I wish I would have gotten the name of the gentleman who helped me just now (9:18 am) but both him and the other associate were very kind and so helpful.I get really nervous walking into auto stores as I am not very knowledgeable about cars, but these 2 were great and I left with no anxiety after.Thank you both so much!

Ordered windshield wipers for my car but could not figure out how to put them on. I was about to return them and the associate came out to my car and installed them himself. As well as took away my old windshield wipers. Excellent service!

My wife went to get a new battery, she had a screenshot of what she needed with the part number and they sent her home with the wrong size, when She went to return it the cashier was rude and didn t even apologize for the mix up

I was in a jam and needed a car battery for my Civic. Kerri as a great help, and she was very knowledgeable. I was in and out in a few minutes and got a good price. Location is very convenient also

Wow. What a great experience I had at Advance Auto today.I asked my dealership to replace all my wiper blades while I had my truck in for service. They forgot the rear one which was the worst.I went back today to ask them for a replacement blade. They told me I had to buy the whole arm which was $50.I went to advance auto in Fallston but they were out. They referred me to the store in Perry Hall.They had my wiper blades in stock and the counter person assembled it for me and put in on my truck. Thank you for the great customer service.

I had been going to this store for my car needs and the team that works here is very helpful! I came in today to buy windshield wipers because I haven t been getting the right one at other stores. Rachel confirmed that I have the correct wiper but I didn t realize that my cars windshield wiper was a complicated one. Rachel together with the help of another team member (Sorry, I forgot to get his name and he helped a lot) helped me put the correct wiper blade parts from the items I bought (which I would not been able to do since the guy had to put a lot of effort in removing the parts), installed the wiper blades in my car and inspected it to make sure it was installed correctly.This is not the first time I received amazing service from this store. When I needed to buy a coolant for my car, I almost bought the wrong one and the person working in the store checked to make sure it s the right one.I also had to come here when my battery died and I had to remove the battery from my car, take the battery there to get checked and then buy a new one. When the guy who sold me the new battery found out that I just took the battery out of my car and that may car was not next to the store, he gave me tips on how to install the battery back in my car and prevent the car from having errors.I live 30 minutes away but I specifically come to this store because of their consistent amazing service! If you need anything for your car, check this place out and you won t regret it.

Staff very helpful. Look up parts for you. Install wiper blades for free.2022-08 Update... Still same great service. Needed a new battery. Other places couldn't replace it for a week! Called Advanced Auto, they looked up what I needed, pulled the battery and had it waiting at the counter when I got there. And, they installed it for free! In and out in under 20 minutes, only took so long because my car has unusually small bolts and they had to find the right size socket.

I have always used this particular Advanced location for parts that I need. Just recently I have needed to purchase an alternator and battery. Rachel was extremely helpful with my purchase and helped ease my mind, she could tell I was stressed! She installed my battery and it wasn t an easy install. She didn t let it frustrate her. I really appreciated her expertise. Thank you!

Thank you for helping my battery work this time. The guy from Advance auto parts helped me to replace the old battery with no sweat. He also checked the starter and alternator to make sure everything is operational. Fast service and quality work that's what I really like about the company. Great job and more power to the team.

Terrible experience at the 8820 Belair Rd location. Replacing a car battery should not be this much hassle. An associate named Rich H. was rude and incompetent. He was not wearing any uniform or name tag, just his leather jacket and black pants. I parked next to the entrance door in a parking spot but he insisted me to move my car in front of the door which was a fire lane with yellow curb. He did not know how to unscrew 10mm sockets that were holding down the car battery. He went inside and asked another associate. At this point, I decided to stop him and took my car to another location. I did not have the nerve to tell him that I did not feel comfortable with him working on my car so I made up an excuse. My online order came with a free terminal protection kit but it was ordered for a pick up at another store which was my mistake. He told me that there is nothing he can do with online orders so I purchased another one using my credit card ($4). The other location (2033 E Joppa Rd) took care of the installation with no issues (big thanks to the gentlemen that helped me). I took the extra kit back to 8820 for a refund. Rich H. asked for my online confirmation number and I asked why because I am returning something that I paid with my credit card in the store. We went back and forth a few times and I gave him the online confirmation number. He processed the return and gave me a receipt to sign. I looked down and it showed a total of $0.00. Yes, he gave me a return receipt that had $0.00. If I did not pay attention, I would have walked away thinking that I got the refund. I explained to him that using my online order is not going to give me a refund because it was a free product. He tossed it immediately. I asked him to use the receipt that I got when I purchased the extra kit using my credit card. I wasted a few hours trying to replace my car battery today which is fine but this gentleman named Rich H. at the 8820 Belair location raised a lot of questions in my mind whether he should be allowed to work at Advance Auto Parts. Besides his indifferent manner, he was not skilled (let us be honest, you do not need to be skilled to replace batteries) and he did not know how to process a return. I had great experiences with Advance Auto Parts before and it is a shame that this location is damaging its brand and reputation. I am never going back to this location although I live five minutes away. Such an inconvenience.

I wouldn't give you any stars if that was possible. Sold me a standard battery for an eco start which I TOLD THEM WAS THE WRONG BATTERY AND IT WOULDN'T FIT. Three of them couldn't get it in and when they finally did they used a piece of wood to hold. A few weeks later we have problems of course and they want to lie about the battery and putting it in and we have to purchase the correct battery which is $50 more. You should have ate that $50 and your lies about everything. You said the car was too complicated to work on, don't worry... I won't even buy an air freshener from there

I made an online PREPAID purchase of 5 basic items. I called and spoke to the manager asking when the order would be ready. He said 15-30 minutes. I got there an hour later. NOTHING PULLED AND HALF THE ITEMS NOT EVEN IN STOCK. Took over a half hour in store for clerk to pull 3 items... Car seat covers, 2 air fresheners and floor mats!! 30 minutes! Called to ask about the process & complain and rude AF manager hung up. I'll never go to advance auto parts again. The worst service EVER.

