I can t express how happy I am with the service I got from Essex Auto Repair. I had a dead battery. They came to my house confirmed that gave me a jump then took the car with them. Replaced the battery and terminals and brought back in just a few hours. The price was more than fair and I was happy to write the check. They were so nice, polite, competent. I certainly recommend them for whatever your car needs. BTW I m going to use them for tune ups and any other car needs I may have. I am so grateful for all they did.

First time doing business with them they told me it was only going to take a week to fix my car. Now it's going on 3 weeks and nobody's has called me back about my car

Needed a wiper blade motor replacement, offered to get me in right away, replaced with new. Very nice customer service, explained everything. Would recommend.

They came to my house, confirmed the issue with my vehicle and scheduled the tow all within 15 minutes of contacting them. They quickly resolved and went out their way to ensure I had my vehicle same day. They were very professional, trustworthy, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Do not take your car here if you care about it. Went there for a simple brake pad change brought my own brake pads and all. Three Lugnuts were not put back on my tire and my caliber fell off while I was driving. Took my car to a shop a few days later after hearing noises and they told me that my brake pads were installed incorrectly they couldn t even believe it.

My car engine was totally damaged and needed to be replaced. They purchased engine and put it on with reasonable price. The car is running smooth and they followed up after 14 days to make sure everything is going well. I will go back to service my car with them and I recommend their service. I can t speak highly enough about the service I just received with this shop! I am an avid review reader and truly feel you can get a great idea of what to expect if you know how to interpret what people write in their reviews. No need to interpret with this one!! My service was amazing from start to finish! I called yesterday near the end of their day and had to leave a message. Unexpectedly I got a call back in just a couple of minutes. I believe it was Josh that I spoke with and from the first moment he was nothing but great. He listened to what was wrong and without hesitation asked where I lived. Conveniently I live only around the corner from the shop. I explained that my car has no power and I likely need a tow to get my alternator fixed. He offered to just drive over right then and see what he could do to help me get it started. He and Paul were at my house in minutes. Couldn t get it to start with a jump so Josh drove back to the shop to get a battery pack. Gets back in no time, gets my car started and he drives it back to the shop. All to help me avoid having to pay a towing fee!! Keep in mind they were trying to leave for the day! I then get a call today before noon telling me what s wrong and my estimate so that I m not shocked by the cost at the end. Then they call me before 3 to tell me my car is good to go for less than the original quote but still having done all the things he told me he was going to have to do. For the record I did the research on the price between a few random shops and a couple mechanic friends I have and I was told I got a really fair deal on the work. My poor car that was sitting dead in my driveway was back to new in less than 24 hours without having to pay a towing fee, I paid less than the original quote, was told by other mechanics it was a good price, and the guys came to my house to help me out!!! I couldn t have asked for better service!! I completely recommend them and can t say thank you enough to Josh and Paul and the whole team at Essex Auto Repair and Towing!! Awesome shop! I checked out google because we had just moved here, and saw that this shop had awesome reviews, so I decided to go here! I got my car towed from triple a because it wouldn't start late in the day on Monday and they had it done by 4 pm yesterday! I got a new alternator, pulley and belt, they even worked with me on the price to make it more affordable. I also didn't know that it was cash only, and didn't have enough to pay my bill and since I walked there they let me take my car to get cash and come back! How nice is that!? I've never had a shop EVER do anything like that. It's a very family oriented neighborhood shop that makes you feel like you've known them your whole life. They are very nice, trusting and appreciative of your business. I know that it has to be hard to compete with 4 shops on one corner, especially since they don't have a street facing spot, but you will not be disappointed if you choose essex auto! They really make you feel like they are thankful that you brought your car to them and they're willing to work things out with you to make it as easy as they can for you to get your car taken care of. It's only been one day but my car drives like a dream! All of the issues that it had before I brought it in are fixed, it sounds amazing and feels great to drive. Will 100% be back!

I just had my fuel pump replaced here. My truck is running awesome. Prices are more than fair and the quality of the work is great. Can't say enough good things about this place.

He is a fast talker and a big get over .He had lost my keys to my car and didn t want to tell me . Got a regular key made for my car and the police called me someone found my keys in cvs store . They were there for 2 weeks before the store reported it to the police. Never again will I ever take my car to this place. Also took my spare tire out of my car for what reason I don t know.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have never been so disappointed. I sent my car in just for them to give it back to me with a dead battery. Said once I buy it he'll put it in for me he never contacted me back or cared to check in

I've known Paul and Josh for many years as I have been doing business with them. With Paul you get exactly what he promises, integrity, honesty, great service and fast turnaround. Josh has followed his father's example in that he delivers the same work ethic and always has a smile on his face. These guys have worked on over 10 of my vehicles within the last 20 years and I couldn't be more pleased. Now with their new towing service, they have the perfect one stop shop for all of your mechanical needs that will keep you on the road with confidence and the safest feeling ever. Absolutely the best towing and repair shop in all of Baltimore County!

