Murray s is always great! The guys are crazy quick and nice. The work is honestly the best Ive had and always well priced. It s rare, as a young woman, to feel a mechanic shop both doesn t take advantage at your lack of knowledge and is willing to explain everything to you kindly. Would definitely suggest Murray s to those in the area!

After searching high and low across the DMV for an honest, reputable auto shop, I am so grateful that my husband and I found Murray's Auto Clinic. We have a 10 year old car and knew there was an issue with the engine, but several other shops and dealers told us the wrong diagnosis and the estimate was in the thousands of dollars. We sought Murray's for a 6th opinion and they gave us a thorough investigation, found the problem and the price was more than fair. The mechanics were communicative and responsible and kept us updated every step of the way -- they clearly care about their customers and it was a breeze working with them!

Been to this shop twice and both times the employees have been so kind and helpful. Also, they showed me my old parts and explained them to me. Overall, they definitely got the job done and did it well! The prices are very fair too. Would really recommend if you're looking for a place to get your car serviced! :)

Murrays Auto is competitive, skilled, trustworthy, and very high in customer care. They assess your needs, repair what is needed, offer suggestions of other timely repairs, and do the work quickly and well. They are courteous and helpful in getting your car parked, and readily available when you pick up. I won't take my car anywhere else.

My brakes were making some noises when I would press my foot down. Someone had recommended Murray auto repair, saying that they are honest, reasonable, and will find out what is wrong and do a good job repairing it. I have been to others auto shops but could not get any satisfactory results only what they thought it was. They called and reported what the problem was and would have my car ready by 3pm. The price was fair and my car was ready when I arrived. I have not heard the noises while driving home.Thank you Murray, you have a new customer.

Quick and easy process. Just moved all the way from Fargo, ND so I was in need of a Maryland State inspection. Was very quick and they got me in right away. Very pleased with how simple this was, and it's within walking distance of my apartment. Win win!

I am grateful for Murray's Auto Clinic mechanics and management staff! You are the best in DMV area! I have a chevrolet cruze, I went to the dealership Chevrolet in Alexandria and Lindsay, they wanted to scam me! Chevrolet dealership made the wrong diagnostic and they lie to clients too! Thank you guys for being honest and reliable to your clients!

My car shut down on me in the middle of the road yesterday, 11/7 and would not start back up. While waiting for a tow I looked for the most recommended repair shops in the Takoma Park FB group and Murray s was mentioned on multiple occasions with high praises. I gave them a call to see if my vehicle was something they would be able to work on. I explained it may be something with the charging system due to the car dying and making clicking sounds when trying to start it back up. When the tow truck finally picked up my car and we got to the shop by about 3pm they were extremely friendly and professional. They were not able to look at my car that day (I expected this, due to my experience with other shops) so I did not mind. They called today, 11/8 and let me know they charged up my battery and ran tests all day but were unable to come up with evidence of any of the parts in the charging system failing. They did think it was the alternator but with no evidence they said they didn t want to definitively say that was the issue. I was able to get my car today and just paid the diagnostic fee (great price). I completely appreciate how quickly they began to work on car, their honesty and integrity. Other shops would ve just told me I need to replace my alternator and have me pay the $900+ it likely would ve cost. As I told them when I picked up my car this evening, I WILL be back! I have a TPMS sensor that needs replacing and I will definitely be calling them to do it! Thank you guys for your help, I ll see you soon!

Murray's always does great work on my car, and can often take me on short notice. One of things I like the most about them is that they'll tell me if they don't think my car needs a particular bit of work to avoid overcharging me.

Murray's was reccomended by a friend. They were very professional, they sent me emails to confirm my appt & well as,calls to inform me of their step by step work on my car. They gave me honest recommendations on prices & services. Their prices and services are better than the dealers.

Visited Murray s without an appointment to get my side mirror fixed. One of the mechanics was so helpful and was able to get it fixed working 5 minutes. And I was not charged. I don t know too many places in this day and age they won t try to gouge your eyes out for every penny. Easy to schedule an appointment and they have good hours to drop off and pick up before and after work. I only used them for a MD vehicle inspection but was happy with the service and communication. I (desperately) needed a State Inspection for my vehicle as I had an appointment at the MVA the next day. Murray s was able to get me in without an appointment (although I believe I was lucky here, they do require appointments) and complete the inspection quickly and at a competitive price compared to other businesses in the area.Unfortunately, I did not pass the inspection and needed additional services for my car to pass. One of the mechanics, Marty, patiently explained everything I needed done and was able to complete all services same-day. I m unsure of how those costs compare to others in the area. However, I was able to get everything done that I needed to and quickly. Definitely going back to Murray s for all car-related needs. Can t thank the team enough.

Came in at least 10 minutes early drop the keys off went for a walk and was ready back in an hour for an oil change. Thank you guys it s my first time there. I m very satisfied.

Went to another auto place in the area initially but was put off when they immediately tried to upsell me for a simple oil change. This place was completely different. I brought my car in for a safety inspection and they called me back a few hours later (as they said they would) and said that there were a few issues. My lights were cloudy, my hood strut wasn't functional, and my front struts needed to be replaced; my rear needed to be soon but I could put it off. Notice how they did not try to sell me on replacing my rear struts immediately, they just said I should replace them in the next six months. Additionally, all the issues they mentioned were ones my last good mechanic had told me may need to be fixed in the next year (I couldn't afford it at the time). Bottom line: they were straight with me and did the work they said they would in the time they estimated it would take. Exceptionally professional.Edit: Been here a few more times now for oil changes and various maintenance. It's been great service every time. This last time I came in for a squeaky noise coming from my car at low speeds. After determining the noise to be a result of my car having old (but perfectly functional and safe brake parts) they put everything back together and didn't even charge me.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle safety inspection

I've been a steady customer for more than 10 years because they've always provided thorough and trusted advice without attempting to push unnecessary repairs. Their service kept my old car running safely until I replaced it with a new one that is now 5 years old. I've never taken that car to the dealership because I prefer Murrays.----------------------Updated 11 Jan 24They look out for their customers. Last week I brought my vehicle in for what I anticipated would be a major issue and Tim diagnosed a simple fix.The service is always courteous and thorough. They don't upsell services that I don't need, but as needed, they will offer helpful recommendations to spare me future problems with my vehicle.

Poor service, I inquired about emissions test. The tech inquired if my inspection was up to date. I told him yes. Upon hearing my inspection of the vehicle was up to date he instructed me to google garages close to me or near my home. This conversation occurred 10/10/2023 @ 1:16 pm I did not ask the tech name unfortunately but at the end of the day. Bad Business
