Mike did an amazing job bringing my dad s car back to life. This 1993 RX7 was my dad s pride and joy. However, due to illness, my dad stopped driving it in 2017 and it sat idle for 6+ years. There was a lot that needed to be fixed, including some stuff that wasn t visible at first. Start to finish the process of rebuilding the motor and all the other things took several months. With these rotary engine cars you need someone with a lot of experience who knows what they re doing. It does take patience - this car is technically an antique! But it s running great and in a few weeks it will be for sale. I hope someone will get just as much joy from driving it as my dad did! Thanks, Mike!

These guys are experts on cars, but I used them to powdercoat the swingarm on my dirtbike. They did an awesome job. Attention to detail and not coating the parts that will mate up to other metal was clutch - and they knew to do it without me asking. Great to work with.

The team at Rotor Piston Motorsportz are an outstanding group of hard working and knowledgeable gentlemen they rebuilt my 1993 RX7, nearly doubling its WHP and give it a much smoother ride. The project took longer than expected due to the pandemic but the end result is a beautiful and fast car one which I had purchased when Mazda first created the 3rd gen RX in 1992. Compliments to Mike and his team!

This shop is not for those looking for a cheap fix. They are competent and have a good work ethic. They put a Supercharger on my husband's Chevy pickup and he couldn't be happier. Complete Fox suspension package with 2 inch lift. New high flow exhaust system as well. Totally transformed the ride and performance. Again not inexpensive but you pay for quality and the follow up has been good.

My initial post about this shop was quite positive but unfortunately there have been some recent rather troubling developments. My car was in the shop for just about two years and during that time I paid all the invoices upon request and on time. The car was delivered to me incomplete with the promise of completion and delivery of parts and wheels and tires that were paid for in full. Inexplicably, Mike began putting off delivery of the parts and services and then ceased all communication totally. The shop now owes me a significant debt and attempts to get Mike to deliver and install the parts have failed and he has offered no explanation or refund. Proceed with caution!

I met Mike 2 years ago after my son who was enlisted in the U.S. Navy fell while stationed on the USS Fitzgearld over in the Sea of Japan. Being the Rep of his estate, the Navy sent me everything to include his 1992 FD Mazda RX7. In Feb 2019 i had the RX7 towed to RPM for a total rebuild and I have to say never did i expect this as the end results! Mike when we started this journey 2 years ago, we sat and talked about our past navy lives, and you understood what the build of this car was about. Not only is it fire on the exterior but now under the hood as well. 550 wheel Xavier is looking down and smiling!Service: Auto engine tuning

One stop shop for all your rotary needs. Complete engine rebuild, powder coat, fabrication, tuning, everything you need. Had my RX8 race engine rebuilt and tuned by them. Had race wins and track record since the new motor back in the car. Also had my FD at the shop sorted out and put on the dyno. Mike is very knowledgeable about rotary engines and all RX cars in general.Services: Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

Took my sick RX-8 in for a engine rebuild and failing clutch, came out with a street ported street car with all the bolt on moods available. Cold Air intake, Epitroch Sohn Adapter kit, LS series coils and upgraded wires, braided oil lines, a new gauge cluster to accurately monitor engine vitals, cat deleted mid pipe, and catback exhaust with upgraded clutch. With parts in short supply and the public rediscovering a love for the Rotor engine (and purchasing lots of RX-7/8 that need new engines) , they were still able to get me back on the road. They provide excellent consultation for rebuilds as well as provide normal maintenance on all carsServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

