I made an appointment on Monday to bring my vehicle in via tow truck on Wednesday because it wouldn't start. They confirmed my appointment for early Wednesday morning so I scheduled a tow truck to bring it in on that morning.I called Jhingo to let them know I was on the way when they told me I could not bring it in at all. They had completely forgot about my appointment, arbitrarily closed the shop for the day, told me I had to forego my tow truck that I paid hundreds of dollars for. Basically completely flaked on me after CONFIRMING AN APPOINTMENT. So now I'm hundreds of dollars out and my vehicle hasn't left my driveway.Unprofessional, rude, unhelpful. I would NEVER recommend this scam of a mechanic to anyone in my beloved Hyattsville community.

I was so skeptical about using this company because I had never heard of them, but was in desperate need to have a coolant leak repaired. I called and spoke with Mr. Jhingo and he was very professional and upfront with me about this issue. We had our car towed to the shop the next day and we are forever grateful for their work! The car was ready when they said it would be, the cost was not exaggerated as with some other places I had checked with prior. No "new issues" came up when we left the car and most importantly he kept us informed every step of the way.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Jhingo auto werks is a very reliable and straight up mechanic shop. Three other mechanic shops mis diagnosed the problem on my Audi. Jhingo fixed the problem

Joseph fixed my cracked radiator and found other issues I didn t even know about, now my car is working super great! Very well-versed in his craft and works incredibly fast! Great service and friendly owners/staff. Came in to replace some parts and got what I asked without being upsold on unnecessary parts/services. The prices are good and favorable when compared to other shops (being much better than chain store prices). The parking is a bit difficult as there is little to no space on the shop grounds.

I bought in my beat up Subaru Forester with sensor light on, check engine light on, and a lift kit. It was quite a lot of work I could have easily bought a newer car but Joe is one of the mechanic who understands passionate car owners and auto restoration and he fixed EVERYTHING! Lifting, changing front and back O2 sensor, changing oil on the differential and regular oil, replacing all leaks. Other shops would have charge me twice as much. It s a place for people who loves car. I m going to come back if I ever need more customization. On pick up day, hey do u want slice of pizza? He and his assistant are great, down-to-earth people! Plus, he s so close to the neighborhood. You don t get any better than this.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

The worst experience ever!! This mechanic took over 3 months to fix an oil leak in my Subaru Legacy. After that I found a lot of leak coming from my engine again. I brought it back. He hold it for 2 weeks then he said there is an oil leak coming from a hoes back from the turbo, and I never done such a job and I don t know how to change it!!!!!!! After almost 4 months!!!! I am shocked for real. I was driving another car, so I wasn t paying a lot attention to the time. The worst part is not answering my phone calls. Every time, I had to drive to his auto shop to simply ask him about the car updates. Labor cost is so hight. He charged me $800 for valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. And what you guys will not know is he doesn t fix the cars. He doesn t even know how to fix car. I am not joking right now. And that was the reason for him to spend over 3 months fixing my car. He hires other mechanics daily to fix the cars for him. He only does the easy job such as oil change, break job..the most lazy mechanic I have ever dealt with!!!

Jhingo Auto Werks is one of the best mechanics I've been to in my life! I've been taking a BMW and Mercedes to the shop for a few years now. They have excellent service, pricing, professionalism, good timing/hours of operation, and on some days they have great homemade hot sauce to compliment the hot rod service!!! If you need your car serviced in the DC area, this is my recommended auto shop. They also beat the price of the competition and ensure your car will be serviced with care.

I had my car towed to the shop on a Thursday before leaving town for the weekend. I was having problems with the car starting and the alarm going off unprompted. They took wonderful care of my car while I was gone, did all of the work as promised, had it done by the time I got back and charged me a very reasonable rate. Highly recommend!

I have a 2015 Nissan Altima that was involved in a collision. When I took my vehicle to the Nissan dealership they told me that this car is considered a total loss and is not worth fixing, and also convinced me to buy a new vehicle. So I went on google and found Jhingory auto works and this was the best decision I ve ever made! As soon as I called Mr. Jhingo told me not to worry he will have his guys tow my vehicle right away to his shop. Today I am driving my brand new Altima that was brought back to life thanks to Mr. Jhingo and he replaced my engine, body work, radiator and starter all in TWO WEEKS!!!! You guys are a lifesaver I appreciate you and your guys that helped me get my vehicle back on the road. I recommend Mr. Jhingo for all of your vehicle needs and concerns!!!!

I came to get a repair. The response of the staff was good however after checking what needed to be repaired they walked off without saying anything to me and leaving my keys in the ignition with the car off. As 15-20 minutes went by I decided to ask what was the status of them repairing my car and they stated it would take too long. The owner was rude after I said no to the price that he suggested for the repair and the time I waited I could have went somewhere else. It may be a good place to go based upon the reviews however expect a more nice attitude only if you agree to the ridiculous amount of money they suggest you spend here.

