We were coming thru and needed a quick overnight stay. The owner Shirley was extremely helpful and hooked us up with a beautiful cabin! The camp host, Sherrie was awesome! These ladies ROCK! We stayed a second night because we liked it so much. Bathrooms and laundry area are clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend this campground! Check out those beautiful cabins if u don't have a camper. Awesome place.

We stayed in Cottonwood Country for a month and a few days in a cozy little spot in the back of the campground. The natural vibes and wilderness feel of Cottonwood are better than any place we have been to in the past. There are plenty of sites, both RV and Tent camping, for how small the park is, and they are all decent in size and seclusion. There are also cabins, and even a tree house, available to rent, and all of them are adorable and clean. Very well maintained, and the owners, camp hosts, and employees are all great! Easily has the nicest bath house we have ever used at any other campground and is consistently clean and usable. You would be wrong to miss out on the opportunity to stay at Cottonwood Camping and RV Park! ATV rentals, a local farm stand, and easy access to the 87-mile Sunset Trail are just a few of the reasons to book your stay today!Nearby activities: Close proximity to Great Wass Island Preserve, which is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever witnessed. An hour and fifteen minutes from Acadia National Park. There is a gas station, drive-in diner, and Wild Blueberry Land less than five minutes down the road as well! Endless amounts of natural fun, and wilderness to explore!

First of all the location of Cottonwood is perfect. Close to everything. We don t ATV but we were passing through for a week. Shirley is extremely nice, busy all over the place. The camp host Sheri went way above and beyond making sure our stay was good. Laundry room was very clean. It s a cute park and the only reason for 4 stars is the ground is somewhat level. When you are so nice , you allow an old rv to stay it kind of makes it look rundown. I do understand why, I m just mentioning it. When they get that part of RT 1 road done it will be way better. Shirley told us to go to the blueberry barons and so glad we did.. We also drove up to the Lubec lighthouse and I recommend hiking the coastal trail. Thanks for a great week. I can t believe I didn t take any pictures of the park.

Very nice campground with long wide pull thrus in a wooded setting. Tables and fire rings as well as wifi.Shirley and Sheri are awesome hosts. Bring your ATV or rent one here as there seems to be good riding trails right from the campground. Gravel roads and sites separated by lots of trees and grassy areas. Well maintained and easy access from US-1. Reasonable rates, plan to stay more than a few days because it's a great spot hidden in Blueberry Country

I'm traveling by motorcycle and found this campground purely by chance while making my way across Maine. Even though I'm a bit early for their season, the owner was absolutely amazing both over the phone and in person. I was able to stay in an adorable mini cabin that was more than comfortable for just myself and belongings. The shower and bath house is done up beautifully with live edge wood counters and good, hot water. She even pointed out on the map an area where I could ride some trails while I was here. They also offer ATV and SXS rentals! 10/10 would recommend.

What a great experience. Our hostess was was really nice and a joy to talk with. The campground was quiet, not stuffed to the gills as many are, and the bathrooms and cabins quite clean. The tenting and cabins area, where we were, is particularly nice. Really enjoyed our overnight and highly recommend.

No option for zero stars. Very disorganized, chaotic experience from the moment we pulled in. Made a reservation for two RV sites and arrived very unwelcome by the host and owner - - only then were we told we would have to go to a lot right in front of a tiny hut that a stranger could also rent. Then told by the owner that 8 people was too big of a group - but we booked two RV sites that permits 4 per site. Plus, we were not permitted to use the showers because she didnt know our group was this big. When we booked the reservation it was discussed how our group was there the prior year for ATV season. She must have forgotten. Seems a bit off to have a campground directly off the DEST, advertising as a ATV destination and not to expect guests to be hauling some kind of toy. If it was a concern then that definitely should have been discussed when we called to book. Thinking back, when we called to book the reservation the owner was all over the place / confusing so that should have been 100% a red flag. Finally, I informed the owner that there was a peeper on her campground. She did not care. No genuine concern. What could she do? Not a thing but a little smidge of concern would have been the respectful thing to do as a business owner. (Not to mention $4500 was stolen from a white truck the 2nd day; cops called; more chaos). I saw a man standing right outside our door - no one should have been there whatsoever - trying to hide behind some of my wet riding gear, giving 100% peeping tom/creeper vibes while trying not to move. White man (saw all the veins on his arms), jeans, dark blue shirt, sneaker/hiking sneaker looking shoes. My advice just be cautious. The DEST tho. What incredible riding!!

