TL;DR - When you need it done right and that's the bottom line; this is your place hands down. Just be patient they take their time to make sure it's done right. That said, work done right, will never be the lowest cost.Long version:Date of Service: July 2023The situation:I brought my Dodge Ram 2500 series truck for a state inspection. The truck was in very good condition and their inspection found the same conclusion with a few things that needed to be addressed. They were flexible and allowed me to take my truck back for a trip we had planned and I brought it back to them the following week.Areas of excellence: The work performed on the truck was impeccable. They were honest about the work, even with an item I surely thought would have been a state inspection issue, they told me that it wasn't needed for the state inspection and suggested ideas on how to address that particular defect. There was one item that we disagreed on and found a reasonable path forward to resolve the issue. My star rating reflects the level of professionalism, quality of work, and integrity performed. The staff is kind and welcoming. I never felt disrespected during our interactions. I will recommend their services to others and use their service in the future.Areas of concern/improvement:Here's my only hang-up with the shop. I'm the type of customer that needs an occasional update, not a daily update. Just once every two days I need a text or phone call, maybe an email letting me know what the status is. I take partial responsibility for this because I did not communicate how frequently I wanted to be updated, and how I wanted to be updated on the status of my truck. I just expected this shop that I've never been to before to communicate the way I expected. This was an incorrect assumption. That said, I think an area, and frankly the only area of improvement in this experience would be an option on the intake form for how frequently and by what method would the customer like to be updated on their progress. Updating daily isn't realistic and I don't think anyone in their right mind would expect that. That said, if there are going to be delays for parts of staffing, it eases the customer's mind when they know what's going on.Closing thoughts:Just a few items that would have made the TL;DR too long. This shop is popular and thus busy. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the best choice. You will need to wait for your service or repairs to be completed. The trade-off is, that it will be done correctly and at least as good as OEM if not better.The second point I alluded to earlier is, good work isn't cheap. In thinking about this review I concluded this is akin to seeing a surgeon for a cold or flu. They 100% can take care of you, but you probably could drop by urgent care or take a look on WebMD. This shop is the top of their class for work and craftsmanship, I can appreciate that and there are absolutely times that I want that level of service. But, if the work is something you can do or is simple work that any shop can do (changing light bulbs, oil changes, alignments, etc.) you may want to consider doing the work yourself or having that other shop do that work and leaving the sensitive and challenging work to Professional Auto & Truck Service.

We had been having issues with our truck and other shops just kept charging us for repairs that were either not done correctly or they did not do them at all. We found this shop and they were over the top professional, fast and courteous. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix it quickly and affordably. We highly recommend this shop and will only use them going forward.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

It is very refreshing to see that there is still a business out there that takes pride in its work and cares about the customers that they service. We have been to the shop twice and could not be more impressed with our experience. This is a family owned buisness that preforms superb work. I almost want something to happen to my rig just so I can stop in and visit with these guys haha. I really can't say enough good about them. We were stranded in an Rv on Easter weekend in Frederick. The owner worked us in first thing Monday morning and quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired what was a minor problem that would have become a serious one. He could have easily misrepresented the problem and charged us a high fee. But he is an honest, honorable man who treats his employees well and it shows. Highly recommend!Service: Brakes

I've taken two separate trucks here to be repaired when they broke down. I had one towed and the other I personally drove there myself. When my truck was towed there recently, they notified me that they received it! The workers here and the owner, Dean, really care about helping! They fixed both of my trucks efficiently and explained to me the costs of the repairs as well as what they found broken when fixing them both. I honestly could not find a more affordable and reliable place to take my trucks. Both times I picked the trucks up I didn't know how to thank them properly for their services and how much they were helping me and my family by providing us with a safe vehicle. Thank you again!

I have several complaints but I will narrow it down to just a few. These guys hit my truck for well over 9 days for a job that should have only taken 5 hours maximum, every day I received a different excuse as to why it wouldn't be complete. Then they would not give me any good communication so I can plan to have a driver come pick it up. I lost well over $6,000 of Revenue and a new driver because I couldn't get any real time until on when my truck will be fixed. I will never use these guys again, not to mention they charged me 20 hours flavor but most of that was just pushing my truck out the way so they could complete other jobs

The repairs were done timely. Everyone was nice and accommodating. The bill was unnecessarily high due to last minute part ordering even though they had two weeks to order. This added 40% to the parts cost.

We have Ram 5500 cab chassis and we went to Professional Auto for bed and 5th wheel installation.Dean and his team did a fabulous job .My truck looks great and we are extremely pleased happy!! .I would absolutely recommend Professional Auto for your truck service.They also did DOT inspection for my truck and trailer .They are called Professional Auto for a reason they are very professional, friendly and honest..If you want the best truck service spot Professional Auto is the place to go.Services: Transmission, Body & Trim

Great hidden treasure for a mechanics shop. If you want a professional job done right you should bring your vehicle's here! A big chain shop could not figure out why my check engine light was staying on. This shop identified the problem and fixed it the right way.

This is my go to mechanic for my Peterbilt! Dean and his guys know there stuff and are always straight with you, I give him all the work I can!!Best place to get your truck worked on! Still my go to a year into business!

Honest and straight forward. Other shops in Montgomery county not only cost twice as much but are far less honest. It's worth a tow if it's a serious fix for your truck. They fix light duty trucks like my f350 dually, but I see larger international and Detroit diesel engine there too.

Great service! Dean went over every detail of my truck's 55,000 mile service and trans-flush with me, and I drove away feeling confident that the work was done right. Definitely be back here!

They got my RV in quick to get it MD inspected. Very friendly and flexible. Even stored my RV in Garage overnight to protect it which was much appreciated.

This place will rip you off professionally LOL. Just an example. He made a air hose at NAPA for $40 and charged me $268 for it. Air dryer at near by store he sold me at $534. The store nearby sells the air dryer at $230. If you want to get yourself ripped off majorly that s the place to go. If you have doubts I have his invoice. Contact me
