Parking attendants were very nice and helpful! Overall, was a great place to park w/ a close walk to TD garden for not too bad of a price. Definitely will park here again!

Boston is a really big city as you know. And if you miss a turn (or in this case, a parking garage entrance), then you could spend the next half hour just going around the block to get back where you want to be. So long story short, I had paid reservations at a different parking garage, but I accidentally went in the entrance here to the Government Center garage. I quickly realized my mistake and then my heart sank as I knew I would have to pay for the first hour at a new garage after already paying for parking at a different garage. Parking in Boston is not cheap people. Anyway, I approached the office to pay for my parking. The guy scanned my receipt and said "man you only been here a couple of minutes." I then told him what had happened and he quickly hit the button and said "man get out of here" in a joking manner and handed me my receipt back to be able to scan to get out. I Just want to say that it was such a breath of fresh air and and a load off my shoulders that this guy looked out for me like that. I highly recommend this parking garage and next time I'm in that part of the city, this is where I'm parking.

I just parked here for a Bruins game and paid in advance, I had called prior to my arrival and they were so helpful and kind on the phone and both men who were there after the game today were so nice and professional!! Park here!!!

What a mess! I was very nervous parking there...the construction was a mess. Signage is confusing and the machines to pay were broken. Boston is always such a nightmare lately. Everything is looking so run down! From the airport to the tunnels, the trains to the parking garages! Come on Boston let s get it together!! The whole city needs a renovation! I cannot imagine being an out of town-er. Where are all these tax $ going?!

AWFUL PARKING PLACE.It s been under construction forever and as a monthly customer, I can say they don t care about customers safety or welfare.COVID protocol doesn t exist. They have 1 elevator working for days for 8 floors of parking. You need to wait almost an hour with you want to get a ride with 2 people only (as it s supposed to be) and if you don t have time, join me at this full elevator during COVID still times. No stairs open too. So it s no options at all.Available hand sanitizer? Of course not.Touch the elevator button 50 times to try to get in and clean it your self!Oh go the office and talk to the manager then.Well, he said he is doing whatever he can and that s it. I can t wait for my company to move parking lot soon and never more have to step in this one.

Edit/Update: A Senior Manager reached out & spoke to me after my review and was very sincere and apologetic in regards to my experience with the staff/garage. I greatly appreciate the call to try and rectify the situation!-----------------------------------------------------------Beware of parking traps! After parking nightly for 9 months, last week I parked my car in an area which I was directed to by a very clear Additional Parking sign & arrow. There were cars I followed into the section & cars that came and parked after me in that section. The next morning around 8am, I got a call from the garage manager telling me I was parked in a construction zone & my reverse commuter pass was being terminated immediately. I told him that was not the case as there was no "No Parking" signage & other cars were there as well. He did not care and said I could come in to speak with him.I rushed over & had the same argument with him, saying how it s ridiculous for me to be punished for their incorrect signage & that cars were parking there the prior night. He stated he had put construction/no parking signs up a week ago. A WEEK AGO. Construction & garage workers are always moving signs, so claiming signs were blocking the section there a week ago, when I saw cars coming and going the night before is a terrible excuse. (See photo for the two signs that were moved AFTER I parked the night before, that would have blocked my entrance)He said it was out of his hands, but did not have anyone else I could speak to or contact. There was no warning, no violation fee, just immediate termination, leaving me with no place to park. He did list other garages to try, so I'll give him that. Oh, and when I went to get into my car, the section that was a supposed big construction zone only had a single worker all the way in the corner (see photo). My only guess is since over half the garage is being torn down, they re using this as an excuse to remove people, although politely asking would have been nicer.

Plenty of parking. Reasonable pricing; spent a little under 40 for the entire day. Close to public transit.

I gave an average star rating ahead of Parking, I will update specifically so people are aware, keeping in mind there s alot of stuff going on that may affect parking but may not be due to them!I used spot hero in order to get a parking spot ahead of Jim Irsay show. I paid & got a code to scan in, I really hope it s as easy to get out as it is in, I am reading a lot about some valets/workers trying to hustle the spots to ppl leaving, in hopes people feel the pressure behind them and just pay again. I have worked at several garages so I hope this isn t the case as GOV center/SP+ never before had that rep, my father is old so I am praying it isn t the case but will update exactly what happens good or bad! I hope everyone enjoys themselves tonight!

A bunch of crooks. I reserved a time from 9:30-6:30 (total of 9 hours). I paid $36 in advance. I got there around 10:15, and left around 6:55 (a little less than 9 hours). At checkout they charged me another $19 to leave. I spoke to whoever answered the speaker and they said that was company policy. So they wound up charging me $55 when their posted maximum daily rate is only $42.