Nice camping areas and the treehouse was a blast. Kids said, "best birthday ever!" The treehouse was more equipped than expected (had basic camp cookware, washbasin for doing dishes, toilet paper and pillows etc.) so we probably over packed, but either way was awesome. I'd rather be prepared! Hiking it in and out with the provided cart was no problem!

Stayed there beginning of September. Stayed in the tee pee. We had an amazing time even with the threat of a hurricane that week. The owners were amazing. They offered us even the use of a camper when the rain got too bad. ATV was a blast. Took one out for the day and took a lunch with us. Campground had easy access to trails. We will definitely try and get back and stay again. Thank you to the owners for a memorable trip! Very clean restrooms and shower accommodations.

We were desperate for lodging when we found out you can't camp in the state park we went to visit. We found this gem through a phone call and I'm so glad we did! Our host Sheri made sure we were comfortable and was super pleasant and hospitable! We had the group camping area to ourselves! Bathrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. We will Def be coming back again!

Great place! We were about 18 people car camping with tents and fit in the group campsite (T9) with plenty of room to spare the host did a great job accommodating a group of our size and got us extra logs, etc. to sit on around the fire pit. Showers and bathrooms were super clean and modern. Location was ideal for exploring coastal Maine (Cutler Coast, Jasper Beach, etc.) and price was super reasonable.(Mosquitoes were all over us, but that's just Maine in the summer...)10/10 would stay here again. Thanks!

Amazing little spot along the coast. Stopped in after visiting Acadia and the cabin was excellent. There was a mini fridge and a kcup coffee maker (with pods). The bath house is very clean and there is lots of hot water. There is also a private tree house for rent. Excellent pricing and the owners are super friendly.

The campground was easy to find, right across route 1 from a giant blueberry. Shirley and her husband are very nice and had a few extra things set up for me when I got here. Bath house is great! I stayed in their new tiny cabin, which was warm, well constructed, and big enough for a queen air bed if you need it.

Dale and I and Max your dog stayed for two months. My husband was there for a job. Shirley is a lovely lady and great. You will like her very much. Her prices are great. The campground is clean, quiet. And right at the ATV trails. We will be coming back very year to camp and use the ATV trails. The bathrooms were always clean. I'm going to miss being there. Thank you so much Shirley for making me feel at home and Wecomed. See you next year.

We stayed here for 15 weeks over summer and loved it. As far as campgrounds go, this one is amazing. We were lucky enough to have a site off to the side and we're surrounded by trees. Prices were very reasonable and bathrooms were always clean. Lots of trails and swimming to enjoy with our dogs. We also loved the tree house for when visitors came. I certainly wish all campgrounds were like this one!

Lovely campsite in the woods. Sites are spaced nicely to allow for privacy and there are a variety of sites to choose from i.e. cabin, RV, rent, or teepee. The bathhouse is nice with private showers and toilets plus a washer and dryer on site. Campfire wood is available for purchase and ATV's are available for rent. Gorgeous wood all around for exploring and hiking. Shirley, the owner, is very nice and accommodating. However, it is important to note that this is a new campsite and is still under construction in some areas. We arrived late in the day and got the last available RV site which is next to a rock pile and construction equipment. My son loved this but my husband did not. Most of the sites are fantastic but a few are near new development i.e. construction, so if this is gonna be a problem for you, be sure to talk with Shirley before booking to avoid this. Overall, this campsite is very peaceful and relaxing.

Awesome campground. Maybe the best bathrooms of any campground I ve ever been too! The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We had a good size site in the woods (T1) which provided some nice shade.

This place is great and the prices are very reasonable! Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The campground is fairly new and does not have a camp store, so bring what you need. If you forget anything, there is a gas station across the street with a nice grill and good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plan on going to the blueberry place also across the street. The camp.provides easy access to the Down East Sunrise Trail and all of its connections.
