It has been a while since I have taken my car into Linder Automotive but Mr. Linder is incredibly knowledgeable, very kind and very fair. I really appreciate his service and will consider even driving back to Baltimore when possible if I need something done on our car! The Linder family has been fixing cars in Waverly since 1959. Mister Richard Linder has an exhaustive knowledge of automobiles, that he will happily share with you. He is generally concerned that your car is leaving his shop in the best condition possible. He also has a fabulous memory. He is 68 years old and his retirement will be a sad day for lots of people.Services: Transmission, Tires, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Consistently excellent no-nonsense service and advice. I do most auto maintenance and repairs myself but have been going to Linder Auto for years for jobs I can't or don't want to undertake. Friends and neighbors with little auto knowledge of their own have gotten the same excellent service---no condescension and no up-selling. Rich Linder is exactly what you want your mechanic to be: completely honest, forthright, skilled, dependable, and practical. Unlike some shops and dealers who try to return cars to "as new" condition, Rich's priorities are keeping keeping your car safe, reliable, and affordable as it ages, and he is very good about presenting a range of options from "must do" to "keep an eye on this" to "could do someday."

Yep, this is my family, so you might consider the review biased, but...... 4 weeks ago I completely lost the electric steering in my 2012 Acura TSX. Honda wouldn't touch the car, even though I bought it through them (Parkville) and Frankel Acura quoted me 'Over 1 thousand, but under 3' for a new power steering module. Even though the family business typically doesn't deal with the computers in today's newer vehicles, they couldn't stand to see me shell out the money that Acura demanded for a known issue. There is no recall out there, even though there should be. Linder's found me a junkyard broker, and through them I ordered a module in Wisconsin. Nick, the long time mechanic at Linder's, was able to install the module and now I'm all fixed for a few hundred out of pocket. A few hundred versus $1000-$3000???? No contest. Linder's would do this for anyone. They can't guarantee a junkyard product, not even for family, but they TRIED when all the mom and pop shops in Harford County refused to look at the issue. I'm so proud to carry the last name of Linder, and if you have a similar issue, I can assure you this shop will try to help you out. I will forever choose a small, local business like this over a dealer, and this situation is the perfect example why. The neighborhood isn't the most appealing, the inside could use a power wash, but the service and efforts are top notch.

Sometimes hard to get in quickly as a lot of neighbors trust Linder, but well worth it. Very honest and upfront.
