Had an issue with my suspension. I called them up and was able to get an appointment that same week. Dropped my car off and they had the issue diagnosed, and repaired within a couple of hours. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable.Will definitely be going back to have them install some things on my car as soon as I can.

This place of business is incredibly unprofessional and untrustworthy. I have a file full of evidence as to why you should not use this business for anything related to your car. They only reason they continue to use the name AndrewTech is because they are riding the reputation of Andrew Yates and nothing more. The Shop manager is an absolutely arrogant and unprofessional. They charged me for higher end parts (specifically an all aluminum radiator) and installed a basic replacement radiator with plastic ends. There is absolutely no telling what other parts they lied to me about. They where very quick to pull out the motor that was in my car when I dropped it off and I never saw the motor since. These guys are a bunch of lying thieves and I would not recommend them if they were the only shop in the state of Maryland. Avoid them at all cost. Attached are pictures of the parts they were going to install in my car and tried to charge me $13k+ for.

The benefits of Specialization in Subarus that a dealership would have, but more personable and flexible like a smaller business. Jobs I ve gotten done here include replacing timing cover seal, resealing oil pan, and installing a radiator, as well as smaller jobs like routine oil changes and replacement of windshield wipers.Definitely recommend!

When my Subaru needs attention, this is where I take it. They fix it, stand behind their work, and keep me informed the whole way, good or bad. Makes life easier when the shop takes care of you. Keep it up!

2022-10-18 update: Still coming here, still amazing as ever.2022-05-20 update: I'm still coming here for everything related to my Subaru and they are still absolutely amazing as ever.Before I start this review, I want to mention that Andrewtech did NOT ask me to write this review. I am usually not one to leave reviews because I'm lazy, but my exceptional experience at Andrewtech has compelled me to make an exception and write a detailed review.I came to Andrewtech after reading about them on NASIOC forums. I had recently purchased a 2009 WRX that was in poor shape and was beaten on by the previous owners. Andrewtech set me up with an amazing build, dealt with my impatient self by answering any and all questions I had over the phone, and were always very kind and friendly towards me. In my opinion, their labor charge was incredibly fair given the work they did on my car. Suffice to say, I will be continuing my relationship with Andrewtech and will be bringing my car here for any and all work/maintenance it needs for the future.

I went to Andrewtech because of its name, but I learned a lesson that a name means nothing. I sent my STI there and hope to get a specific CEL resolved. First time, it took them a day to get back to me after I dropped off the car. What they did was to clear the engine code and call it the day. The same CEL came back no surprising. I called them and express my frustration and the person called Mason told me they cannot refund because their tech spent time on my car. Well, I am pay for the service to get the car fixed not your tech's time. A sign of incompetence. They asked me to drop off the car again on a Monday. I asked if they can finish the work within that week and I got a yes answer. In reality they did not. After picking up the car, that specific CEL seems resolved but the car now has two brand new CEL corresponding to oxygen sensor. I am disappointed

I am a bit torn on them. I am not questioning their work. They've performed work that seems fine. I've had major work completed by them.On my last 2 visits I was lied to but the GM.1st time. I was told that the repairs would cost between $7-8K and that it would take a couple of weeks. Over a month later I was able to pick up the car. I come in and am told the bill was a little over $10K. I was never told of the increased costs. In the end there wasn't much for me to do. I was happy with the work but went about my merry way.2nd time, I was in for "minor" work. During this work, they discovered all sorts of other problems. I can't question whether these were legit or not so let's assume they were. Costs kept creeping up. GM calls me to tell me that it would cost $4300. Ouch!. I was expecting $1500. I asked to think it over. I call the next day and begrudgingly tell them to go ahead with the repairs.When I go to pick up the car. GM said that they went ahead and charged my card on file (hmmm). He hands me a receipt for $5K. I asked about it and he claims he never said $4300.So between the 2 repairs, I was charged about $3K more than they told me.

I brought a sweet low mile 2003 Forester XS I got a good deal on to Andrewtech for head gadgets. I told them that I wanted them to basically do everything to it so the car will be reliable as possible while the engine is out. I spent $4,500 to get a ton of work done and five years later I have zero regrets. They even sent me pictures of the block/piston heads when they got it out which was cool. They were quick, great communication. I never had to go back for anything. No leaks or problems at all. I'd go back to them for sure.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Absolutely the best place you can go if you own a Subaru and need general maintenance/custom anything. Great communication and staff. Kept me updated throughout the whole build process with pictures to show the high standard of work that these guys do. Cannot stress enough how this shop is the only one I 100% trust with my WRX. I would avoid ordering from here. I ordered what was listed on their website (1 single head gasket). I had to follow up on the third business day to discover they only want to sell them in pairs. Wasted 3 days, and no one who works there appears to care or even notice.

I had my vehicle in here for a motor build and tune and am very satisfied with the final outcome.Mason, Sam and Riyaad were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating when it came to scheduling, questions, etc...I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of vehicle maintenance or project builds.I would definitely return for any future projects that I have.

