The team at Maryland Motor Werkz took great care of my vehicle while it was in their possession. They did an excellent job with all the services that they completed. I consider them very competent Porsche technicians.

After careful research and upon recommendation of a very good friend, I decided to have my 1986 e30 BMW 325es shipped to this facility for restoration of mechanical. This was an extensive job as the car had sat stationary for over 2 decades. Visually it appeared as almost showroom condition, but time had taken it's toll. I cannot begin count the parts that had to be replaced and reconditioned. Anyway, the crew had the car since November and completed last week. I drove over in anticipation of inspecting the work and paying the final bill, then having the transport company bring the car home. Kind of spur of the moment and a little bit impulsive of me, but I decided to drive that beauty home, almost 300 miles. Without reservation, the car performed like brand new. I cannot thank Maryland Motor Werkz graciously enough. I will be returning sometime in the near future for some fun stuff now that the car is running like new. This facility is honest and upright, kept me in the loop, information was always forthcoming and I was always given options and recommendations. Nice job Joseph!

Recommended from Facebook group, Cars and Coffee. I needed a Cold Air Intake installed. Before I took it, I had noticed a smell of oil when I drive more than an hour from my car. I had the work done, car sounds great. The mechanic informed me of the oil smell, I didnt mention it when I took it. I will be back, for that service. They are a small shop but have integrity and didn't try to sell me bs. As a military member, they offered a discount, so that was nice.

The highlights: My Mercedes C43 AMG has been serviced twice: once for several issues identified during routine maintenance at the Mercedes dealership and once for brake service - both were impeccable, competitively priced, finished quickly with no issues whatsoever. The longer review with details: I purchased a fully loaded 2018 C43 AMG in Houston prior to moving to Maryland, and since it was still under warranty, I had all my service done at the Mercedes dealership in Hagerstown. They were great and even fixed a couple small issues under warranty. HOWEVER... once my car was out of it's warranty period, things became very expensive. Now you don't get a car like this without knowing the maintenance costs, but you also don't get to a position where you can afford a car like this without knowing the value of money, and being able to compare competitive pricing and go for the value add. And that's exactly what I did: At the Mercedes dealership, they let me know (only two months past the warranty period...) that I had a left front boot that was torn, a left rear shock that was leaking, and I needed four new tires. I was simply shocked at the pricing that was presented to me. So... I got on Google and searched for a European performance car maintance shop, and found Maryland Motor Werks after very little searching - it was actually these reviews that convinced me! I reached out to them and shared the issues that were discovered. All via their web interface I was able to review their proposal for fixing the issues. Not only was it about $1,500 less than the dealership, I was told at Mercedes that it would take about a month to order the tires, shock, and the boot. Not at Maryland Motor Werks! They had my car back to me in a week and a half, even with having to order the parts. The car drives like a dream now. Recently I had my front brakes replaced - and since I travel internationally for business, I only had a couple hours' window in which to have this done. They worked with me to identify a time slot, I showed up, and they had me out the door in under two hours. BRAVO!!! I will bring my vehicle, present and future, back to this shop as long as I live in Maryland and the surrounding areas. Please consider them for your needs as I've found them to be nothing less than fantastic.

Had been looking for a reputable shop that specialized in German autos. Came across MMW and met Eric and Joe. Just a simple oil change and a good once over of the car. I was impressed with the honesty and thorough explanation of items to keep an eye on to ensure I don t have any surprise repairs in the future. The knowledge they have of the cars is impressive. It is clear they have a passion for what they do and the cars. I will be back in the future!Services: Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

We are from Ohio and were on vacation when our tire picked up some tire " food". We had just left the Washington Monument when we noticed the problem and happened upon Maryland Motor Werkz. Joe and his crew were so kind and helpful. They plugged our tire, filled it with air and had us on our way in 15 minutes. Thank you for saving the day Motor Werkz!!

