Can't leave a zero star. Been a negative experience for years now. But keeps getting worse. Doctors office sends over a script. Pharmacy says it's not ready 3 days later so I wait for another 40 minutes while they "finish it up" because they were supposedly filling it when I got there. They call me to the counter to let me know they in fact don't actually have it but will order it. But it won't be ready for another 2 days.Send in refills on Friday they say they'll be ready for pickup on Tues so wait until the following Saturday night to pickup and they still are not done. And everyone is going home for the night. Are you kidding? 7 days to fill an antiseizure medication. So finally at 9 am on a Sunday 8 days after being ordered I get a notification that my prescription is ready for pickup. Amazing customer service. Not. And it's always an different excuse. If anyone else was that bad at their job they'd be fired.

Like everyone I suppose, there are moments the lines have been challenging and the remodeling of the entire store, including the pharmacy, has impacted the employees as much as us customers. In the midst of all of that, the crew behind the counter has gone out of their way to assist me with a number of medication related issues at lifted a fair amount of stress off my shoulders. My hat is off to them and I offer a most sincere thank you to them.

The pharmacist are always straight out. The wait time is unacceptable. I witnessed an elderly man pass out waiting in line. The pharmacy personnel are ok but they need more pharmacist. The auto fill will call saying my meds are ready and when I get to the store they are never ready. I've had to go back for my medication several times before I am able to get it.I can't schedule an appointment on line to get my annual shots. It has gotten ridiculous over the past year or two.

You could literally die in line waiting for your scrip. I call ahead to be sure my prescription is ready, they assure me it is or will be .(I also wait a few days to a week after it s called in) the last two times, not ready and were out of my drug. After being told on the phone it would be ready or was already. Today they told me my insurance wouldn t cover it I said fine we ll figure that out later, she was holding it in her hand then said it s not ready. Ugh. The woman behind me in line was there for her blood pressure medication which they were also out of. For her it had been a week. Then as I left the lines to buy groceries where at least 30 people deep. This store and pharmacy are horrible. I believe the employees try but management is so horrible nobody could make an experience there a positive one.

GIVE YOURSELF 60 MINS TO PICKUP. This pharmacy is the only one in the area, serving a lot (!!!) people especially considering we are in the eldest county in the country. The pharmacists and technicians do their very best to help everyone and stay calm during a rush, which happens from when they open until they close.NOTE: they are taking lunch from 2-2:30 now, which I m sure will cause chaos, but everyone has to eat and I m grateful it s not at noon which is seemingly when I always remember to get my prescription.Thank you to the pharmacy for staying open and dealing with stress everyday, we couldn t do it without ya!

How do you loose a prescription in the system. Seriously. Was in the night before, the lady behind the counter told me it would be 45 mins to fill. I said can I come back in the morning to pick it up she said yes. Get here and nothing in the system, had to call doctors to have them resend the order. New systems or not this should not happen. To be told it's going to be another 45 minute wait this is ridiculous. People need there medications on time. Not happy at all.

Not well managed, staff shortages make for ridiculously long lines, prescriptions are often not ready days after they ve been received. All of this makes for a truly terrible pharmacy experience.

Every time I need a prescription refilled I call, and they don t answer. I spend days calling, and if you don t call, you end up waiting in line for 30 minutes, and then waiting another 30 minutes for them to get your meds ready.

Claims of it will be are lies wait in line later the same day after being told in morning it'll be ready in half hour still not really. Then told sorry we're a week behind.... really going to take all my business elsewhere including groceries

The Pharmacy at the Damariscotta store is horrible! Long waits, prescriptions take several days to fill. We get phone calls telling us our pills are ready, get there, wait in a ridiculously long line only to find out they can t find it! The people that work there are not to blame, it s that they are under staffed big time. I m trying to contact whoever is in charge of this pharmacy but I can t find any contact information. I d switch to Walgreens down the street but they are just as bad and the store is filthy. We need a new and better option in our town.

first off, you cannot get a hold of anyone over the phone. It takes weeks to fill prescriptions and they are never ready when you get there! the line is worse than reds eats.

The employees here need to be retrained regarding communication, efficiency, and multi-tasking. This is the third issue I've had with this pharmacy, and will be taking my whole family's business elsewhere. Appalling.

I scheduled for a covid booster 3 weeks ago. I received a call this morning from a nice gentleman saying they are cancelling my appointment that was later today. There was no offer to reschedule, to be put on a wait list, or anything else, just an apology. I would have to re-schedule online as I did before with no allowance given for the 3 weeks I have already waited.I understand they are short staffed, but this is unacceptable. If I had been given notice some time ago that this might happen, I would have attempted to make other arrangements. Now I am that much later in receiving my booster, putting myself and my family at increased risk of life and limb, particularly with the current covid upswing. If they are unable to keep appointments, they need to change their operation. Do not take appointments if they cannot keep them. Pay their employees better. Something!Absolutely unacceptable. I am livid.

