremely challenging. Over 2x estimate and our trailer was in better condition than anticipated (their words not mine), worst customer service I have been a part of, communication was poor at best, and after spending $xx,xxx we received our trailer back that leaked. It did not leak when we dropped it off but it did when we got it back.Update 6/11 - we just got the camper back from winter storage and we will be posting pictures for the "quality" we received . Who is "we" when you note we talked to you about the warranty for the workmanship. Brian Atherton is the only contact we have ever had with your shop, he signed the contract, runs your facebook, noted on linkedIn, and billed the account. If you stand behind your work I suggest you call my wife and get this resolved AQAP.Update - email received from ownership stating they wont honor manufacturers warranty unless I remove the shop managers name (Brian Artherton or Atherton) from my review. We took the camper out for its first trip since getting the trailer back. Waterline busted and screws literally were falling out and we got blamed eventhough we have Change order asking for waterline to be replaced. Won't this every end!!!

I was very excited when this shop first opened as I own an older motor home. They charged over $200.00 for a window leak they did not fix, and then refused to discuss it. The owner spends too much time talking at you and not much time listening.
