One of the most unnerving things for me is to have to take my car to an auto repair shop, because many times I have been at the mercy of the mechanic. Well today I took my car to Columbo Auto Repair in HdeG, the owns were great. I explained what I needed and Mr. Lotharp and his son Chase quickly completed the work needed at a great price. Columbo Auto Repair is owned and operated by men of character and integrity. I am so impressed I have recommended their auto services to 2 people in less than 24 hours.

Excellent customer service and work. Always get the job done the first time. My car running great. Prices are reasonable. Services are done in a timely manner. I love this place. I recommend that anyone who need their car repaired without the run around and guessing games. Columbo is the place to go for a peace of mind.

Kevin and his team were phenomenal! I have an oversized vehicle which requires delicate handling, Kevin assured me they could handle the job. Not only did he do the repair fuel pump replacement but the turn around time didn t leave me stranded. I without hesitation would use again and recommend to others. Kevin was a lifesaver! We came from Pittsburgh ,PA and had frozen calipers. We could not leave until the vehicle was repaired. He was busy on a Fri afternoon but took me in and was done in a few hours and the price was very reasonable. Excellent service and a pleasure to deal with. When we are in the area again we will be sure to stop in and say hello. Fast friendly service at reasonable price!

I thought I had a really complicated issue with my vehicle, a Buick Rendezvous. Kevin, at Columbo Auto Repair, was able to put my mind at ease. First, let me say, his ability to diagnose the problem was 1st rate. The transmission was slipping. There were a number auto codes in the decision. This allowed me to chose the options. Should I buy a new vehicle? Should I buy a new a new transmission? Should I buy a rebuild Transmission. For me, this was a critical choice, because of my financial situation. This allowed me to decide how long to expect that the life of the vehicle could be extended, for the cost of repair. It was a good choice. The vehicle has run for an additional three years and an additional 30,000 miles. The owner seemed nice and even let us store our vehicle while we saved the money to get our engine replaced. But I am now paying for getting this shop to do a engine swap. Strut replacements, broken engine mount just to name a few. I had a trusted mechanic show me where they didn't tighten the bolts down and also forgot to put bolts back in. Engine mount bolts snapped because they weren't tightened actually. I showed up with one issue and gained many more because of negligence. I have 5 kids and they put my kids in danger. I am still currently fixing the problems they created. I do not recommend them.2 years down the road after getting an the engine replaced at Columbo. My engine is currently being swapped out again at a 5 star auto shop. New mechanic brought me in to show me how Columbo basically wedged my old engine into my car and it was being held in by one engine mount. Still paying for their mistakes nearly two years later. This time we have a trusted mechanic. Would never recommend Columbo to anyone!

My experience at Columbo Auto was excellent. Fantastic service, that fit within my budget! These guys have over 60 years of combined experience as mechanics, and it shows. I thought my repair would take days to complete, and Columbo was able to send me on my way within a few hours!

I have always received HONEST and FAIR estimates. They have always gone out of their way and above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The key loyalty factor for me was the fact they fixed my car in 2 days when another auto shop had my car for a month, couldn't fix, basically told me it was a paper weight, and charged me $1000.00 after the fact.I have recommended them to several friends and have never had a complaint for leading them astray.

My husband and I were very happy with our experience at Columbo Auto. Steve is a helpful, hardworking, trustworthy and experienced manager/technician who will go out of his way to fix the problem! I am so happy to have my car back working properly! I will recommend his auto shop to others!

I have a BMW and was told that he specialized in foreign vehicles. Well I took my car in for smoking issues and leaking oil, and for a basic oil change. When I picked up my car, I had a whole NEW issue when I was driving home. Almost IMMEDIATELY it started shaking and cut off. I took it back, he did something and said I needed a tune up soon. I'm omw home for the second time and get all the way to Aberdeen and boom it does it again. So I'm frustrated. I dont understand how my vehicle is ALL OF A SUDDEN doing all this. I wasn't going to tack it back but was told they had to fix it. So I did. I sat in that auto shop for 5 hours for them to come and get me to drive it to see what it was doing. That should of been the FIRST thing you did. And they sent me home with an unsafe vehicle and told me to come back. That's it. I took it straight to Midas. Not only did they find the problem. It's my mass air flow sensor, they showed me were it was and BOOM, I remember that peice. The mechanic at Columbo Auro dropped it and broke the clip off of it in front of me. I asked him was that clip essential for my car and he said no. I was told that the MAF sensor is very fragile and a drop like that would absolutely damage the sensor. I have taken time off of work for them to give me the run around. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for another shop.

We use to take our vehicles here when we lived in town and loved Steve. Recently we were coming through from Massachusetts and our car decided to die. We took it to Steve and not only did he take it in promptly but repaired it in a timely manner all at a reasonable price. Wish we could pack Steve up and take him to MA!
