Traveling from Maine to Florida in RV. Wife noticed low tire and found we had a slow leaker, loosing 30# per hour! Found McCarthy's with Google. Great reviews and super easy access off I81. Matt & John discovered leaky valve stem and got us fixed fast. Top notch professionals. Feeling safer now.

I was traveling I-81 on up to Scranton, PA passing through Hagerstown, MD when my air dryer blew out causing my tractor to bleed air faster than my compressor could replace it. I had to act fast to find a repair shop close by before I ran completely out of air and my brakes locked up. I pulled up my Trucker Path App and it showed a Volvo dealership just 3 miles away so I went straight there as fast as I could. Unfortunately the Volvo dealership was no longer at that location. FORTUNATELY, however, McCarthy Tire and Truck Repair was open for business. The dealership was relocated down the street so I had the option of either taking a chance with McCarthy or paying for a tow. I took a chance and I m glad I did. Everyone at McCarthy was professional, friendly and fast! They had me fixed up and on my way in less than 3 hours; superior quality work at a highly competitive price! I ll be adding them to my network of dependable repair shops and I will highly recommend McCarthy Tire and Truck Repair to everyone I know!

They will have my service for life! I went there for the first time yesterday and I met with Matt. This is the third mechanic I have went to for a faulty tire. It took Matt 15 minutes to figure out what was going on and repair. (Whereas I had waited 2 hours at another mechanic for them to tell me to just throw my tire out). Ever since I got the tire repaired yesterday, My car feels like new. I am beyond impressed. Not to mention Matt had an AMAZING personality and really knew how to make people feel at home while doing such great work. Trust me you wont regret going!

Not impressed. I ordered trailer tires for my RV. Was told that I would receive a call when they came in. Two weeks later I called McCarthy tire and they said that they sold my tires to someone else. They said that they would reorder tires for me on an expedite basis and call when they were in. Two weeks later I called again and they said that they did not have the tires and would get them from their Baltimore location. Two weeks have passed with no success. I went to another tire dealer and got the tires that I wanted in a week.

I will never come to this place ever again people here a very rude and unprofessional if I could I would give them 0 stars but it want let me it s so much I want to say bout this place Im just gonna say this please stay away from this place if u have to come here don t t let anyone disrespect you I had to stand up for me very bad business

Brought 4 white rims to their store. Brand new in the box and bought 4 tires to be mounted. They ruined the wheels. Argued with me that it was my fault before finding out they aren't able to work on painted wheels. They eventually gave me money for the wheels, but now will not work on my other vehicles, which I've taken there before. They say they only deal with commercial vehicles and tractor trailers. I drive by there daily and see cars in the bays being worked on. My friends had no issue getting tires from them. Seems like they've blacklisted me for a mistake they made. Who wants to do business with a company like that? It wasn't my mistake. I would not reccomend this place. Terrible service. Thats ashame because my first experience there was so different.

McCarthy Tire is the absolute best. The staff is friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. They are honest too, which is hard to find in today's businesses. I asked to have the synthetic oil changed in my vehicle, and the technician told me they could change it, but it was clean an unnecessary. They have patched tires and helped me pick new tires out for vehicles that were affordable and reliable. The staff from the Manager (Will), front desk (Matt) and technicians all go above and beyond. It is a wonderful business and I recommend them wholeheartedly for tires, and general maintenance.

Passing through the area and realized I had a "flat" tire on my Toyota. I can't even begin to explain how lucky I am that this happened right next to McCarthy's. They were very nice, professional, honest, and quick. They could have told me I needed a whole new tire, but they fixed the broken valve and sent me on my way. I wish there were more places like this! Thanks again, Matt!

I've purchased tires several times from McCarthy over the past few years for several vehicles. About a year ago we purchased tires for my wife's Nissan Maxima there. The Customer Service Rep recommended a great tire that was suited my wife's driving 'lifestyle' perfectly. It was a great recommendation and we have been very pleased with the ride and performance of the tires. My wife picked up a nail or screw and one of the tires had developed a leak. We were afraid that we would have to buy another tire; however, the professionals at McCarthy said they could definitely 100% repair the tire. The did the repair quickly and professionally and provided us with another excellent customer service experience. I will enthusiastically recommend the folks at McCarthy for your tire and car needs.

Great service and friendly staff. Recently came here and had four new tires put on my car (in under an hour), and they were able to fit me in for a wheel alignment. Will gave me the rundown on the tires I was getting, pros and cons, etc. and was patient and knowledgeable. Great customer service and good prices for both services.

Friendly, fast service every time! Prices are always great. We had to replace a tire for my father in law's truck with a way smaller, cheapest tire he could find type of deal, to my surprise they made it work. I highly recommend this be your first and only stop.