Mr. Jhingo is the greatest! I called him the day before he fit me right in the next morning....he was very accommodating, they had my car fixed in less than 20 minutes and it s running perfectly! I am only coming to him for all my car needs...best out here!

Jhingo is the best! Super nice and helpful guy; was able to really quickly troubleshoot my interior lights and alarm triggering electrical issue as a door switch, and fixed it in a matter of minutes. I would not hesitate to come right back for any other repairs or maintenance!

This is a very unprofessional auto repair shop. I don't recommend it to anyone. He kept my mar from October 25th till February 15th without even be able to repair the car. It's a heartbreaking experience. Even the needed parts were recommended to him by me as he could not know where to get it. Being the only car and in this pandemic, I lost a lot of opportunities. If I have my ways, I will as the state to shut it down. He will not pick up your phone call nd never call you back. Beware!

Ignore the bad reviews. Most of those people do not know how follow instruction or to treat working people with respect, and so I imagine they were probably taught an appropriate lesson. Jhingo has repaired my non-running Mercedes ML500 to excellent running condition, and he fixed my sister's Nissan after 2 other shops failed. He has expert mechanical knowledge: he builds race cars, and I believe he was a military jet airplane mechanic in years past. On top of that, he is a highly entertaining, old-school gentleman. If you are the sort whose ego requires them to assume superiority over those who get their hands dirty for a living, while knowing absolutely nothing mechanical, move along. If you value mastery, this is your place.

The best mechanic I know he'll go out of his way to help with problems that you didn't even come in for. Jhingo he's the best I recommend him for all your car needs. These bad reviews are because the customer is mad that they bought a car and he told them it 1ould cost more to fix it then what the cars worth so that's why they write bad reviews

I had work done on my vehicle at Jhingo. I won't write a full review. Just because a person isn't satisfied with the services they rendered. Doesn't mean you won't be. I saw good and bad reviews. And I still had my vehicle repaired there giving him the benefit of the doubt. Don't judge off of other people see for yourself. Even if I'm not satisfied who's to say you won't be.

I definitely recommend Jhingo Auto Werks. Their service is clean and honest they do as much as they can to fix everything, even what you don't ask for, for a considerable price. I recently bought a mini copper and since the day I had to change the oil I have taken it to Jhingo Auto Werks. Also recently there was something wrong with my car that wouldn't start and i ask multiple mechanics how much they would charge me for fixing the car and they gave some prices of $240-$300, only for replacing the part to make the car work. but at Jhingo they charge me $250 for everything and they also fix some other parts that were wrong with the car.

Highly recommend. I called over because water had leaked into the trunk, I drove over a few minutes later and they fixed it (reset it in the trunk) within a few minutes, for free. Really nice guys. Would go back for sure.

JHINGO is the man! If your in the DC DMV area and you are not taking your vehicle to him, I'm sorry for you! Put it simply, I just began a 3k trip across the country with a 97 vehicle and said "just make sure it gets there." He did a couple of NEEDED things for safety and security and were almost there no problem! The "other" place tried to charge me for literally 12 things that didn't need to be done, i know engines enough to know, and Jhingo said there were 4 main concerns and handled them. Thats trust! That's a damn good mechanic at a damn good price!

We have been taking our cars, Lincolns (98-01) and a Dodge (89) truck to Jhingo Auto Werks for five years now and it is truly an experience. Joe is the Master mechanic's mechanic. Barbara's 98 Lincoln Cartier was T-Boned, driver side. I was driving. After an unpleasant experience with AllState we had it towed to Jhingo's. Both doors had been taken off, the driver side fender and rear driver side fender needed replacement or repair. The frame was bent and all the right side electrical wiring had to be restored. Joe did it all in three weeks. Runs like it did before the T-Bone.He's kept the 1989 Dodge 100 running despite the ravages of 26 years and my cowboy driving. He wants to put a new coat of paint on it and cover up the bullet holes but Barbara won't let him. She likes the rust, bullet holes and dings and dents her family members caused. It's an heirloom. Because of the bullet holes, Joe calls her "Gangsta Grandma."Joe is very personable, honest to a fault, and has the best stories about his Dad and his own life before Auto Werks.You want a professional, an expert who has mastered the repair of all vehicles, I cannot recommend to highly, Jhingo Auto Werks.

I went to Costco to change my tires and they didn t perform the service, and i went to Jhingo and he show me to try manually remove my tires and i did and i went back to Costco to change my tires, and they pneumatic driver couldn t remove the bolts.
