Wilhelm Automotive is the only place I trust to take my vehicles for service or repair. Dave is an excellent mechanic and has even replaced an engine an older Hyundai a few years back and it ran perfect for years after that. Didn t even have to take it back for an adjustment. Highly recommend

Another Great job completed by Wilhelm Automotive. Best price around on tires with prompt service and car was returned on time as usual even with adding a few other jobs while there for service. I brought my van to Wilhelm Automotive to have the coolant system checked out. They diagnosed the problem and suggested that I have some other things done. I thought it would be safer to have everything done. Everyone was exceptional. I would recommend this shop to anyone. and Phil M

I needed to have a Maryland State Inspection done on a vehicle I had purchased out of state. I stopped in without an appointment, and the owner himself (Dave Wilhelm) performed the inspection while I waited. I stressed to him how particular I am about my cars, and he took great pains to be very careful with it. He delivered it back to me in excellent condition as promised. I was extremely pleased with the service I received there and would highly recommend this facility.

On our way North to a professional meeting in Philadelphia, we thought to stop for lunch in Havre de Grace. As we entered the main drag, the car started chugging along and losing power and finally stalled, and we coasted in to the parking lot of the local vape shop. Sorry I don t remember that name because the guys there were extraordinarily nice & invited us in out of the heat. I had just signed up for Allstate tow insurance - contacted them and learned earliest availability was after all the shops were closed. They recommended Wilhelm (who didn t appear in Yelp- which I will shortly correct) if I could get the car half a mile to their shop under my own power. fortunately, the car started up and we made it to their place.The staff and owner were great, and went out of their way to help us out. We had to leave the car & get a rental because of the time constraints of the scheduled meeting. Upon return, the diagnosis,while cautiously tentative (fuel pump) was correct and repair cost was very reasonable.A small oversight in the repair was promptly corrected, and we ve had no problem since.I would heartily recommend this shop for the excellent work and considerate and gracious treatment while we were under duress. Ask to check out Dave s truck- awesome.

Very satisfied with the experience.Walked in explained my situation with my Mercedes GLA 250 4matic. Set an appointment. Brought it in and they did all the work as discussed and at a rate I was happy with. My husband and have been coming to Wilhelms for awhile now and trust them completely with both cars. There is no other place we would go to. David and Sam are good people , enjoy talking with them . My car broke down on a Sunday and had it towed to Wilhelms and called Monday morning to let them know what happen. I did not have an appointment but they squeezed me in and fixed it the same day. Charged me 40.00 for oil change that I did not give permission for. Had started a BIG repair. That I stated I could not get done till Oct. Owner said it was miscommunication with his daughter that works front desk. I told her more then 2xs also told machnic. He said that it would be fine if I waited till October. Due to my income. The $40.00 I HAD to pay was all I had till the 1st of next mo.. I will take my car elsewhere.

We have been bringing our vehicles to Dave for years. With three kids who all own their own vehicles this has been a variety of issues through the years. I can assure you Dave is not only extremely knowledgable but honest, polite and professional. Sam is also always friendly, polite and helpful. I highly recommend them for all your car needs.

Having just moved to HDG I needed to have my vehicles inspected and find a new mechanic. After reading the reviews, I took the first car (the daily) to Wilhelm. It turned out I needed a couple of repairs, one moderate and one minor. David sourced all options and provided me with the best parts and plan. I usually don't write negative reviews, but after the experience at Wilhelm I felt compelled to share my experience. I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The lady who answered the phone took down my name and phone number, but nothing else - not even the make/model of the car. I dropped the car off the night before my appointment and could not see how to open the drop box because it's very dark in front of the building. Oh well, I dropped the keys through the key drop and figured they would call me in the morning since they had my name and phone number. After not hearing from them the day of my appointment, I called around 1:30pm to find out the status of my oil change. Nobody answered the phone so I left a message. Around 3:30 I called again since I still hadn't heard anything. I got to speak to Dave who proceeded to berate me for not following the drop off procedures. When I picked up my car the staff was cold and unfriendly. Their rudeness was only eclipsed by their prices. $107 for an oil change and tire rotation? Needless to say, I will not be going back. You can get a much better price and a whole lot better service going to Mr Tire in Aberdeen.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

Wilhelm is trustworthy and professional. They won t try to BS you into getting unnecessary work done like some other mechanics that I ve went to. They also will get parts at the best cost so you re not being over charged. I have been a customer for several years. I always get an honest opinion of what is needed and when. They saved the day on a tough repair several years ago that others couldn't do. The price was very reasonable. Wilhelm's knowledge puts them 2nd to none!