Great place to buy tires. I was undecided on what on replacements tires on my Honda. They were very helpful on tire choices. I got a quote for original equipment tires and two newer model tires. I was resigned to getting original equipment tires but after talking with the salesmen who explained the merits of the all tires and suggested I look at tire reviews online I went with the newer replacement tire.I can't be more pleased with the tires, price and service. Fast and friendly! I went in concerned I needed a new tire but they were able to repair it and did it right away. Very friendly people. I used them a year or so ago and remembered how great they were then. Will use again if I have any problems or need new tires!

From a professional view this shop is poorly managed. I purchased 4 new Firestone tires (mounted & balanced) from this shop on 3/18 for my daughter's vehicle based on the clerks recommendation. 10k miles later on 6/19 the car started shaking violently at high speeds. I brought the car back to McCarthy to have the tires rebalanced and when I left the car was still shaking. I took the vehicle to another shop who did an inspection and said that the tires were out of round. I took the vehicle back to McCarthy and the same clerk who recommended these tires said I would have to deal with Firestone directly cause I did not purchase Road Hazard protection. When I told her that the problem was not "Road Hazard" related and I bought the tires from them not Firestone she said she would have the manager take a look. The manager who worked on the vehicle then proclaimed that they re-balanced the tires again and put the car on a lift a did a "drive test" and said the shake was transmission related. So I took the vehicle to another shop to have the transmission inspected and they said there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Now at this point I've had the control arms, inner & outer tie rods, stabilizer bars, front struts, wheel bearings and CV axles on both sides replaced and the vehicle is still shaking. Finally take the care to NTB and they confirm what the other shop said that the tires were out of round. I buy a new set of tires and take the vehicle for a test drive and guess what? No more shaking. Now the people working at this McCarthy store are pleasant, but they are professionally incompetent and will deny any culpability or responsibility. For any mechanic to knowingly allow a vehicle with unsafe tires back onto the road for the sake of saving themselves a few dollars is reprehensible and McCarthy Tire Inc. should consider themselves fortunate that a major accident did not occur due to tire failure as they would have certainly faced litigation in that scenario.

I really enjoyed working with these guys. I have a Chrysler 300 with low profile tires. Will, the manager, gave me plenty of options, his recommendations and then even printed out the pictures of the tread for each of the tires to ensure I liked the look of them. At the end of the day my tires were really expensive but after comparing them to other companies in the area there was only one other company that was a little less expensive for the same tire. I still choose to have my work done at McCarthy because of the dedication I felt Will put into making my choice.Don't short yourself by going with someone that is a couple dollars cheaper!!! Small businesses need our help and support!!! This is one that you will really be happy that you did business with.

From the outside McCarthy Tire looks like a shop that's been around awhile. The building catches my eye every time I pass and looks as if it were built in the 50's or 60's and would make a perfect backdrop for a couple of old custom cars. To me, It says a lot about a small business to be able to compete with the big chains and online retailers. I stopped in today for my first time on a whim looking for a set of high pressure valve stems to go with a set of tires I bought to install with the help of a friend. I walked in was greeted kindly and they helped me out right away. They took me into the back opened up a big pack of high pressure stems grabbed five and gave them to me. They didn't ask for any money and when I tried to pay they didn't want it. I know it probably didn't set them back any to hand out a few stems, but sometimes small gestures like this can speak volumes about the level of service and care you will recieve as a customer. I'm impressed, and it was nice to be treated like a valued customer on the very first time I stopped in. I didn't buy my tires here this time but based on my experience today I'll make sure to stop here first next time. Thanks again for helping me out!

Ive had a flat tire on my step deck trailer this morning. I've called McCarthy Tire Service and the lady on the phone said that they have an appointment for 4 tires change at 9:30am and they would not be able to get me in right at the moment but only after an hour wait. However, after I got to the shop ( exactly 9:30am) the sales manager said that somebody will help me in a min. So tire was changed in 10 min and I was on the road. Great service!!!! Thank you guys.P.S. to the tall gentleman with a beard. Perhaps, I don't know more about tires than you do, however, it doesn't mean that I can't decide what should be done on the trailer. Any way, your are a cool guy.

Awesome repair shop!!!!!!!!! I was on my way to North Carolina and got two flat tires. McCarthy's went over and beyond to make sure I was well taking care of. They patched my one tire for free and found a local repair shop that had the tire I needed. They even offered to put it on for free. I so wish this place was in my NC neighborhood because I would recommend this repair shop to all my friends and family. It is not often you fine great customer service!

