Honda of Owings Mills Service worked on my car without my permission and left some of my parts on the front seat in a plastic black glove before they returned it to me and without sharing this information with me. I had my car towed to this shop because I had previously purchased from them and had installed, a battery and an alternator. And both were under warranty. I had took pictures under the hood area before my car was towed. I was told that the alternator couldn t be fixed because of an oil leakage. I told them I didn t want them to fix it because the cost was going to be too much and I told them I was going to have someone else do the work and a tow truck would come to get my car. Nothing seemed out the ordinary until the next shop I took it to looked under my hood. This shop didn t even want to work on my car at first and thought I was on some shxt. My alternator was just sitting in the place it was supposed to be, rocking and not attached to anything. I called back up Honda of Owings Mills and was told at first that they thought I was going to have my car towed to my house and forgot to tell me about the parts in the plastic glove on my front seat and the belt. I said what difference did they make if I was having my car towed home. They still should have been forthcoming and they never should have started working on my car without consent causing all that damage for me to pay for and fix. Shinork Ozkan, the Service Director told me it was a clerical issue and nothing he could do. I begged he to help. Now I am paying for something they started and didn t finish because they shouldn t have started in the first place. I did get Shinork Ozkan, the Service Director to agree to pay for the tow to tow my car back to them but on second thought I didn t trust them anymore and told them to pass on that and then I asked Shinork Ozkan, the Service Director to help with the battery because the new shop said I needed another one and since it was still under warranty and would cost less than the tow they offer, I thought they would be fine with this but Shinork Ozkan, the Service Director wasn t. He still wanted me to bring my car in and didn t believe the shop where my car was at. He said I couldn t just come pick a battery up. So I would have to pay fully out of pocket and get no benefit of the battery warranty. Finally after fixing what they started without my permission.. and installing a new alternator and a new battery, I am back on the road no thanks to them. They don t ever have to worry about me bringing my Honda or buying a Honda from them. I am done.#howdidyoureact

Kudos to Mitchell and Danny at the Owings Mills Honda service center. I had a problem that these guys were able to solve so quickly and sent me on my way. They could have taken advantage of me and I would never know - it could have cost me a big fee but instead they took a few minutes to help me out! I am so thrilled and trust them for future repairs and service to my car.