I have been to this location several times and the staff is always helpful and professional. They never make you feel stupid even though you are asking what is probably a dumb question to them. Hey not all of us took auto shop or were into cars growing up. They listen and they solve the issue. I have even had one of their staff come out in the dark and install new wiper blades in the dark for me.

Very helpfull staff. For those that post complaints about the staff just remember there are two sides to every story.They have parts for most cars in stock and can order parts if they don't have it. They have staff on hand that know about cars, but like most humans not everyone knows everything about every car. As long as they are not real busy they will go out of there way to help with stuff they would not normally do. They will price match just make sure you have a paper advertisement from the other location. Can not price match walmart or any deals that are on a website.When it comes to installing batteries try to call ahead because for certain vehicles they cannot install batteries due to newer vehicles having a bunch more electronics and computer systems in them. Also the placement of the battery could also be an issue. Most carbatteries come with a one, two or three year warranty. I have had batteries with two year warranties last 4 to 5 years.If you are coming in to get a check engine code read do not expect them to clear the code out. They are not certified mechanics so they can not tell you what parts are needed to fixed the problem because it is a liability issue. On certain check engine codes they will be able to give an idea of what is wrong. For example if it says engine misfire cylinder 2, it could be a bad coil or spark plug.During the winter months when it gets down to single digits or teens it can cause the battery to take a couple extra cranks of the engine for the car to start. If you are coming in to get a battery check just make sure you are able to turn off and on your car.When placing an online order it could take longer than 30 minutes to pick an order based on how busy it is.Also take advantage of signing up for the speed perks program because they have changed it to a point based system and you will get coupons faster, and they are able to see if you have any coupons available at the register. It is free to sign up for. And besides getting coupons for cash off they do have other promotions available for speed perk members. Also we do have a military discount(active and vet.), so make sure you mention that at the time of check out.Sometimes they are short staffed and will try and help a customer as fast as possible.When looking for parts they do have a small selection of parts for motorcycles and ATV's depending on the make. As well as parts and additives for lawn care equipment. They might not have everything in stock but chances are they can order it and depending on the time of day it could be in the same day or the next day. And if they can not get it at all, the employees can direct you to any location that might have it even if its not an other advance.Also pay attention or ask about the return policy because there are some things that cannot be returned. Even if you didn't use it.

Had to get a jump start to even get there. Shawn confirmed my issue was with my battery and not the alternator. He then replaced the old with a new. I give 5 stars because of Shawn's customer service skills. He took care of the customers while the manager was no where to be found.

I came here because I was having battery issues with my car. I was there less than 20 minuets and left with a new battery that was installed. The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy what they did. Mr. Ever was very kind and helpful!

Hello, I was in the store in Perry Hall the other day and was waited on by the most pleasant man. In the past i have been in the store and found the customer service to be horrible, I always say to myself I will never go back again. In this particular instance this gentleman changed my mind. His name is Tim, I did not get his last name. He went out of his way to help me, he was so nice , I thought to myself he should give training classes to his fellow employees. To sum it up my husband and I as well as friends and family who by the way we have all had conversations about will continue to go back to the store!! I just know when I do have to go back there I will be looking around for Mr. Tim !!

THEY ARE NOT friendly at all , I had asked a few questions for my husband and of course he wasnt near me at the moment ,then the man said I'm not doing this and hung up. I will not be doing any business here at all .I work customer service everyday! this is by far the worst! customer service I have ever had!" it sounds like your talking in a tin can about ten miles away take me off speaker "RUDE!I wish I would've gotten his name because he is so disrespectful! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

There are plenty of (free) parking lots for the customers. Inside, the store is very spacious, security cameras are installed to prevent shoplifting, and the customers can ask for free loaner tools (Note: Full deposit is required. Please check with your local Advanced Auto Parts retailer for more information). There are hundreds of automotive parts and accessories available for every vehicle - car, truck, SUV, and minivan. Batteries and wiper blades can be installed at no extra cost, that is, if you are purchasing them from here (ask Team Members for help at the time of purchasing). Expect to see some scuff marks on the floor, and some empty shelves are visible here and there.

You can get most things you need their but the employee Tracy is rude she clearly hates her job*update* I just called this location to see if they had a part. When the phone was answered the employee said "we dont got what you need" i ignored it and started saying what vehicle i am working on and he cut me off and said "we dont have it" how are you going to say that when you dont even know what im asking for yet. This location has terrible workers with my experience

Me and my girlfriend went to advanced to check her check engine light on her Corolla. There was three people on staff, the average amount on staff, and asked for simple request for them to scan it. And a scan is a very simple test to do, I've had done several times on my own vehicle. The part that gets me is that The sales associate named Jer said to us very rudely to move aside because he has other customers. I'm not sure about anyone else but to me that is poor customer service. So we are going back to the car starting it up and here he comes out with a scan tool I said nope we're going to Savlos thanks for the customer service! So if you want better customer service go to salvo auto-parts about five minutes southbound on Bel airRoad. They have a much better customer service than advanced!

Over all ok store the employees were helpful but my online order was not fully available had to get a muffler connector that wasnt the right one because they didn't have what the online store said they had now I have to go to a different location to get the right connector

On vacation and our brakes started grinding out of nowhere. Went to Advanced auto parts on rt.50 close to O.C. and they hooked us up with good prices and whatever tools we needed.Saved us around $100.Highly recommended!
