Bought a used boat private sale. After first weekend using it, it wouldn t turn over. Called on a Friday afternoon and they told me I could drop it off and they would look at it. Had it back before close of business that day with a new solenoid! Weekend is looking good!!

Our experience has been consistent with that reported by Anne Smith. Delay after delay. Lie after lie. Useless promises. Still waiting for delivery of our fully paid for boat. Purchase agreement signed April 2021. We will be taking legal action because we have no other choice.

2 1/2 years and still waiting for our pontoon boat to be delivered. Kurt has used all the former posted excuses on us and more. If we hadn't planned to use his in and out service, we would have bought a trailer, gone to the shop and taken our fully paid for boat! Now he is tripping over his own lies, we have been more than patient and reasonable. 6 delivery cancellations in 2 weeks, classy way to conduct business! Deliver our boat!

Do not do business with Gagnon's. Their word is no good, and customer service is their lowest priority. They will say whatever they need to keep you happy. They ordered the wrong part for my boat, then they wouldn t refund my money. I finally got them to exchange the part for the correct one, but they repeatedly lied about ordering it, and after 36 days I had to force them to give me my money back. They also took 2-3 months to do an engine swap on our boat, while repeatedly telling us, "You will have it next week." The new motor is out of balance, and shakes the boat. They also put a new propeller on our boat without us telling them to do so, and they charged us for it. Do business anywhere else, it will save you a massive headache, tons of time, and loads of money.

The man that owns this place is a con artist. Kept my motor for 2 months because the work they were doing on it was so difficult. When I got the motor back, it failed again for the same reason. This time I took the water jacket off the motor myself only to find that all the work they said they did before was not done. They did nothing but take the jacket off put another gasket in and bolt it back together. They didn't clean, machine, or do anything to the mating surfaces that they said they had done. $450 for a fix that lasted 10 days.

These guys are awesome. I had ordered a 60 horse mercury 4 stroke motor for my pontoon boat. I showed up at the shop on the day they said the motor would be in as well as installed on my boat. They were just about finished having it all done when a an issue came up with the motor. They were just about to close but they were not letting me leave with out my boat being done. They found the problem which was a bad wire from the factory and fixed it. As promised I was on the lake the following day . Thank you Kurt and Randy!!!!!

We recently sold my dad's boat thru Gagnon's Boats & Motors in Livermore Falls. My dad had bought and traded in multiple boats with this dealership so we trusted them to sell my dad's boat on consignment. Unfortunately, they ended up taking advantage of us and our situation. They lied about when the boat was sold and the amount it was sold for I would highly recommend not doing business with them, they are not trust worthy. I have spoken to several people that have had issues with them for not do the work they are charged for, service issues and several other problems. I would highly recommend doing your research and selecting another dealer to work with.

Worst buying experience we have ever had. Do not buy from this dealer. He is less than honest and makes many promises,but never delivers. He knowingly sold us a damaged boat as new and undamaged.We always try to look for the best in people and trust them to be true to their word, but that was not the case with this dealer. This was a very stressful experience for us. We do not have a lot if money and bought this boat to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Don't make the same mistake we did. Buy your Starcraft boat from an honest dealer that has your best interest at heart. My rating is 0.

Just like other reviews, their word is no good. They say stuff just to keep you happy for another week. I am reporting them to the better business bureau. They have not refunded me my money for the wrong part they shipped me. And they do not respond to my emails now. 8/29/16 UpdateAfter reporting them to BBB I received a full refund.

Negative fifty! They have stolen money from my friends. Bought a boat from the boat show a YEAR AGO...still has not delivered the boat. They will not give money back or give us the boat. They are scammers and do not deserve any business.I will be posting every day until I hear that the Benjamin's have their money back. #givebackthemoney

Really wish I had read these posts prior to purchasing a pontoon boat this past winter. The Gagnon's are clearly nice people from what I can tell however, their ability to adequately staff the business and properly service the customer just seems to be lost on them. I guess when the economy is good, sales is going well, customer service is not a priority. Too bad because there is so much more to a business than sales...

Brought my boat in for repairs and walked out buying a used boat from their yard. Through the process Kurt and the staff at Gagnon's were great. Not being a full-time resident of the area and doing much of the transaction from southern Maine via the phone. Kurt was patient, understanding and went above and beyond to work with us and get our new (used) boat in the water. Before we left with the boat they took the time to run through the particulars of running our new boat as it was different type of engine from our old boat. Thank you Gagnon's.