Paul is AWESOME!!...Any problem I ve had with my Pontiac Torrent he always make provisions to check it and fix it the same day. Their prices are affordable and reasonable. The rest of the crew are always polite and helpful as well. I will not let anyone else work on my car!

I have a 1993 Honda Accord and Paul and his family were very nice and quoted me a good deal. Fixing my radiator that had holes and even pulling out my frame to help the hood stay down. I plan on using them again in the future and any person that I can recommend to him I will they were AMAZING!!!!

These guys are THE BEST!! Thank you Josh and Robbie and the rest of the guys for your honesty and quick response in fixing my car. I took it to get an oil change and that place said I needed all this work done, after someone told me to take it to Essex auto and towing they checked it over told me what I really needed they had my car back to me in 1 day, Great work, resonable prices, If your looking for a mechanics THESE GUYS. are the answer. This company was the best tow and also best mechanic shop I ever had to deal with I called for a tow on i95 and josh promised me he would have me and my child off the side of the road in 10 minutes and was there in 5 then he let me know they also offer mechanic services . So he introduced me to Paul the owner of Essex auto repair & towing. All I have to say is Paul is the best. I will never have to worry about having to find a trustworthy tow company or a auto mechanic these are the guys you want to deal with BEST SERVICE I EVER HAD thank you guys so much

I spoke with robert on a panic about my car. He assured me that he would be by in the morning and he showed up on time. He quoted me a price and i was a little short and without hesitation he looked out. Him and his team went above and beyond to fix my car and then told me if i needed anything else he would be right there. Ive found my new mechanic!! Im sticking with them!!! I was in need of a mechanic badly at 8pm earlier this week & Essex Auto Repair & Towing came out to me as soon as I called and worked with me and my budget!I don t know much about cars and was nervous that I wouldn t be able to get my car back up and running. They even towed my car there, worked on, and drove it back to me in 2 days!My car is back on the road thanks to you guys & thankyou for showing you care ! Will definitely be referring you to those and need and returning for your services EXCELLENT PLACE TO DO BUSINESS !

Family own business. These men are awesome they take great care of my Van. Very professional and they have reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this shop. They. Put a Motor motor in my SUV.Very professional people. Very friendly people.The price was very reasonable and they did it in a timely. Paul and his Team At Essex Auto Are by Fare The Best Repair Shop In Maryland Bar None. THEY ARE friendly, Courteous Reliable and Trustworthy. They have been Servicing my Cars for the past 11 years. And not just mine but my Whole Family. All of the different makes and models both Foreign and Domestic. For Oil Chages to Installing the New Engine in my Daughters 2007 Ford Explore. Great company, GREAT prices. Nothing but 5 stars in my book. Funny thing is i always read reviews on companies i deal with as does any one and the only negative i see on this company is someone that says they see themDriving bad in Hartford county then say they see them driving bad on veterans highway which is completely on the other side of town . You guys must have fans following you from Hartford county to deep into Glenn Burnie. Keep up the good work.

Kept my moms car for days claiming they were going to fix her trunk.charged her 500 dollars and made it worse than it was..we now have to slam it four times to shut it and they put a huge dent in it.they also messed up the inside and we are oddly missing a seat belt buckle too! I would give zero stars if I could! Do not take your car here! Stay away!

I told him my jeep just might barely make it to his shop and that I needed it done by end of day (power steering pump) as I'm an EMT and drive ambulances at night. He told me to meet them at the shop at noon. Almost 1:00 now and nobody around, gate locked and directly to VM. Stranded at shop with nobody to help. Thanks fellas!! Guess I'll Uber home before paying big $ for a tow to a real shop. Waste of my time and money.

was supposed to tow my car yesterday but instead decided to no show after taking my info and quoting me a price waited all night for them to show and nothing no call or text back called multiple times and got sent directly to a full voicemail box. totally unprofessional if you ask me would definitely not recommend to my worse enemy more or less a friend -5*

You couldn t pay me to use another mechanic other then Paul. I ve known Paul and his crew for years and these guys are the best I know.. Always willing to go above and beyond to make you happy. My family, friends and my mechanical work go straight to them.