Paid these guys a visit for a wheel alignment and/or any needed suspension service for one of my vehicles (GMC Envoy). The place is clean and with plenty if parking. Had myself a coffee in the waiting area while they analyzed the vehicle. Erinn, the assistant store manager, was very knowledgeable. Tim, one of the technicians, was excellent: he provided me with a thorough explanation and with maintenance tips on how to remedy the slight alignmemt issue with the periodic tires rotation. He and Erinn explained my situation an viable options based on the results of the alignment. Lastly, Erinn gave me a discount in addition to the 10% military discount on top of that... what else can go right in one day! Also worth mentioning, Erinn indicated that not only do they do tire/suspension services, but they also succesfully perform complete automotive services (engine, mechanical, etc.). By all means, check these guys out for your automobile needs: you will love them too!McCarthy Tire Service in Hagerstown: Thank you for such a polite and one-of-a-kind experience!!!! Keep it up!

I was visiting Hagerstown to do some local history research at the library when the low tire pressure in my rental car come on. I was unfamiliar with the car and I was worried since snow was forecast for the next day when I had to drive back to BWI. I searched online to find a local tire shop that might be able to help and saw McCarthy's and the good reviews. I stopped by in the morning and they checked the pressure and filled my tires in less than 5 minutes.I stopped by based on the reviews so I'm happy to pay it forward. I was treated with courtesy and respect (which is not always my experience as a woman dealing with car-related issues) and I left feeling confident about my safety on the road.

Today, I went in to McCarthy Tire & Auto in Hagerstown, MD. This was a little of a drive for me coming to Martinsburg but became well worth the drive. Will Wootton the general manager went above and beyond for me. I came in for an oil changed and they noticed two screws in my back tire. He brought me out to show me that they were too close for the tire to be plugged and I needed to replace the tire. Will worked with me to ensure my safety and I was able to get new tires. He even added in a slice a pizza while I waited. This place deserves more than 5 stars in book. Thank you guys for everything! I'll be seeing you all again in the future for sure!

I will never EVER again take my car back to the dealership after taking my car here.This was definitely an enlightening learning experience I've learn from the very experienced and very knowledgable mechanic that worked on my vehicle today. Not only did he walk me through a whole and complete diagnosis of my vehicle, he made me realize that I should never ever take my vehicle back to the "stealership" ever again when he told me that they didn't even fix the major problem with my car when the engine light came on, in fact it made me realize I wasted over 750 dollars on easy fixable repair, which McCarty will resolve for not even as much as a quarter of that. The dealership didn't even resolve the issue, even misdiagnosed and wasn't aware about the issue and claimed it to be something else.I firmly believe the very best mechanics/technicians are NOT working at dealerships and McCarthy is living proof of that statement.

These men were my angels today. I would have been stranded with an infant and a toddler had it not been for them. They have earned a customer for life. I will never buy tires anywhere else again. It is so refreshing to see a business that is not just in it for the profit, but who truly cares about the customers. From the bottom of my heart I am grateful to them. I would encourage anyone who is looking for honest and fair tire sales to give them a call!

Can't say enough great things about McCarthy Tire Service of Hagerstown. I'm a driver for McElroy Truck Lines and have dealt with them a few times over the last year. I've dealt with the same gentleman at their shop and at the Lowe's Distribution of Hagerstown. Unfortunately, I can't recall his name. He's always professional and quick with the job at hand. Plus, he's personal and funny. I had to pay them a visit this past Thursday because of a blown airbag on our trailer. The metal plate above the airbag had also been damaged. The same gentleman made the repair very quickly so I could get on my way for an evening delivery. Thanks again for your great display of professionalism and work ethic!

Quick backstory, VW Towson serviced my car, before they touched it, it had a slight vibration at 70, after they were done, it shook the crap out me at 70. I took it back, the mechanic told me there was nothing he could do, the tire were balanced perfect. My tires and rims had barely 500 miles on them. They didnt do that before. So, I took it to McCarthy Tire. Talked to Will (he will take care of you), and explained it all. They took my car, and spent about 4 hours on it, now mind you they were shorthanded this day. But, they took their time and made sure my car was straight. He even said, run it, you still have a problem, bring it back, we'll get it right. My car was as perfect as it could be when they were done. Prices were are not expensive at all. Take your cars here, they will take care of you. I will.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Service is ALWAYS great and staff appear to be very knowledgeable when servicing my vehicle. I have taken my vehicle here for tires, oil changes, and as of today a new thermostat. Prize is also great as well.

I was very impressed. I recently had my oil changed at Mr. Tire- nearby and was not at all impressed. They did a great job, treated me great, and were great to work with.I will go back.
