The hike to the lighthouse provides ample photo ops. There are walking trails that take you to a small beach, primarily rocks. The outhouse never has toilet paper, so plan accordingly. The park is easy to find using Google maps. Enjoy the attached pictures.Restrooms: Bring your own toilet paperDog-friendliness: Leash requirementsPicnic area: Ample picnic tables

I only went to the lighthouse which ins in the state park.Great views! It's about a 1/3 mile walk through the woods, then a 2-story climb to the lighthouse. The views are great all the way. There is a very small artifact room and gift shop.Small rough dirt parking lot.Restrooms: There are porta-potties at the gift shop.

Our day at Owls Head State Park was a peaceful retreat along the stunning Maine coastline. Nestled in natural beauty, this park offers a perfect blend of scenic views and coastal charm. The walking trails provide an opportunity to explore the diverse landscapes, from wooded areas to picturesque shorelines. The iconic Owls Head Lighthouse adds to the allure, standing as a silent sentinel against the backdrop of the Atlantic. For nature enthusiasts and those seeking a serene escape, Owls Head State Park is a hidden gem along the Maine coast.

I like the surrounding area better than the lighthouse. You have to park and walk, Google maps is not accurate about where to stop but they have signs posted that say no vehicles. I wanted a nice view of the lighthouse that included water but there was no such view and you can't get too close to the lighthouse. I found many other beautiful views with no lighthouse in that area though.

Wonderful way to spend the first day of spring. Few people there but that will change as summer arrives.

Nice area to hangout and do some sightseeing! A bunch of folks were yapping at the top of the stairs in front of the lighthouse so we didn t get great shots, but was nice walking around!

Very beautiful place. Take a walk down to the beach and make sure to hold on to the ropes. The beach is rocky but plenty of flat rocks to skip in the ocean. When the tide goes out lay on the rocks as they make the perfect lounge chair. Kick your feet up and enjoy the beautiful ocean and sailboats cursing the bay. Very quiet as most people dont explore the rocky beach.

A very neatly kept park, although the entrance road could use some maintenance. There are multiple places to stop for pictures along the trail to the lighthouse. Views are amazing.

I visited my son in Camden, ME. It was my first time in Maine. It was so beautiful and the trees were just starting to turn. My son, who is Captain of the Lazy Jack Schooner, and his partner took me out sightseeing that day. We visited Fort Knox and the lighthouse. It was perfect weather and a most enjoyable experience.

Easy walk into lighthouse area with nice views to ocean! Stairs and area nicely kept. The porta-potty by the light house keepers home was fine and stocked with paper, but the out-house just of the parking area was not as well maintained. Not sure if it should even have been open for use? Maybe should post a sign letting people know there is a facility at the light house site?

This compact park features impeccably groomed trails to a small, scenic lighthouse. Lighthouse is manned so you cannot go into it but platform around it field spectacular views across the bay. More challenging trails lead down to the water and in some places cobble beach. Serious altitude gain might make this a challenge for kiddies or the infirm. I counted the climb as 1000 steps. Definitely not for wheelchairs. Amenities include a gift shop, outhouse (porta potty), picnic tables and grills.

One of many lighthouses to visit in Maine. We walked up a very easy trail to get to the lighthouse. There's no fee to visit this lighthouse it does have a small gift shop to buy souvenirs and such. We enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful place! The staff was amazing and knowledgeable. It is free but consider leaving a donation in one of the boxes so it will stay open to the public. Definitely recommend.

I've lived in Maine for almost thirty years and have never be there down to this beautiful and serene spot! If you are visiting, and looking for a more secluded spot to relax, evenings here are unreal (just be sure to pack bug spray).

Very nice park and lighthouse - but difficult to get good pictures due to its location, and the amount of trees around the lighthouse.

I wasn't able to explore the whole park, but from what I did see... it was breathtaking! Views of the lighthouse, Camden Harbor, the ocean and the mountains.... what else could be more perfect? The little gift shop attendant was a delight! Answered all my questions and was super sweet! Can't wait to go back <3

Loved the museum, and a terrific trail to walk with the family. Not wheelchair friendly, xas it is quite a little walk down the rocky path to the lighthouse, but worth it! Saw 2 bald eagles nesting across the water!

Plenty of walking trails, light house isn't manned, but you can still go up and look around. Plenty of beach space and tables for lunch/ meal/ snack breaks. There's also a small cemetery on the way out/ in. The gift shop was closed, so we weren't able to purchase a souvenir