(CONTINUED) I told him what I had just witnessed and he simply said hold on and went inside to ask around, I presume. He came back and said oh they were just trying to get another customer car out of the service lane that was behind yours so they tried to take it out and I guess they thought the doors were going to come down on your car and then proceeded to gesture for me to pull my car inside of the service lane, pop my hood, and installed the piece on the hood of my car right there in the service lane. I made sure to stand next to him and the other man that was there and watch because I had no trust left for anyone that got near my car. Danny popped the piece onto my hood and then the possible mechanic used his phone flashlight to inspect my engine..? Danny closed my hood and told me that if I had any issues to call him. I said thank you and went on my way. Josh, my advisor, had been on his lunch break when I arrived, but he was very courteous to give me a call even though I had already left. I explained to him what happened and he apologized and told me that it would not happen the next time that I brought my car in for service. I informed him that I would never be going back there. He understood and wished me the best. Overall, this dealership completely demolished any trust I had with them and I do not feel safe taking my vehicle or even recommending anyone else to take their vehicle there. I do not blame Josh because he did his job and I am aware that he will not be checking under the hood of every single vehicle that comes in for service but everything just came together so horribly. I only hope that no other customer had to experience, or will ever experience, what I had to.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. The customer service at this place is horrible, and the service department is very unprofessional and lacks the necessary knowledge and information to service a Honda vehicle. Save yourself the time and money, and select another Honda dealership. I would give zero stars if I could.Update: Shinork Ozkan(Service Director) is a good man, and he's very customer service oriented. He helped my situation out and tried his best to rectify the issue. I originally gave a 1 star rating, but because of him, I increased the star rating.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I took my new 2023 civic for its first service (A1: oil change and tire rotation). I had my vehicle serviced on a Thursday and Friday night I turned on the ac and I smelled oil coming through the vents. I popped the hood and the oil cap was laying next to the hood latch and my engine bay was covered in oil. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that a rookie mistake like that was made. I had to take my car back to the service department the following morning (Saturday) to get it cleaned, on my day off. I informed the service manager, Danny, as well as my service advisor, Josh, of the situation and their silence proved to me that they understood the mess-up that had occurred. They asked for only one hour of my time to clean my engine bay. After that hour I saw my car was parked outside, I assumed it was ready and walked in to talk to my advisor since I did not get a call/text. Josh assured me my car was clean but when I double checked and swiped my finger across it was clear that the oil was not cleaned. Josh took my car back to get it cleaned, again. I waited some more until I saw them pull my car into the service lane and I walked in to triple check and thankfully it was cleaned. I was also informed that a fabric cover under my hood was soaked in oil so they removed it and ordered a new one that I could pick up on Tuesday. I thanked them and left. However, they had proved to me that they could not be trusted so I had to get a second opinion. I took it to another dealership to get it inspected and to my surprise there was a lot that was done wrong underneath my car was still drenched in oil, I had excess oil now, I needed another oil change, and on top of that the oil that was drained was dark this meant that my oil was never changed. I had everything inspected after I was informed of this. My tires were checked and the air in my tires and all the lug nuts. I had spent the majority of my day trying to fix Honda s issue and it being my day off and not being offered any compensation for this mess that they created, or even having better customer service other than come see me if you have any other problems simply infuriated me more. I ended up having to pay for services elsewhere for a car that Honda was supposed to service for free. My first 2years/24k miles for this 2023 car should be free. I went back to Honda after my car was finally serviced properly and I explained everything that happened and how I wanted to be reimbursed for the service and cleaning of my car. Tuesday came around and I went to go pick up the check I was owed and the part that needed to be installed in the hood of my car after it was damaged. I dropped off my car in the service lane and waited inside of the waiting area. Only a few minutes went by before I heard yelling whoa whoa whoa! The commotion was so loud that even with the doors closed customers stood up and tried to peak over to the service lane to see what was going on. My heart sank when I saw that all of the attention was drawn towards MY CAR! I quickly rushed outside to find three service advisors standing halfway out the side door facing the direction of my car. My car appeared to be very close to the automatic doors that lead outside of the service lane. Both doors that lead outside were closed and I didn t know what had happened and why there was so much commotion. I was simply flustered because no one was going to say anything to me, clearly. I asked what happened and then I told an advisor that I was not going to leave my car s sight. It had already been messed up once by them and I refused to let them mess it up again. The advisor told me to just take the car around then because that was what the porter was intending to do. The porter quickly got out of my car and said I m sorry and rushed inside. I was so confused as to why he looked so guilty and why there was even any yelling directed towards my car. I drove my car around and then waited inside of my vehicle until Danny, the service manager, came back out and then I explained what happened (CONTINUES)

Unfortunately I am experiencing the worst experience with this dealer. The treatment of the representative (Jermaine Haye (954) and his shift supervisor was not at all honest treatment towards me.After having left my car for repair for a specific thing (Fuel Injectors Replacement & Carbon Clean Procedure), now they return it to me with a NEW problem that I did NOT have before going there (a problem code with the catalytic converter).They deliver my car supposedly "repaired" and give it to me with the check engine light ON. At that time the only solution they gave me was to RESET the light and as expected, it didn't work and it came back on.The next day I took the car back to them and they did not want to take responsibility for the damage that occurred under the coverage of their facilities.Not satisfied with that, they want me to be responsible for paying for the fix of a problem that occurred under their facilities.Anyone who knows a little about mechanics knows that, these types of procedures where after changing the fuel injectors, and doing a carbon cleaning, this carbon will look for a way out and the only way is the catalytic. This can cause your catalytic converter to become clogged or your sensors to become clogged with carbon. This was exactly what I tried to explain to them and they still don't take responsibility.I have been a Honda customer (Manassas, VA) for years and for the first time I took my car to this dealer (Owings Mills, MD) and this happens to me. Frustration and helplessness is not enough for what I am feeling right now.