I rarely write reviews but i really like this place. My husband used to run a shop years ago much like this one. He prided himself on treating customers with honesty and respect. When i walk into this job, i feel that same energy. We have three old BMW s and try to use independent shops. We thought we had a winner with our last shop until my husband spot checked one of the repairs and found either old parts OR the repair not actually being done. This shop is timely, has good prices, and so far seems to have integrity - not overselling repair. I highly recommend for BMW s. Not sure if they work on stuff that isn t German.Service: General repairs

Their work is quick and affordable I can't say enough good things about this shop. A++++Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Brake service & repair

Was referred to Maryland Motor Werkz as they worked on European vehicles. As I was informed by Maryland emissions inspection, and the Audi dealer, I needed a new turbo charger and the dealer informed me the expense would over $6000. In checking I with Maryland Motor Werks, they found the issue to be vacuum related along with some other needed repairs at a 6th of the cost in replacing the turbo. I highly recommend MD Auto Werks as they are honest, thorough, and extremely experienced. Another positive experience to note is they kept me informed during their diagnosis and repair.

Imagine, if you will, that your best friends that you would love to build a car with, can talk shop with, and you trusted, ACTUALLY knew everything they lead on to and owned a garage. This is that place. Talking with everyone here was like a group of guys hanging out on a Saturday doing what they love, not just a job. An issue that a garage and a reputable dealer couldn t solve was resolved here. While it was a wait for parts (not the shops fault) the end result was quality work and my Mercedes running like she rolled of the lot in 85. If you have a German car, this is the only shop I would trust with it if you want an attention to detail and quality that you would do yourself if you had time. And knowledge. And a whole garage. And group of expert friends. Highly recommend and will use no one else for my car.

My 2001 BMW 325 had steering issues and it turned out to be the rack. Found one with a warranty and got it installed quickly, getting me back on the road. They have also helped with my Porsche 911. I will be back.7/2023 - they replaced the valve cover gasket on my 740LI, the smoke and smell are gone and the plugs are not failing anymore. Great job as always!Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are honest and upfront, and really take their time looking into the issue. My 2007 BMW 530i had some intermittent electrical issues and they were able to figure it out after some time, due to the problem being on and off it took a bit longer. A slight miscommunication at first so make sure to be clear about you are expecting, but overall a good place with good pricing, and a good atmosphere.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

The boss was so pleasant and very helpful. I told him I was having difficulty driving because my head lights on my Rav 4 are very low, he suggested installing fog lights and what a difference that made. Now I can see much safer when I m driving. Thank you for the rest of the service maintenance you provided, I appreciate it so much! There are not a lot of shops that I would trust to work on my vehicles, this one is an exception! Everybody that works there is not only friendly, but also knows what the heck they are talking about. They will not lie to you and tell you that you need something that you don't. They will tell let you know if something is going to be needed in the future or things to watch out for. These guys are great and I will always use them for any automotive needs.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Wheel alignment, Auto tire replacement

I brought my M3 in for an upgrade. Greg and Eric are super personable and down to earth dudes that tell it like it is. Their openness and customer service goes a long way. I ve been to quite a few Indy shops and I m so glad I gave this shop a try. I plan to go back for other work and I appreciate how quick and simple this trip was. We even talked about cars after the job was done and Eric showed me his car in the shop. They also provided recommendations in the future for upcoming maintenance. Thanks guys!

Excellent Service and Work!! Great Dealership Alternative!!These guys are awesome! If you are looking for honest, hard-working, knowledgeable guys that do reputable work at a fair price, as a great dealer alternative, don't hesitate to contact them. I have had a LOT of work done by them on three different vehicles recently, and it was all done to complete satisfaction. I found them via a Google search after having a bad experience at a dealership, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have found an outstanding independent shop to service my vehicles.

I'm a bit hesitant to write this but I gotta give Ryan and the guys here some credit. I work at a German car dealership in the service department and RARELY come across independent shops that have reached this level of competency. the only reason it needed to be here was because some software is proprietary and unavailable to him. He was pleasant to deal with and Im happy I got the chance to meet him. Now don't go and steal all of our clients, Ryan !Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Unprofessional, and a rude SOB on the phone. Told me in the most contempuous voice possible "nothing is free", and literally hung up on me. For asking for a BASIC estmate for a repair. I already have the codes. Hence me calling different shops for estimates. These grifters suddenly want to charge you $120 for eachtime they hook up to "their computer" every shop I try to get an estimate? Its completely unnecessary, unscrupulous, reeks of price gouging. BUT I'm your personal Atm telling me nothing is free? Like they're actually testing circuits and wringing out wires? Give me a break. Takes 2 minutes to pull those codes. Some things are free. Like kindness. Building customer loyalty.More importantly having some f'ing manners on the phone. So here's some free advertising for pal. You talked my wife thay that way. We'd be talking in person. And not about cars, pal.