My situation is rather unique, I have an old school Hotrod 1957 Chevy Bel Air with a Big block Pat Musi engine. RPM specializes in Rotary engines which is miles away from what I have. I visited the shop and met "Professor" Mike Quinn and TIG man Brendon Fowler, I think my first conversation started with me stating "I think I'm in the wrong Place". We spoke and I told them that I wanted a handmade full 3-inch exhaust system for the old Hotrod. They gave me a tour of the facility and showed me their collective talents with Fabrication, restoration, coating, performance and assembly/Dyno. I was quite surprised that they actually wanted to see and work on my car. Upon arrival of my car the guys treated it with kid gloves, and I had no issues about leaving it in their facility. We discussed the work I wanted done and after several suggestion from Mike and Brendon it was decided to remove the entire old system and go with a complete RPM fabricated stainless exhaust system, the was done at a very reasonable price point for both of us. when the system was completed, I was very impressed with their work and attention to detail for the exhaust system and some of the productive recommendations they made concerning the car. Future plans will include Holly sniper system and performance shock package. Although these guys are Import specialists, they also KNOW performance-oriented Hotrods! The RPM Facebook page contains the pictures of the build. I give my thanks and appreciation to the RPM staff.Well done, Gentlemen!!Regards. FrankService: Exhaust

If you want something quick and easy that can be installed in a day or two, RPM is great! I've known Mike since October 2019. Mike is an expert on cars. However, my experience dealing with RPM on the current project full rebuild & custom job is as follows; I haven't seen my vehicle since May of last year it appeared to be near the finishing point then. I've tried contacting the shop via phone during business hours for an update but no response. I've confirmed with Mike on the proper email for RPM and gave them time to review and get back to me. No response. When there is no communication between a project you have invested time and money into, being in the dark is never fun. I've been patient, and just getting periodic updates goes a long way in communicating. Until the lack of communication is remedied, I can't recommend RPM for Project builds.Services: Transmission, Auto body & trim repair, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Transmission replacement, Transmission repair, Auto body & trim replacement, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

Mike and the crew are very knowledgeable with what they do!When I called and inquired about a race engine build for my RX-8, Mike was upfront and honest about the estimated time of the build due to shortages and current shipping times. Michael was timely with updating me on the status of the build and what to expect next. He also helped me with pricing on a few items I wanted to have done which I am very thankful for!Once the build was completed, it took only a couple days to ship from Maryland to arrive here in Michigan; It came well protected.RPM is the way to go if you want a high quality engine!

Mike finished my car a few months Ago, full engine build. Large street port, dowels, studs, and high oilPressure. Motor runs strong went back for the a tune after break in made 380 on the waste gate. Going back soon with Meth, direct fire and boost controller. No complaints from me here. Also after messing with my AC the bracket for the PS and AC broke on me ( threads where toast) I asked mike that morning if he had one and he said come on in (on a Sunday mind you !) and he gave me one for free. As a customer Mike will have your back even after the fact. Give the shop a call and let them support you through your next build !!

Took my series 2 rx8 over to they guys for some upgrades(wheels, tires, ignition, exhaust, tune, coilovers). they did a fantastic job. Their recommendations are on-point, and happy to answer questions before and after. I actually consulted Mike before I bought mine, and they are happy to answer questions after your service is done. Only caveat would be their timing isnt the best(i.e it may take a bit longer than initially estimated), but thats a minor issue. Speak with them, they are good folks and will take care of your rotary powered car (or otherwise, yes they also work on piston engines too!)Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Oil change

There's a reason people from all over the Midwest and East Coast bring their rotary projects here. It starts with the fact that rotary shops are few and far between. Sure, you can go to the dealership, but you pay dealer prices and they do everything by the book, so if you want custom work or personal attention, you have to look elsewhere. And "elsewhere" might be in the next city or state. Lucky for me there's a team of rotary experts only about four hours away. Sure, it s a little far for an oil change, but when I wanted a reman for my RX8, I called Mike and his team at RPM. I had a good experience with them a few years prior, so they were the first and last call I made. It took some time to do the work, but I wasn't in a hurry and I felt better knowing they weren't going to rush the job to completion just to get the next job in. It was worth the wait. The car drives and handles probably better than it did brand new. Best part is service after the sale. Mike is always responsive and helpful. Even when he s off the clock, he ll take time to respond to texts or even give me a call if I have a question or issue. Kudos also to the guys at the shop. You can gather by just talking to them, that they love rotaries and are proud of the work they do. Thanks Mike and RPM!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

