I highly recommend hometown auto. When I worked in Finksburg, many of my coworkers and customers went there to have their car serviced and everyone was always pleased. I typically do not give recommendations but the proof is in the 20 years of repeat business that I personally witnessed.

Ray and Darren are always very pleasant and helpful. I saved over $700.00 on a couple repairs that needed to be completed before my truck would pass Maryland State Inspection. They have done several other jobs for me and the family. Just an overall great experience and the team there is amazing! Replaced tie rod ends, did a wheel alignment, Md. state inspection, and balanced tires for $700.00 dollars. May sound high but costs and liability for places like this have to be taken in to account. I felt the price was reasonable, and the service people were awesome. Shout out to Ray! Took my Chevrolet Cobalt in because there was a little vibration when driving over 55 mph. I took it in for an alignment in the morning and it was completed ahead of schedule. I ve been bringing my cars to Hometown Auto Repair for years and have been extremely satisfied with my service. They are trustworthy and excellent in diagnosing both minor and major repairs. The rear differential of my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 was making an ever increasing amount of noise and chatter. There was also a constant sensation of driving on a bumpy road that i thought was caused by one or more of the wheels being unbalanced, but was in fact due to the rear dif deteriorating. They offered several options including a new remanufactered rear, or an in shop rebuild. We settled on the in shop rebuild as the first option was more then I wanted to spend. They supplied me with a loaner vehicle, which was greatly appreciated. They texted every day with updates, and several days later texted me letting me know about a third option that had become available which I opted for, a used rear. This fit my needs perfectly and also showed me that they were looking to give me the best "bang for the buck" even though we had agreed on the in shop rebuild which would have netted them more revenue. Hometown Auto is where I get my vehicle serviced because I know they are an honest shop and will do what is in my best interest. To me that is priceless.

I really can t say enough good things about this place. I recently moved to the area and stumbled upon the owner at a local business. Needed some work done on a car I had just purchased. Ended up being more work than I originally expected, but Darren kept it straight with me. Never got the idea he was trying to take money from me like other shops do. He included pictures in the report, allowing me to better understand what needed to be done. The work was done in a timely manner, and they got my vehicle to pass inspection. Super professional and honest people. It s hard to find a shop you can trust, but I definitely will be trusting Hometown Auto from here on out!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

We purchased a used truck here and were very pleased with the friendliness and knowledge of the various vehicles on the lot shown by Darren. We were able to test drive several different vehicles before choosing the truck. Darren had the coupleminor issues taken of, the truck was washed and cleaned, ready to go when we got there for pickup. Great experience! We look forward to having our service work done there and when it's time for another vehicle working with Darren again. Thank you Hometown Auto.

These guys have been great! With everything from my truck to my lawnmower tune up they have taken care of it all. The prices are much better than any competitor I have seen, and they are very open and honest about work needing to be done. I have found my mechanics for life. I never have to worry about the job being done correctly.

I have been a customer of Hometown since 2012. Both myself and my family have purchased three cars and have had maintenance work performed on numerous cars. We have always been very happy with the quality of the work performed and the expertise of the staff. If you want a repair shop that you can trust, take your car to Hometown Auto!

Historically I usually don't go to mechanics unless I have to. The guys at hometown auto have always been accommodating to my needs and have been honest about their repairs. In fact they almost make it too easy to bring my car in if I'm having issues. If something needs to be fixed they will let me know the part and the labor beforehand. They also communicate through email and text which is nice.

The team at Hometown Auto operate at the highest level that I have worked with in many years. Great customer service - incredible knowledge and will provide what ever support you made need to include Pick up and return or provide you with a loaner car during your repairs.Cost estimate always provided before they even start repairs. Darin principle owner create an atmosphere that is conducive for a successful business and the team is validated by the work they perform. BEst in my area.Congratulations:)

When you need to get a vehicle fixed. This is the place. My 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel now has 308,000 miles on it thanks to the Hometown team. The work they just did will get me at least another 100,000.You ask me how do I know? Well let me tell you.....upper and lower ball joints. Upper trailing arms on the front axle. A carrier bearing on the drive shaft (it broke before I could get it fixed so they had to come tow the vehicle). front brakes. Front propeller work for the 4x4 on the front axle. Upgraded steering stabilizer to a double.Work on the rear axle. You ask me what could they have done to the rear axle? You see in 8.14.2020 my 13 year old son and I did a brake job on the rear brakes. And ended up putting a Banks diff cover on kit kicks but! Super excited about it) we'll there was a puddle of oil at the diff. So I thought we messed up. NOPE! There was a RUST hole in the axle. Hometown fixed it. I've got about 250 miles on the repair with no issues so far.Oh and then there was the 308,000 mile rear leaf spring bushings. They were all used up. They got replaced too.The truck rides like a new truck. They even got the shimmy shakes out of the front end that I've been chasing for 90,000 miles.So you ask me how do I know I'm good for another 100k? Cause they did almost the same work the last set of tires I had them put on 82,000 miles ago.I was researching new tires. Could not find anything that was rated over 50,000 miles for that truck. So I called Hometown and asked Ray when did they put those existing tires on. His answer was 82,000 miles ago. I said get me another set. They were awesome! Toyo tires. On an 8,000 pound truck that is driven spirited. Not bad!The team at Hometown is just down right amazing. I cannot say thank you enough.Thanks guys!Andy.PS. I tow an 11,000 pound travel trailer that is 31 feet long with this truck. And some other trailers too. Honest, dependable, reliable and reasonably priced service by highly qualified mechanics. Hometown Auto capably maintains three of my vehicles of various makes and models. They have saved my wife and me hundreds of dollars below dealer estimates, and -- unlike other garages -- Hometown Auto does not recommended unnecessary work, even when dealing with unsuspecting female customers! I highly recommend Hometown Auto for all of your automotive maintenance needs!
