I recently visited Family Auto Clinic and had an exceptional experience. Jeff, the owner, was knowledgeable and attentive. The Maryland motor vehicle inspection went smoothly, and they ensured my vehicle met all requirements. The service provided was prompt and transparent. Jeff communicated the necessary repairs clearly. Overall, I highly recommend Family Auto Clinic and Jeff for their outstanding service.

The name Family Auto is quite fitting because this place is like family. I can remember taking cars here since I was a kid. We don t take our cars to anyone else. The service and communication is impeccable. Jeff and his staff do such a thorough job of finding the problem and solving it instead of just guessing and they don t try to squeeze extra, unnecessary money out of you. Family Auto puts a wrench in the stereotype of mechanics being untrustworthy because they are so honest, reliable and full of integrity. I had a problem with my car and Jeff kept searching for the answer until he solved it and he clearly communicated the delay in getting the necessary parts that saved me money. If you want reliability, superb communication and sublime service then I HIGHLY recommend Family Auto.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

After checking out a few other mechanics in the area, Jeff was the first one who took the time to listen to what I needed done and provide a reasonable solution at a fair price. Throughout the process of having my vehicle worked on, Jeff took the time to reach out and provide updates. When something unexpected came up, he had a solution and clear explanations for various courses of action. The vehicle was in great shape when I got it back. Professional, polite, efficient, fair, gives great advice. I don t live in the area. I took a car in to get state inspected before buying it. It had a list of items that needed attention before passing inspection. $ 1k worth of work. I though it was a good car. Jeff and the mechanics thought it was a good car. He advised to see if the seller would split the cost of repairs. It all worked out just fine. Thanks so much to the great folks at Family Auto Clinic.

Family Auto Clinic was absolutely amazing! I had a leak which damaged my transmission that I had no Idea about. My car is fairly new and this was detrimental. Jeff assisted me with my vehicle as well as keeping me updated throughout the duration of my repair work on vehicle. I recently received my car back and am so content with the work that was done. My car went from not moving to driving as good as new. I will definitely use this repair shop again for any future needs. Thanks again!Service: Transmission repair

The Family Auto Clinic was the first stop after we purchased our new vehicle. Took it there to be inspected. Jeff was honest, knowledgeable, and reasonable. There a bunch of liars went for inspection they told me the lug nuts won't come off I'm no mechanic I took every lug not off myself they failed me the first time cool I go back now all of a sudden I have more issues wrong with the car the same guy inspected my car when I asked him how u didn't see it the first time he said idk man horrible place don't go here for a Maryland inspection will get ripped off never stepping foot back in that horrible place

This is one of the best auto places I ve ever gone to. Jeff is amazing and he keeps it 100. He doesn t try to bs you and get your car done in time. I have gone and see him 3 times and every time the customer service gets better and better. Jeff will go out his way to do a follow up call once he done with your car to make sure everything is okay. 1 star is too much for this place.Its totally not recomended to go there.Very poor service.The owner(jeff) wants to take money,he only talks nice until he gets money,afterwards he will be very RUDE and find ways to charge more.Not a good place to go.Its a very bad idea to go for car inspection here,He will keep on postponing your appointment for reinspection and tells you reasons like u drove it 1000 mile after the first inspection and will ask for another 125 dollars.I have never seen a very greedy small business owner like him.i wish I had read all the reviews before I go there.Today 04 08 22,I just finished the inspection only paying 20$ in verginia.it was easy there.family auto clinic is a scam............

Jeff Sung, the owner is great, honest, sincere and stand behind his work. I have been to other mechanics and they try to make me pay for unnecessary things, but not Jeff, he is honest and he tells what's worth fixing. He is my mechanic for life. And, he's reasonable . I would recommend Jeff and his staff at Family Auto Clinic to all my friends and family. Great Service!!!

Jeff and his team are the BEST. I have been bringing vehicles to him for the past 6 years and have been consistently satisfied with service. He is clear about diagnosing/repairs and provides options for addressing issues. Customer service is top - Jeff is really great. Would give 6 stars if I could!

Jeff has been absolutely amazing helping me fix up my car! It wasn t in the best shape when I bought it, but he has fixed it for me several times in the months since it was purchased. He is extremely honest about his work, he is timely, and he is a friendly guy who I trust with my car. He has done everything from fixing my tires to changing parts in my engine to getting me a new battery. Went here for a quick safety inspection. On the way there, like literally a block away, I was attacked by a Langley Park pothole... So they failed me but explained that only because of a gash in the tire. So I took it to another place and got that handled, came back and was out the door with a Pass receipt. Jeff Sung has been working on my vehicles since 2017. His work is excellent. He provides detailed analyses of what the problems are. Then he takes time to explain which issues need to be addressed immediately and which ones could wait. I have had an opportunity to look under my vehicle so I could see exactly what needed to be repaired. He has worked on my cars, my mother's van and truck. His prices are reasonable. I have called Mr. Sung when I have been out of town and he has given me good advice about repairs needed. I highly recommend, Family Auto Clinic.

One piece of advice that my grandfather gave to my father who passed it down to me is to find a mechanic you trust. For me, Jeff at Family auto is that mechanic.I have exclusively used Family Auto Clinic for all vehicle maintenance and repair needs for the past six years. Jeff is honest, transparent, fair and delivers the highest quality work. I trust him implicitly as I know he consistently offers advice that is in the best interest of the customer.Recently my father-in-law, had a car issue but urgently needed to drive 6 hours. Jeff checked his car and assured him he could make the trip and even gave him notes to offer his home mechanic, rather insist the he get the work done immediately so that he could make the sale. My father-in-law was able confidently make the drive knowing that the noise he was hearing was not causing long-term damage.Another time Jeff was working on my car and it was not ready when I needed to pick-up my three year old daughter from camp, Jeff offered that I use his personal vehicle because he had a car seat installed and an uber would not. I was able to pick-up my daughter in time and return to a completely fixed car.I highly recommend Jeff to anyone seeking a go-to mechanic.

Family auto clinic has managed my commercial vehicle fleet for the last 13 years. They handle everything from oil changes to engine swaps. The owner is knowledgeable and will give you a fair assessment every time. He won t try to sell you services you don t need. I trust him with any type of car I ve brought him Japanese, American and European vehicles and he is well versed in all types of vehicles. I don t trust anyone else to work on my vehicles.

DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE.Jeff, the owner, is extremely rude, is only concerned with taking your money upfront, and acts like your only purpose is not a customer but a piggy bank for him.I went to get my car inspected. When it failed, he said i had 30 days and less than 1000 miles to get it fixed. When i brought it back a month later - 8/21 tp 9/21 (even though I called and tried to set up an appointment, he said i didn't need to), after wasting my time rechecking the car, the inspector simply shrugged and said it was one day over the time, and i had to get it reinspected all over again. When I called Jeff, he brusquely replied, "i'm not going to count out days for you," and hung up.Even when I first met him, there was no air of courtesy or respect. It's simply "pay me up front, and leave your car", get out and curt responses to questions. He's not about the customer at all.Find somewhere else to go, you are 100 times more likely to have a pleasant experience. And when dealing with the stress of cars, it's important to deal with someone who actually acts like they care about you.

Great Staff, Quality Work I had a inspection done on my vehicle and had a few minor issues to repair. When I returned for the reinspection the auto shop that made the repairs damaged my outer tire rod while replacing my CV Boot. Not only did Family Auto Clinic replace the tire rod they didn't try and upcharge me for the work. The other guys literally tried to get 600 dollars out of me !!!! They are fair, Shop typically gets packed so definitely go early my only grip was the $25 reinspection fee.
