MVA wouldn't touch my title and registration because of a minor error. These guys did it in 10 minutes, gave me no issues, and cost me less money. No more MVA for me.

Great service and expertise. Time saved vs the mva is well worth it. My updated 2023 review is still that Terry's is outstanding and totally worth the fee to save time and leverage their expertise.

After a very bad recent experience at the MVA, I was dreading having to go back to sort some things out for my temporary registration. I stumbled onto Terry's, and my issue was all sorted out in less than 10 minutes, after less than a 5 minute wait. The lovely man who helped me was friendly, professional and very efficient. This saved me so much time and stress, it was well worth the small fee. Very highly recommended.

These folks are so knowledgeable and helpful. Yes, you pay a little extra for your transaction, but the location is very convenient and you don't have to go to an MVA office and take your chances with which surly worker is going to help you. (In all fairness, over my 40 years of going to the MVA, I have had two or three people wait on me who were nice).

As someone (that s me) who has transacted a literally dozens of vehicles over the past 20 years, I have used Terry s Tag & Title .since their inception in the earliest 2000 s in their pilot store located in a basement suite in Finksburg, MD, and have been using them ever since between their former Finksburg, Columbia, Owings Mills and Westminster locations respectively, and all I can tell you is that I cannot be more pleased, no, let s use the word ecstatic with not only their services they provide, but more important, their stellar knowledge of the MVA system as a whole (more than the MVA itself mind you) but even more important, the hometown small business Ma & Pa feeling and treatment that you get in ALL of Terry s locations. Not only is her staff insanely knowledgeable, but they are amazing human beings that treat you as human beings not as robots or just another customer.Coming from someone (again, that s me) who is in the National and International Customer Service world in a billion dollar industry, its damn near impossible to not only please me, but also impress me at the same time. And with Terry s, I am telling you that you will get that, and so much more. It has been, and continues to be an absolute pleasure working with these folks .and even more so, it has been a pleasure watching their business grow organically, slow and steady, from the ground up while never skipping a beat on losing site of being that old school small business mentality that actually puts customer service first and foremost . Kudos to Terry and all of her staff members in all of her locations . And thank you for the continuing amazing service you have provided to me in the past, and continue to provide me to this day.

I initially gave this place an one star review since their employee didn t honor what he said he would do over the phone before my arrival and after payments were made. I was frustrated and upset and left a one star review, however ms. Terry reached out immediately and took care of the issue I was having with their services. Ms. Terry was extremely professional and it s good to see that the owner was concerned about my issue and helped me resolve it. I will definitely use their services in the future. Thank you Ms.Terry for helping me out once again.

I was extremely satisfied with their services. The staff their were hilarious and friendly (not to mention had great taste in music). Compared to the typical MVA branches I previously visited, such as the one in Beltsville, MD, I didn't feel as if I was being rushed out of the facility nor that the staff working here had attitude problems and didn't want to talk to anyone. The man that helped me (Roderick? Broderick?) sorry I forgot.. thoroughly explained to me how the process of getting my new title and license plate which was helpful. Overall, my experience here was great, I highly recommend Terry's Tag & Title Services and I am utterly disappointed that I had not heard of this place sooner! 10/10 Experience!

Few days back we went went to Terry Tag location at Columbia, MD. Terry Tag & Title Services provided us the best quality of service in a highly professional manner. Their good value of service reflected on the time efficient service. I sincerely recommend DMV or Office of State Governor's office should issue commendation for their efficient professional service. Wishing the best.

Recently I moved California to Maryland, So I want to change my CA registration to Maryland. Initially I went to MVA Office, The queue was so long and not moving, So cancelled my plan and return back to home. Visited Terrys Tag & Title Services very next day. submitted all the required documents by 11 AM (it will takes max of 10 minutes) That is ALL!! - and they called me around 4 PM to pickup my new registration !!Awesome service. All people here are very Professional and Knowledgeable. Absolutely a positive experience and worth the small percentage they are charging. I would recommend anyone that don't like long lines at MVA to give a try at Terry's Tag & Title Services.