I just got off the phone with this location and I had a terrible experience here! First I prepaid for my weekend stay. I chose their Park and Stay program that supposed to cost $15 a day. I stayed from Friday afternoon to Monday evening. That's 4 days total. I was charged online about $60 online which was very fair. They make it seem like you are paying for the day but it's to the exact minute. On my way out, I was charged an additional $42.50 for staying over 5 minutes later than my time that I stated. I didn't think I was being charged for the exact minute to get out. I was under the impression I had paid for the whole day. When I spoke to the lady who answered the phone, she was extremely rude, did not let me finish my sentences. Just said anything over 1 minute late is a $42.50 charge. No exceptions. I feel that this is very shady business practices. There are many other parking garages in the area. I will NOT go back here again and I would NOT recommend this location to anyone. If you decide to use this location, make sure you check your debit or credit card for bogus charges. Terrible experience!!!

DO NOT PARK HERE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. If I could give them 0 stars or negative stars I would. The management staff and the people who answer for "assistance" are rude, disrespectful, incompetent, and will do anything to overcharge you. If you value your time, money, and sanity, park literally anywhere else.I have been a monthly overnight/reverse commute customer at this garage, it has been a nightmare to deal with, and they suddenly decided to up and cancel my account today for no reason, leaving me completely displaced.Upon trying to leave this morning, I was prompted to pay $60 even though I already paid for the month of September. When I pressed the assistance button to try and find out why, an incredibly rude woman answered told me I was being charged an overstay fee. Impossible, because I work at a hospital every day 5:45AM-3PM, and I worked every day this week. Upon trying to explain this to her she became argumentative with me and insisted that I owed $60. After arguing back and forth, an man came on the phone and said that he would open the gate for me but my account was canceled immediately. I have been fighting with them all day today and they cannot provide me a legitimate answer as to why they canceled my account.I will be contacting the city and the Better Business Bureau about this garage, and if they do not refund me for the month of September I will be getting a lawyer. Pleaaaaase do yourself a favor and park somewhere else.

Best deal in the city! I've been parking here for years and it is now getting better all the time. They have been doing a lot of construction but I always find a space easily (higher up) and it has not been dusty. Much better experience now that the elevators have been replaced and the new LED lighting is brighter and surely more friendly to the environment! The staff have always been very pleasant and helpful.

The parking was fine. The area was a bit sketch and it could do with more signage for pedestrians to reenter the garage to get their cars. We walked through several "No Pedestrians" areas because we didn't know where to enter.

DO NOT PARK HERE! I would recommend Center Plaza Garage or Boston Common Garage instead. If you're looking for a garage to park in, there are other options close by that are more affordable, cleaner, and where you'll be treated with respect. Trying to deal with the office here is a nightmare; I called with a question and was treated with tremendous disrespect. After our conversation, they thought I had hung up but I was still on the line because I was driving, and I heard the man who I'd been speaking to call me horrible things to the others in the office. My mother also used this garage and has been emailing daily to have her monthly parking cancelled (she switched garages because of the price and uncleanliness) and they're still billing her 2 months later. When asked about this, the office says they outsource it and it's out of their hands, taking absolutely no responsibility for how their customers are being billed and unwilling to do anything to help. They'll also tell you it's $120 per month, but then charge you an extra $20 for the required key card, and then change the price on you to $140 per month. Center plaza garage is only $95 per month which is a lot less than $140 - and the garage is cleaner and the staff is helpful and respectful.

My husband and I attended a concert in Boston, and tried to purchase $40 event parking at this parking garage. We were told by a very rude attendant that if the concert was from 8 to 11 p.m. we were only allowed to park there from 8 to 11 p.m., meaning we would have to park there after the concert started and leave before the concert ended for $40. The lady also continuously called my husband ma'am even though he has a very deep voice and corrected her multiple times. I could not believe how rude they were to us. I would not recommend parking here for any events unless you want to miss half of your concert

I was receiving a discount on parking due to the fact I work at TD GARDEN. I was told by another TD Garden employee (her card was blocked when she tried to enter on 9/25/2021. So she had to take a ticket and was charged $25) that the discount is no longer offered. No notification was sent out, or phone call made to let me know of this change. That's not a very good way of doing business. With the new season at the GARDEN starting up, it's as if I will be working to pay for parking, if I continue to park in this garage.

Weekends are an all day under $20 in the North End/Financial District and so much to do in that area that it is impossible to cover in just a day or weekend. Go Saturday and Sunday's, park your car and do not worry about the expense or the safety of you and your vehicles.

This place is a scam - they way overcharge for parking and no option to back out or pull thru if you don t want to park there after seeing their rates. Ex: $9 for 20 mins or less

Do not park here if you value your time. This place certainly doesn't.It took 2 hours to get out of the garage after the Bruins game on 10/5/17. I've NEVER experienced that at any parking facility before, including this one. It's frankly unacceptable to have people wait that long to get out of a parking garage, and I think they should seriously reconsider how they exit people from your lot. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I called the office, and they placed the blame on the Boston Police, saying that police did not arrive to help, and that they would be calling again. Needless to say, that didn't help at all, and I didn't get out for another 1.5 hours. Reading the reviews that people have been posting about this facility lately, I can see that it is a common issue, and they have not addressed it.On the way out, I asked your attendant about what is causing the issue and he informed me that it has always been like that. I don't know if he was new, but I can assure you that it has not always been like that, and it NEEDS to improve if they want to justify charging $35 to park there for events.