Honda of Owings Mills is Awesome! Josh is my go to guy. Whenever I come in for any type of service he always takes great care of me. I m usually in and out in no time. He keeps me informed every step of the way. Staff are so kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend Owings Mills Honda for all your service needs

I had came in with my new car that I have had for less than 1 week because I hit a pothole and knocked the side-skirt out of place. Mr. Danny Funk was so kind and did not make me feel stupid for hitting a pothole or damaging my brand new car. I felt at home. The level of service I received was impeccable. I cannot wait to return to this location for my normal car maintenance. As a woman, I did not feel taken advantage of and i felt like Danny truly had my best interest at heart. I had my car serviced die to a tire problem but instead I was told that there was a recall on my vehicle. However I told the representative at service department to make sure to check the tire because air was depleting.. According to who ever inspected my tires they didn t find anything wrong. The following day the same issue, so I checked it myself did a simple leak check and found a nail on my tire. How could they miss that?

Mrs. Debbie and Josh are both awesome. Mrs. Debbie is so pleasant. She makes checking out so easy and always has good conversations. Josh is always busy but makes me feel like I'm his only customer. I really like that location. And kudos to the mechanics

Simply put...amazing service! I was having issues connecting my entertainment system and they all jumped in to help. Kenric and Earl went out their way to get me in the same day to service. They greeted me on arrival to service and checked with me prior to leaving to ensure my issues were resolved. Shinork, Blake, and Danny were the best! Professional, patient, and friendly! They worked really hard to make sure my entertainment system was working correctly and that I was happy! I don't think I will go anywhere else. This type of customer service is hard to find! I recently had a problem with my ignition switch. I was asked to bring my car in to repair it, dropped my car off on a weekend, came to pick it up Monday, car not repaired because they didn t have the part. Needless to say I was not happy because I am a homecare nurse , needing my car to drive throughout the day to see patients. Not to mention I dropped my car off with the expectation the repairs were being made. I was told it may take a couple days or weeks Well I was not happy at all because I have no car to drive. I spoke with Danny Funk one of the managers who listened to my concerns and did everything he could to obtain the part needed as well as expedite it. Danny was thoughtful, polite and did everything in his power to ensure my car was a priority. Thank you Danny for being approachable, listening to my concerns and your professionalism.. I will recommend Honda of Owings Mills because of the exceptional customer service I received from you!

My Apple CarPlay had stopped working and for a few days I was struggling to get my phone connected. I tried to forget device and connect it again just to be unsuccessful every single time. I didn t get my CRV from Honda Owings Mills, so I was a bit hesitant to stop there but I m so glad I did because Danny was super helpful! He made me feel welcome and he said that I could always stop by when I needed help. He was very patient and he explained to me what happens after a while with the Apple CarPlay. Amazing customer service! I brought my car here because I felt something was off with my back tires. I tried to figure out what was wrong but had no clue and since my dad doesn t live close and couldn t figure it out over FaceTime I was completely lost/worried. I decided to stop at this location & explained my situation. The manager Danny and Nic one of the service consultants took my concerns seriously and checked me in immediately. I only waited 30 minutes until they got back to me and told me everything looked great and offered me to go on another test drive with them since they couldn t hear anything on the first test drive. Turns out I was just an idiot and forgot that I put 2 boxes of super heavy flooring in my trunk the day before and they happened to move from side to side when I was turning. We had a pretty good laugh about it and they waived the inspection fee. As a woman it s so nice to have someone give an honest opinion about my car.I highly recommend this location - everyone there was incredibly friendly and I felt extremely comfortable! I have had my problems in the past with this dealerships service department. But in the past couple of years with a new service manager, they has finally changed my mind. I find the staff to be much more helpful, fair and pleasant. I finally feel like they genuinely want to help me as a customer, and not just make a buck. Horrible experience! Dishonest mechanics and extremely expensive service. My car was under warranty and they tried to charge me close to a thousand dollars for a transmission fluid flush and diagnostic test, which was not covered by my warranty, before they would resolve the transmission issue because they stated the fluid was black. I refused the service and took my vehicle to my mechanic who said the fluid was a normal color and most likely needs a new transmission due to the code that the diagnostic test was returning.Service: Transmission

Although there is almost nothing I can do with my car and I m internally sobbing, I had the best experience bringing my car here.First, they have one of THEEEE best service people, Blake! Everyone on the team was amazing but Blake helped me so much and had so much patience through my time with them. I went from being ecstatic to devastated and Blake stood by me the whole way. She gave me time to process my new realities and was also of assistance as I looked for options.Second, they wash your car Third, they are honest and reliable Unfortunately, I don t have answers about my next steps but I DO know that if I manage to get another Honda, I m ONLY going here!5 stars for the establishment 10 stars for Blake !