I m giving 2 stars because there was a time when the pharmacy was efficient. I have never left a review in my life for anything, negative or positive, but I am thoroughly tired of this pharmacy. There is little to no urgency on part of the staff to get people the medications their life depends on. I have had numerous occasions of prescriptions being incomplete or not correct in some way and these are medications I need in order to function. When I express there is an error it is often meat with a defensive or accusative posture and when I finally expressed my frustration to an employee and that I need these medications to keep any semblance of health it was meat with essentially, I don t know what you want me to do about it . I m writing this review because tonight I opened a medication I had just picked up only to see that, yet again, it was an incomplete prescription. Safe to say I ll be taking my business elsewhere.

horrible experiences for months now. I get the same medicine every month for 10 years at least now. I was at Walgreens and all there was was incompetence. Always a problem, always so i switched to Hannaford thinking it would be better.. it has been worse. My Dr called it in herself this am . I called to make sure it's all ready, the 25s and the 12sand they say an hour it will be done. I go there to pick it up and they only have 1 strength ready. I need 12s and 25s , they tell me my Dr didn't call in the 25s when I KNOW she did. it's on my profile that she did. So I have to go without my pain medicine that I have been on for over 10 years. Pharmacist didnt even try to figure it out. she says there is several rxs for the patches, which is untrue. I've been getting THE SAME DOSE of these patches for over 10 years. . my Dr spoke directly to the Pharmasist she told me. Whtat is wrong with these people??Why did they tell me all was ready for pick up, the 12s and the 25s .Do peoples words mean nothing to them?? nothing??I cant imagine being that incompetent in what you do for a living. to just say anything and not have yo back up your words.no one cares about what they are doing or causing any pain because of their actions am just so astounded. I hope I never get that uncaring to others.

Can t get meds filled in any sort of reasonable timeframe (we re talking days to a week after a med is called in and still not filled), can t get ahold of anyone in the pharmacy, literally running out of critical medications on a regular basis.

Not the best. slow. RXs not ready when they claim they are. ROBO notice system lies. they are not ready. this has happened 3-4 times. the prices for my insurance are lowish. the Covid booster was given after u wait in line with all the other Rx people. Not much of a segregated area. They didnt have them for a longtime after most places did. I went to the walk in clinic at Midcoast. That was excellent, fast and safe.

Called in prescription two days ago. Was told it would be ready at 3pm yesterday. I waited in line for over half an hour to be told it would be another ten minutes. I waited over half and hour again as they "lost" it. Worse service at a pharmacy I've ever experienced.

They're sooo slow. My prescription refill was sent a day prior to me picking it up, and they still hadn't filled it by the time I got there (24 hours later.) So I had to wait..even though I had called them that morning, and they told me it would be filled by 1pm. I actually don't normally use this pharmacy (because I have always had issues.) But when I am forced to, I always dread it.

Went to pick up refill which had been called in the day before, was not ready, was told 10 minutes. I shopped, I checked out, 20 minutes later,I went back and still not ready!! I waited 45 minutes and had to leave! Never anyone saying a thing, like we are having a problem, or anything, just totally ignored!! They should not be telling people 10 minutes when they have no idea how long it will take and they should be updating the person waiting!! Very rude to think our time means nothing!! If its going to b half an hour say so!! Don,t say 10 min. And then not say anything for almost an hour!! Terrible customer service, and this happens all the time to many, many people!! Needs to be talked about and changed, please??

For some reason when I called to refill my RX and find out the status of my husband's refill speaking with someone wasn't even an option. So I left a message with our information, my number and asked for a return phone call. That was 2 days ago and I haven't heard back. So far this morning I have spent 55 min on hold trying to get through to them. It's annoying because once or twice a minute you have to press 1 to remain on hold. At this point I'm doing it out of spite because there is no way someone hasn't had the opportunity to pick it up the phone after all this time. They must be deliberately ignoring it. We have had problems with this pharmacy in the past but this is the last straw. When I called my doctors office to have my pharmacy changed I told the receptionist that Damarascotta Hannaford was nothing but trouble to which she replied, "Oh, I know. Im sorry."

This is the worst Pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Erica, the pharmacy manager, is rude and judges people. She is very inconsiderate and loses her temper and is unprofessional. There is only one pharmacist, Andy B., that is decent. I suggest not even using this Pharmacy, but if you do I would only use it when Andy is on shift. I called to see if my medication was ready the other day and was told to shut up and was hung up on. Erica and most of the staff is very rude and has horrible customer service skills.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PHARMACY. I m reporting them for price gauging. I was quoted over $600 for a basic antibiotic prescription that costs just over $100 at Nathan s Pharmacy down the street. I was only using them because I thought they deliver with ups since I wasn t feeling well. Horrible!

Unpleasant staff, super slow at filling prescriptions. Regular medication sometimes takes a week for them to fill.

Damariscotta Hannaford Pharmacy currently employs extraordinarily judgmental people. They are distrustful and dismissing of their customers. Pharmacy manager Erica Wolfe is rude, disgustingly disrespectful, and casts long disapproving stares towards any an all who oppose her "authority" in store or on the phone. Blatantly visible to all. Come watch for a show. I have attended this Pharmacy for medications for sometime now. The only Pharmacist with any compassion is Andy Bernier, who should take managerial duty effective immediately.

The people that work at this pharmacy are the definition of incompetence.I m not going to bore everyone with the details of my horrible experience but I will never deal with a hannaford pharmacy ever again. Absolutely pathetic.

Lots of people here, including one grocery employee, wearing only face shields, which the CDC says are insufficient to protect against spread of COVID-19. Come on, people. It s not rocket science. Be better neighbors. I d recommend staying away from here for now.