Worst purchasing experience in my life. They rarely answer the phone once they had my money. The salesman lied for 3 weeks straight but never shipped my boat motor. Luckily I used a credit card and documented over 100 phone call attempts and 10 conversations filled with lies and deception.

The guy that runs this outfit is sorry example of a retail vendor, if not a person in general, and I would avoid doing business here. I drove a half hour to buy a part from him. Drove home and it was the wrong one. Drove back again (1 hour round trip) to get the what was supposed to be the right one. All he could do was laugh about the fact that he gave me the wrong part, and never apologized. I brought the second part home and it also did not fit. I called him to tell him and that I would be returning this part, and told me he would not give my money back and just store credit. Unreal. This guy does not belong in the retail industry. Avoid him.

I bought a 17ft Lund(or thought I had) in January 2015. I decided to leave the boat at Gagnons for the winter because it was shrink wrapped and safe in the middle of all the other boats. I gave the owner all the monies owed and simply waited for winter to end.After several phone calls this Spring to have him add some things to the boat, I called this morning, April 23rd to find out if the boat was ready. I was told by the owner that they were working on it and I should have it by the weekend for ice out. He then started mentioning something about how he was waiting to see if this other deal was going to go through and if this lady was going to be approved for this loan. I asked him what that had to do with my boat. I was then told that if her deal did not go through he would have to give the boat back to her. I said what boat and he said the Lund. I was beside myself. He tried to tell me that he had mentioned that to me earlier but I said that he hadn't and why would he take my money if that were the case. He told me that he had not cashed either of my checks.I contacted the Livermore Falls PD and they sent an officer with me to either get my boat or my money. When we walked in, I asked the owner for my boat and he said her deal fell through and he had to give the boat back to her. He returned my checks and apologized(empty).All I can say is stay away from this place if you dream of owning a boat

By far the most unpleasant experience i have ever had with a business of this kind. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT DOING BUSINESS WITH Gagnon Boats and Motors.They never produced a piece of the work that i paid for,. They did additional work on one part of the job without my pre-approval and charged me a large sum for it They returned my boat with an inoperable motor. They strung me along with a series of excuses only to discover that the awning which was paid for was never made.I strongly recommend that you DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GAGNON BOATS AND MOTORS

Another convenient and professional pontoon boat pickup with Randy this week. Gagnon Boats has the good fortune of having Randy working with them. He's friendly and knowledgeable. Nice way to bring closure to my 5th summer season on Tripp Lake.

Wow.. It is so disturbing to see we are not the only ones. Kurt has owed us pontoon boat seats for 3 years and he has continually lied about it. He is a very polished liar. We have detailed conversations and recordings and are pursuing legal action. He has made a huge retirement purchase experience awful. Don't go here.

Do not buy a boat from this dealer, my sister and brother-in-law bought a new pontoon boat at the Augusta Boat Show in early March from this dealer. They were told the boat would be ready in six to eight weeks. Now 5 months later they still don't have the boat. The dealer always promises the boat will be available next week but like all the other reviews say about this dealer he NEVER DELIVERS.

Used "online" form to order parts. No tracking number, no order confirmation, no communication at all. Finally called after 2 weeks and the lady who answered the phone was completely rude and demeaning. Never received the part. On a positive note, they never charged my credit card.

Terrible service. I gave them a list in October and 2 weeks notice in may and nothing was done when i went to pick it up. 10 days later they called and said to pick it up and the tack and trim gauge still doesnt work which they disconnected the year before. And charged me to check them out.

Worst experience ive ever had..dont go here..there son "the mechanic" couldn't even fix my boat..they broke my shift controler left trash grease and coffee stains on the boats interior and then had balls enough to charge $900 for a boat not even running after working on it for 4 weeks!! DO NOT GO HERE...THEY SHOULD BE ON FILE WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FOR FRAUD...

Don't walk run as fast as you can from gagnon boats this is absolutely the worst place to buy anything much less Your dream boat nothing but lies and excuses the owner has a cover story for everything and will not take responsibility for nothing absolutely the worst experience I've ever had my wife's pontoon dream boat she waited so long for turned into a complete night mare I can't begin to go into all the heart ach we've been threw and the loss of are hard earned money for something we now dislike so please don't make the mistake we made

Very nice to deal with !! Great attitude ! Cool town , Livermore falls Maine is a must visit !