Very friendly, knowledgeable in-person service. I purchased a vehicle out of state, and they quickly sorted through the necessary documents, marked the necessary items for signature, and tallied all the costs to obtain tags and title.Very efficient and friendly service at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

Tag, title, registration was done in 20 minutes for two cars. TOTALLY worth the $46 fee. Got there right when they opened, no wait. The clerk was very knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure you have all the necessary steps to save you time (for new cars into MD it is things like, insurance, current titles, get your inspection done FIRST!). Overall - seriously awesome. I recommend this place to ANYONE.

Do not use their service. I am a disabled veteran that used their service trying to get disability plates. I know the service could ve been done for free and I did not want to wait in line due my current disabilities so I decided to pay them. When I called and inquired about their services they advised me that all I would Need is my veterans affairs letters indicating that I am service Connected. I went paid and waited to hear back which I did. They called me and said Mva has rejected their application and I won t be able to receive my money back. This company is refusing to give back my disabled veteran service money which Was paid for a service and they did not complete. please spread the word that this company is rotten and do not honor what they say they will do. They are not there to help the veterans but to bamboozle the money out of them. I guess this is the thanks we get for the service to our country.

"Tags in ten minutes" isn't just a gimmick! I was in and out, no hassle. Friendly customer service. You pay a bit more than going to MVA, but so worth it! Will return if needed.

I rarely write reviews, but I absolutely need to share my experience! My visit to this location was incredible, and I recommend the Columbia location to everyone. I arrived late afternoon with a pleasantly polite welcome from the two staff members, and there s was absolutely zero waiting time. They helped me right away, and I was out within 10 minutes- for both tags AND re titling my vehicle. The additional fee to go to this tag and title location is beyond worth the money, over the hours of waiting at the MVA, and not to mention the typical torture of poor/rude customer service most of us have seen with any MVA location in the DMV area (even for people like myself who is always polite and OVER prepared for anything I do... the MVA personnel still has an attitude with you, as if they hate their job). Thank you, Terry s staff for making this experience painless!

Terry s was recommended to me as being a friendly and fast service. I had a great experience. They were so friendly! I was shocked at how fast Victoria had process me and gave me my plates. I would highly recommend Terry s tag and title!

Brian was incredibly friendly, patient, and professional. My wife and I have used this place several times in the past for personal vehicles, but this was my first time tagging a work vehicle. They couldn t have been more informative and helpful. Will absolutely use them over and over again!

Excellent customer service. We had transferred old tags to a new car, and we were very confused about the process needed to get the tagless car back in action. We are not from Maryland originally, so for the benefit of others - your initial safety inspection is still valid, you may have to wait up to 30 days for the plates to get out of the system in order to get new tags, and when in doubt, just shoot them an email to look up your car. Very friendly and patient, and I would absolutely recommend their service.

I will forever be a Terry's T&T customer, as long as I'm in Maryland. After moving from VA to MD, I was overwhelmed with all the different forms and what to do with the MVA to get my cars registered, etc. && stressing about the ridiculous excise tax that MD has, but that's irrelevant. :)After getting my cars through inspection, I was recommended to go through Terry instead of the MVA by a local auto repair shop. I had no idea you could go through a privately owned T&T place. This isn't even an option in other states I've lived in.Anyways, I found Terry's T&T website and sent an email that was listed to go directly to Terry. She responded within a couple hours (while she was on vacation too), and put me in contact with someone from her office while she's away. She reassured me that everything will be taken care of and no need for me to worry. After all was said and done, all I had to do was go in and pick up my plates and pay what I owed. Super easy process and Terry & Brian made it easier for me.I will always recommend them! Thank you!

Highly recommended! We've been in Maryland for less than a year, and knew nothing about the vehicle registration process until recently. The first place we went to (another Tag and Title service had no idea of what they were doing), the DMV (due to COVID) scheduled us for 1 month out. Found this place via Google, on the following day we went near their closing time and were in-and-out with our new Maryland License plate within 20 minutes. And it cost us 3x less than the first TT place wanted to charge.