Mike and his crew at RPM definitely deserves a 5 star rating they are unbelievable in what they do their workmanship is off the charts such as fabricating, engine repair, electrical, tunning, powder coating, you name it they can do it and the knowledge they Bring to the table is ridiculous but I can t leave out their honesty and customer service is amazing they pointed me in the right direction with my 93 FD rx7 it had 425hp which other shop said that s all they could get and had other issues they couldn t figure out but RPM took it in changed a few things and turn that 425hp into 630hp reliable in no time and I already got plans to bring it back to get more done if you didn t get the hint THEY ARE BEST ROTORY SHOP AROUND believe me on thisServices: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto engine tuning

Awesome shop even better people. Mike and his team took care of my daughter s vehicle with skill and care that far exceeded my already high expectations. Mike knew how important this was to me and when he told me that he approached it as if it would be his daughter that would be driving it, I knew I picked the right place. He truly cares about the work he does and product he puts forth. He even sent me a message the next day to make sure my daughter was happy with what they did! Can t thank him enough!!

Mike and his team went above and beyond with a couple cars I built. I used their facilities to Dyno tune a GTR and 2Fast2Furuous RX7. Ryan did a great job working through some trouble areas I had tuning the RX7 on the street. They did an amazing job helping get parts sourced, fabricated, and powder coated within my compressed timeline. Mike even helped me during his day off to swap a transmission to meet a deadline I had to get a car ready to ship back to my customer. They offer some greta parts and services!

I found RPM (Mike) after searching high and low for a shop to repair some chassis rust on my Evo (Typical CT9A rear chassis location). No other shop seemed to have the time or patience to even give it a shot, but Mike offered to look at it without missing a beat. To my surprise, one of the RPM techs specializes in Mitsubishi s and owns an Evo himself.Brought the car in and it was torn down within a day. I received status updates and pictures almost daily and when something came up that was unexpected, we decided how to proceed together and to stay within the budget. I stopped by a few times to check some of the findings myself and each time I was invited in and never once felt like I was intruding. They have a solid group of techs.Normally I don t trust many shops to work on my car, for anything. After seeing their quality of work and how the RPM techs cared for my car like it was their own, I can easily say that I would highly recommend RPM to anyone in need of an honest shop! It s clear that they take pride in their work and always put the customer s needs first.Service: Steering & suspension repair

RPM is the best!! I had my car in with unknown issues. They were able to quickly figure out the issue. Karl did a big part of this over the phone with me just describing what was happening. Once they were able to really dig in they found the issue and then recommended multiple paths forward. I love the fact that they are honest about the work needed and up front about costs! I will 100% be back to RPM in the future and Karl in particular was amazing to work with. I highly recommend RPM and even if you are an expert just stop by and drool over the customers trusted at RPM. The lot is worth seeing! One look and you will know you are working with true experts!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Employed RPM to build an endurance race engine. Mike Quinn took great care in ensuring that the engine would be done in a timely manner with the accuracy that's required to build a race engine. Not only will I get the maximum output from the engine, but he'll use his experience to tune it once it's installed in the car over this winter. RPM has been there every step answering questions and advising the whole way. I couldn't recommend RPM enough for your rotary needs.

This is the biggest Rotary shop I've ever seen and it houses a great group of skilled and knowledgeable technicians who are all excited and motivated. If you can dream it they can make it here!My FD was down for 5 years but once I got it in the hands of these guys they knew exactly what was needed to bring my car back stronger than ever. I'll definitely be returning for even more go fast bits in the future.12/25/2022 Update: Car is still performing without any issues. Continues to pull hard and stronger than before it's visit to RPM!Merry Christmas
