Great garage. Very knowledgeable-they know their stuff! Another garage failed to fix my car and gave up after 3 attempts, but Bobby was able to fix it speedily. He explained everything plainly to me with patience and respect. Grateful to have come to them and will now go nowhere else.

Chestertown Garage will forever have my business! I have been taking my cars there for years and I have always felt they were fair and honest. Today proved that once again! It s refreshing to have someone I can trust with a subject I know nothing about!

They provided excellent service. They did a state inspection of my truck and car and also did the necessary repairs at reasonable rates. I highly recommend them.

From 5 stars to 2. They broke my wheel lock, didn't tell me and left the wheel lock lug off the car. These guys had been proactive honest and reasonbly priced. I had a great experience in the past.

I am very disappointed in Chestertown garage. They had my vehicle for 3 weeks and I spent $2500. After 2 weeks they passed it in inspection. As I was driving home it started smoking. I took it back and they repaired more and passed it again. Now my vehicle isn't shifting right and it's not going anywhere when I give it gas. How can you pass a cars inspection with this problem? It's been 3 days since it passed inspection. I'm very upset.Update: took to another shop to be told my transmission has gone up! Drove it 5 miles since picking up from chestertown garage.Services: Tires, Auto power window repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Straightforward with estimates and options to tackle problems. Will provide details about work involved with repairs. Very reasonable pricing. Trust is a big thing for auto repair customers, and they've always done right by me. Staff was very friendly and personable. Came here to get an inspection done and it was quicker than anticipated. May need to come back for any potential repairs in the future based on the reviews!

I was in Chestertown on business on a Friday morning when my car began misfiring and the check engine light started flashing. I made a few calls and found Chestertown Garage. I was only a couple of blocks away from the garage so I limped over to have them take a look.Ashley was awesome. I didn't have an appointment but she had one of the guys in the shop put my car on their system analyzer to diagnose the problem. Turned out to be a bad coil. Ashley did a quick search of the part availability and found that her supplier only had one unit in stock. She took the initiative to go ahead and get the part delivered. Literally 5 minutes later, the part was delivered. The mechanic installed the new part and I was out of the shop in under an hour.admittedly, there are many factors of this experience that had to perfectly align to make this turn out as it did. However, if Ashley and the team at Chestertown Garage hadn't had the willingness to "make it happen", my experience would have been entirely different.Thank you Chestertown Garage!!!

Stayed after hours to fix a device on my vehicle that they absolutely didn't have to. The entire staff stayed until my issue was resolved. I give them 5 stars and then some. Wonderful team almost like a family

I am not from the area, but came to Chestertown Garage when my air conditioning broke while on vacation. They were prompt, communicative, and were able to get the parts and fix my car within one day and for less than the estimated repair costs. All around, they turned what could have been a vacation-ruining stressful situation into an easy fix (and their work was perfect - I am now getting too cold in my car sometimes!).Definitely recommended!

I've spent a few thousand dollars at this shop having repairs and regular service done over the past few years and I thought I could trust them, but since my last visit I realized that is not the case. I took my car in for an oil change and I already knew there was a milky substance in my oil. I has been doing some research about the issue and thought it might be bad thermostat, or at the worst, a blown head gasket. I told the shop this when I dropped off the car. The shop calls me later and said that it indeed was a bad head gasket and I needed to have it changed. They told me they knew exactly which cylinders had the issue, that it would be a minimum $1500.00, and that I would most likely be without my car for a week. I said I didn't have that kind of money and I couldn t be without a car that long. I told them that since I had an older vehicle I would just drive it until it died. Then the shop said they would take a second look just in case to see if it may be something else. Now keep in mind, this is after they already told me I had a blown head gasket so why would they check to see if it was a different problem if they supposedly already knew what the problem was? They called me back a few hours later and said it wasn't a head gasket issue after all, but a bad thermostat, coolant sensor, and that the water pump was leaking. Now, the price to fix the car was $750.00. I told them I still didn't have that kind of money and that I would just pick up my car once the oil change was done. Although I had an idea the thermostat was bad, I never had signs of a water pump leak so I was suspicious that it needed to be changed. I had a friend take a look at the car and they said there was nothing wrong with the water pump. My friend changed the thermostat (cost $17.95) and put new coolant in (cost $10.00). It took him about 20 minutes to do. My oil has been clear ever since and the car runs fine. Don t get taken for a ride here. Go somewhere else.P.S. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, I was also told that my fuel lines were leaking and my car would blow up if I drove it home that night. For that particular repair, I had to pay $650.00 to have my fuel lines replaced.

Ok workmanship but overpriced. The owner's specialty in the past was custom work for cars. I wouldn't recommend them. Any major work I need done to my vehicles I go to Easton. Oil changes and alignment work is about the extent of the work I will allow anybody in chestertown to do in my vehicles.

I had emergency visiting Chestertown on a Friday. They got me in and fixed Within a few hours and back on the road. They were honest, Fair price and overall it was a great experience

Doug and his staff always is proactive, honest and willing to help the students at Washington College. I live up in CT and daughter at college at WAC had problems with car. Always have 110% confidence that Doug and his team will do right and has our kids back while at College. Doug THX!!! Stu

Brought my Lincoln MKZ in for a oil change. Within three blocks the car starts making a large thud. Then the car made a loud popping and sound as if something is being dragged. I called and told then I was returning the vehicle. When I got back they told me that someone was going to call me because they forgot to put something up. i almost blew a gasket. The offered to make it right. I requested and received my money back. Horrible experience!

Took my car to Chestertown Garage to get a headlight replaced. When I called and spoke to Ashley on the phone she said it would be $25 and to bring it in at that moment. I got there at 2:05 at 2:10 she is ringing me up total $46. When asked why $46 she said $2.20 was parts $44 was labor. The mechanic Chris said he just popped the old light and put it back in didnt even have to remove the headlight. Such a get over. Always overpriced since Doug left

My sister took her car there for an oil change when she came back to pick car up turns out that her car was leaking gas and could potentially blow up if the gas got on the exhaust, so she calls me and tells that it would be about $750 to repair plus the oil change cost, so I told her to just bring the car back and I ll check it out because that sounded real strange so we took the car to another garage and it turns out that no gas was leaking smh