I would give 0 if I could for this rating. Actually I would love if someone could give me the contact of the gm. I would love to actually get some good customer service. Basically this place scammed us big time and the ladies In The office were extremely rude. Not only did we have a problem, but the people behind us had the same problem. They didn t believe what we were telling them. They removed the Daily rates and put out the event rate, and then double charged us. We got out of our car looking everywhere for rates but it wasn t there. The next day it was after we parked. They said The rates were there the whole time. When they clearly were not. Seems pretty weird that two people walked in at the same time with the same problem. Clearly they don t understand the concept of customer service. At this rate we could have taken an Uber from our home town in Rhode Island. We paid 73 dollars for 20 hours..... This was so not fair. Woked in the customer service industry and your goal should always be to somehow make the customer satisfied.

Equipment malfunctions, onsite associates are understaffed, office hours are 9-4, if you need any assistance you have to come in person during office hours and the on going construction damaged my car which I can not do anything about. Just go anywhere else, whether you are on a reverse commute or want a 24/7 pass - any garage but this one. If you want to park here and have your car broken into by folks from the halfway house conveniently located next door, then please - be my guest.

Parking at Government Center is an absolutely awful experience. The staff is rude and unhelpful. Access and navigating the garage is terrible.Even before the construction, this place was miserable, but fairly priced so I stayed. However, since the construction has began, they have increased prices, it feels like half the spots are closed/reserved, it takes about 10+ mins to find a parking spot, it is extremely hard to navigate, and you risk damage to your car (flat tires). In the past few months I have had to replace 3 tires because of nails/screws; caused by the construction work in the garage. If all this was not bad enough, it is often difficult to determine if a spot is open/reserved/not a spot/or handicapped (bc of changes due to construction and poor management) and if you make a mistake, they put lovely tow notices on your car windows that leaves glue marks on the glass that does not come off (in my experience).I am excited to move and never park in this dump again.Lastly, to would be parkers, the garage constantly closes entrances so don t trust that your gps will bring you to the right entrance.

This garage is convenient to downtown. The office staff are very helpful and always seem to have a smile... which is not that common in other garages. You can get a pre-paid pass card (which you can reload) that will allow you to get the early bird rate ($20 for the day; enter by 9:30am and leave by 8pm) during the week. It is the cheapest rate around and you can use it at anytime. I don't drive in frequently but it is always available when I need it, since there is no set time limit to use it.They are still in the middle of some construction but it is not a hindrance to parking.

Service is horrible, and I bet is something happened to your car, they are not gonna help you. The technology used is archaic, many problem to get in, much problem to get out of the garage. The client service is worst that the most low services. If you have any problem they will not solved and then for the company to reach you will pass 3 month and even there no solutionSsplus company and this garage has a really bad service

I pay for monthly parking here. It is a disaster zone as others have said. However, no where comes close for the commuter rate they offer right now. $140/month to park daily overnight and on weekends is unheard of in this neighborhood. I have to go into the office daily so I rely on this garage. Yes the signage is confusing but at some point the construction will cease.

I was visiting a friend in Boston for a few days and was unfamiliar with the area. I called and spoke to a woman on Friday June 20th to inquire about parking there. She was absolutely amazing, it was hands down one of the best experiences I've had in terms of customer service. She was patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. She explained to me the different options, how the services work and even explained to me what worked best for my stay. On top of all of that she even gave me a promo code to use online to save some money. I couldn't have been happier.

Was extremely challenging to find a space on Friday morning, but the "Friday Special" rate makes this lot much cheaper on Fridays than other options in the area. The problem is, their hardware, set up to read the pre-paid coupon bar codes at the garage exit, is out-dated and doesn't work, so I sat there waiting 20 minutes for an attendant to come, try to get the reader to work himself, give up, head back to his office to manually enter the coupon into the computer, then open the gate for me. I'm willing to deal with the non-functional machinery on the occasional basis to save myself nearly $20 on Friday parking though!

This is the worst parking garage. It s literally falling apart. Construction everywhere. Management doesn t provide clear communication to monthly pass holders about changes to traffic patterns, detours, closures etc. When there are events it s near Impossible to find a spot. I worry it will collapse with my car or me in it.

Only used for rentals / Zipcar pickups. Works fine, but entrances could be more clearly marked. Signage inside is also not the greatest. If renting, budget an extra 15 minutes each for pickup / dropoff of your car.
