Great Northern has taken care of my 56 MGA since I returned to Central Maine 2 years ago. I was growing concerned I would not be able to find a qualified shop to take care of my 65+ year old British car. I was fortunate to have found Great Northern motor works, as Steve's knowledge is encyclopedic and their work is performed meticulously. Steve and the entire crew are real pros in every sense of the word. Great Northern have performed front suspension work, brake replacement, and most recently clutch replacement. These folks are the real deal and, most importantly, their integrity is beyond reproach.

Took my 1931 Model A to get some leaks looked at and had a stalling problem. Steve is extremely knowledgeable and a great guy to talk to. Fixed all the issues and gave me things to look for in the future. Inherited the car from my grandfather and needed to have someone knowledgeable show me a lot of the basics. Steve took the time to go through the car with me and answer all my questions.

These guys are so friendly and knowledgeable. They're willing to take the time to talk to you about your car and develop a realistic solution. I take my vintage 1965 Mustang to them and have had nothing but a fantastic experience.

They discovered a service bulletin on the issue of my vehicle, which is a 2009 BMW X5 35D. They suggested contacting BMW about servicing my vehicle for free since it is a known issue with a service bulletin. There are businesses that would not have mentioned the service bulletin. I am grateful for that. Then, they replaced one of the daylight driving bulbs with a special tool which saved time and money on my end. Great Northern Motor Works is extremely customer-orientated. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Great shop, took care of my 95 Mitsubishi 3000GT timing belt (that the local Mitsubishi dealer's mechanic didn't want to take on) as well as a door/switch wiring problems, would highly recommend these guys for any classic foreign car repair for sure !Services: Electrical repair, Engine repairServices: Electrical repair, Engine repair