I ve been coming here for about a year now since owning a Subaru. They are extremely knowledgeable, and the prices and services have always been excellent. These guys are fantastic! As a shop owner who lives over 1000 miles away from my mom. Having a shop that she can trust is essential. Knowledgeable and professional. Working with the staff at Andrewtech makes you feel comfortable and like you are being well taken care of. I bought one of my childhood wants (WRX) and currently have them doing my build out. With a project this big(and costly) you want a group of people who have what it takes to be above just getting it done....but getting it done exceedingly well. Look forward to a great comradery and partnership with one of the best Subaru specialists period.

If your looking to get your car tuned I 100% recommend. There tuner is super cool and extremely informative. They spent 3 hours tuning my 2013 sti and im extremely impressed with how much better it is running and how they were able to get more power out of it. The gentlemen upfront are extremely friendly and always willing to answer any questions you may have. If your looking for an all wheel drive tuning place andrewtech is the place for you.Service: Auto engine tuning

I can HIGHLY recommend AnderwTech Automotive. They have built me a stage 2 Turbo FA20 and have stood behind all of their work 100% without exception. They have installed all of my suspension components from Pedders 2 way coilovers to bushings. best Subaru shop in DC areahopping back in to update my review.Andrewtech is pricey. Way more expensive than any other shop I have uaed. But what is more expensive? Taking my car to "cheaper" shops for "simple" work that is done so poorly it needs redone the next year so I pay double.Andrewtech has fixed not only issues with our cars to enthusiast levels of perfection but they have also fixed things I had paid "cheaper" shops to repair that went wrong soon after.Both our Subarus have been through this shop and the results were nothing short of transformative. They made my 13 year old car better than it was new off the lot. I hope to get another 13 years out of it and with Andrewtech turning the wrenches I probably can.I do wish they were not so expensive though but the high price is cheaper in the long run.

Brought my car in to have a few upgrades put in, and got a compression test done just in case. They stated the test came back very low on cylinder-4, and suggested dropping in pistons without honing the block. This sounded suspicious especially considering the car exhibited no issues. So I got the compression test done at two other places (Agile and Gear One) just to make sure, compression was perfect on all four cylinders. When I advised the owner, he did nothing to make up for this deceitful act. I'll never bring business here again, and suggest everyone a very rigid, "Stay away!"

Honestly one of the most knowledgeable shops around. Don't know where my Subaru (and my wallet) would be if it wasn't for them. Their ratings accurately reflect their service and professionalism. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to put work into their car or fixing their car.

Please see facebook review, but in summary basically did not start working on car when they said they would and took a couple hours longer. Added false charges because they needed to "fix the boost leak in order for it to be safe to drive", however, they also told me they couldn't identify any boost leaks because of the crack in intercooler which is fair but why charge to fix the boost leaks if that was the case. On top of that they broke the clip connected to the headlight for the front bumper, so now the front bumper will not go on properly. While it was there they also apparently stalled and over-revved numerous times to get the car moving. Do not recommend at all.

Whoops, didn't realize I had not yet reviewed Andrewtech!Probably the most knowledgeable and welcoming shop I've taken my Subarus to. Barring any emergencies, I only ever take my car here. The whole crew is really good about keeping you informed while they work on your car. Quick to respond to any additional questions I have over the phone or Facebook, and it's always fun seeing the other cars in the lot when dropping off. I make a 30mile to Andrewtech but it's totally worth it, knowing the quality of the work.This shop is great if you are a bit of a gear head or tuner, as they handle modified cars with ease. Not much else to say other than that. Tenouttaten

Been supported by Andrewtech for many years, from my personal cars to my race cars, both Subaru and non-Subaru. Honest numbers for estimates, easy to talk to and get the message across of what needs to be done as well as calling me back of unforeseen issues. They always call me to let me make the decision of what to fix and repair as well as recommending. They have my business because they work on having a customer relationship with me than just "work".

I applaud to Andrewtech Automotive.Andrewtech Automotive is the best shop I have been to so far hands down!I immediately felt welcomed. Sam on the phone was professional, courteous, made me make the decision to come in!I walked in and Sang took care of me. Easy to talk to, easy to ask questions, told me everything I needed to know about the car. If you have any questions, these guys will DEFINATELY take care of you.Labor was inexpensive comparing to other shops.If you need your Subaru worked on, Andrewtech Automotive is the best place to go. I recommend making a reservation first as this is a very popular shop amongst Subaru owners.Phenomenal Job!!!!

These guys know what they do. This has been my go to shop for the last 7 years, and 3 Subarus later, I am still going there. Sam (the owner) and Riyaad are true to their word, never tried to upsell or make unnecessary repairs or any other BS. If some repairs may be covered by the warranty at the dealer they tell you that upfront! so where do I start??!!! Andrew tech is the best. hands down the best shop I have been to. I drove 4 hrs to have them work on my wrx and would still drive 10 hrs of I had to. that's simply how great they are. they are honest about the whole process and let you know everything that is going on. I brought my car there for a full ppg transmission build, stage 2 clutch and a ton of other engine mods. I arrived Thursday morning and they got the car done Friday afternoon! let me repeat that they rebuilt my trans and did an extensive amount of mods in about 2 days. not many shops can do that and do a good job. Sam and his crew are like no other and if you have a subaru this is the first AND LAST place you should go to. stop looking for a better deal or closer place, I already did for you!