They have turned down the volume on the ringers, so getting them to answer your calls is a pain. This forces you to physically go to the store every time you want something handled. Which is a lot in my case since they took my payment before figuring out how to complete the action I requested. They sure offer a lot of I don t know answers for people whose job it is to know about registration policies.

Completely confused by MVA regulations for out of state registration. Brian at Terry's very simply explained everything that needed to be done and helped prepare all the forms that needed to be done. He was very patient with my situation as my car was still registered with my parents out of state and he waited as I tried to get all of the information from them. I wish I had just come to him first instead of the MVA! I am very happy and will return any time I need to re-register!

Absolutely a positive experience and worth the tiny percentage charged. Professional knowledgable staff, great attitude, made me a happy camper. This is 300% better than dealing with MVA the reduction in time & frustration makes it the only way to go.

I have been a customer 2 times before this last experience. The first 2 times were exceptional. This time not so much.My dad just died and I got his car. I was told to bring a bill of sell and the death certificate to the location. I called at 4:00 to confirm the information. There was no answer so I left a message. I got there at 4:50 to a empty office with the staff talking personal issues. I would have though if they were not busy, the call would have been returned.The bill of sale was not notarized due to being in FL. The gentleman look at the paperwork and smiled. Who smiles at a death certificate? Perhaps it was a bad reaction. He proceeds to tell me the bill of sale was not valid. When I told him that this was a FL bill of sale provide by their DMV, he was not aware.Being not aware, he then told me that I would have to travel back to FL to get a notarized one. Why would he say something so inaccurate?He then stated that he would take care of it if I paid him 4% of the value of the car. (His understanding of Maryland law was lacking too. According to MD DMV, the percentage is 6% not 4) Even questions about temp tags and the next step all brought the statement about paying him 4% of the value.Everyone is intitled to a bad day. No one has the right to be a bully like this gentleman. He did not need to act this way, like the death and situation was a joke. May God bless him. He needs it.I advise State Farm not to recommend them again.If you go to Terrys be aware that some of the staff are lacking professionalism and common curiosity. Others are excellent.

Great place to go to. Since our local dmv is pretty much closed down and you have to have an appointment just to go in there because of covid-19 its annoying. Going here it was fast, quick and easy to do. They do charge more for the convenience but it's worth it. Make sure you have cash because if you use a credit or debit card they charge you a fee.

Unless you like being yelled at, take your business elsewhere.I called to ask whether or not they could provide a new free and clear title following full payment of a lien, as I'm in the process of selling the car across state lines. Instead of giving an answer as to whether or not they provided this service, Berlin proceeded to raise his voice, talk over me and scold me about how I didn't need a new free and clear title. Even if Berlin's point we're accurate, screaming "you are wrong" three times into the phone at a potential customer doesn't seem like a good way to secure business.

It's really bad when I feel the need to say I should have went to the MVA instead. I went in for a simple tag transfer, the whole process was painless and not expensive. After a week, they call claiming there is a lien on my vehicle and in order to get it cleared I needed to bring in additional paperwork. I call them back, I already sold the car at that point, they didn't answer the first day after leaving a message, they call back . My bank says their no lien and that the tag company can call to verify this. When I told terrys tag and title they told me they wouldn't be able to call the bank, the woman on the phone was rude and was basically yelling. So I get more paperwork from my bank, when I drop it off, they told me I could call back to find out how long it would take to get the title from the mva, they said there would be a number when they submitted it which would give me a general idea of when it would come. When I called back a few days later, they told me there was no way and I have no idea why the first representative would have even to me that if it wasn't possible. The long story short is, it took me a month to finally get the title, the older women who worked there were rude and unprofessional. I've had better experiences with the mva than this place.

Had some questions about an out of state vehicle being gifted & transfered. MVA site not so helpful! Sent an email to Terry's Tag & Title with the subject line "Help!..." Got a response from the owner w/ in 24 hours over the weekend no less! Lots of helpful info and guidance. Will def being using their service during this transaction!
