I have known the Troegners for nearly 40 years. There's a lot of talent in that family. They have taken care of at least 10 of my vehicles. I am always satisfied with their service. Most recently Joe replaced a broken oil plug, from an earlier service by a dealer, in my BMW Z3. Thanks Joe for saving me from having a serious engine failure.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Troegner's replaced my brakes and rotors plus I needed an oil change and tire rotation. They stayed an extra hour on a Friday evening to get it done, and they didn't charge for the tire rotation because per Joe "the tires already had to come off". On top of that, they filled up my windshield washer fluid that I've been procrastinating for weeks and they didn't even mention it. As a busy mom in school full time who is commuting 3 hours every day, little stuff like that really stands out. My parents have gone to Troegner's for years and even living an hour away they're still my preferred garage. Definitely recommend

Joe has helped my family and I more times than I can remember. An asset to the community. Takes time to answer questions about vehicles he's not even going to work on. Honest quality mechanic.

Before I started bringing my vehicles to Troegner s Auto Service I tried many other auto repair shops. Joe Troegner's is by far the best! I believe their work is top notch, but their prices are comparatively low. Troegner is very honest, and he truly cares about his customers. If they say you need something done, then you really do. The business has so many loyal customers that they are very busy; so if it s not an emergency you may have to schedule out a bit. Pretty close to Perfect!

I wish I could have taken Joe Troegner's with us when we moved! Even though we moved 1400 miles away, I will give this Auto shop and used car sales, the highest rating and recommend him to anyone who is looking for an honest mechanic who does a great job, and does it for a reasonable price!! I first took my car to Joe's after getting an estimate somewhere else, for a second opinion. He told me I didn't need half the things that I was told that I needed, and he did do what work that he said I needed for under $200.00 instead of the nearly $2000. 00 that I had been quoted.

High quality work that is done right! First visit to Joe's and I knew right away was in good hands. Been a tough week given the current world crisis and they still got it done. A+ work and attention to detail. The truck has never shifted this good ! Thank you Joe, Laury and staff for being real people with talent . You have my business.

We've been faithful fans of Joe for many years. Honest, reliable and frugal, he takes great care of our cars, telling it like it is and saving us money whenever possible. On rare occasions he gets backed up and keeps the car an extra day, likely by trying to take care of too many customers at one time.Joe Troegner gets my highest recommendation!

I recently experienced transmission problems while visiting on vacation. I was very impressed with Troegner's service. They quickly and accurately diagnosed the cause, and when I explained my deadline for leaving to go home, the answer was "we'll make it happen" .... and they did.A very satisfying experience ... if I lived nearby, THIS is not only where I'd have my work done, but where I'd advise my 18 year old daughter to have HER work done!

I'm not a regular customer but last night, at closing, I pulled in to Troegner's after a dead battery jumpstart by AAA. Though it was not their fault as soon as I left the parking lot my power steering started to fail and a clunk started at the back of my car. I drove about a mile and managed to pull in to Troegner's. Closing time or not they immediately started to diagnose and resolve the issue and finally determined I needed a new battery. They did not hesitate in staying late to address my issue and charged me only for the battery, no labor. If that's how they do business you won't go wrong if you have them work on your vehicle. I'm about 20 miles away and am seriously considering having them be my go to service center.Service: Battery

Ive returned to Joe over and over again for the past 10 years of living in Maine. Not only is his business trustworthy and fair. The entire staff is always amazing to deal with.

He charged me $355 to replace the distributor that wasn't done on my truck. And tried to charge me a extra $500 for a fuel pump that wasn't bad and everyday he had a different excuses and a new fault why my truck wasn't this guy is a scammer so futher customer beware of these so-called good mechanics they will rob you blind. Two years ago i brought escape for an inspection sticker and he said it was going to need an extra $800. Worth of work done for it to pass after he just charge me $2500. To replace the engine so i smells a something wasn't right and i told him not to touch it and i brought to a different shop and it passes .I'm just lost for words I feel so disgusted .Service: Engine repair

This is where I take my care for anything bigger than an oil change. So far they are the only people who haven't tried to screw me over. I only wish I still lived close to them so that I could use them for everything. HIGHLY recommend.

Can't say enough nice things about this repair shop. I was a tourist that just started my vacation driving from New York thru Vermont & New Hampshire and finishing by spending a week in Southern Maine. On my way thru Vermont I could hear one of my wheel bearings getting worse. I thought I could make it all the way through my vacation and have the bearing replaced when I got back home. By the time I hit New Hampshire, the bearing was moaning loudly. In a panic and fearing that I couldn't make it home, I Googled mechanic shops in Biddeford, Maine. This shop came to the top of the list.After explaining my situation to the secretary, I got a quick diagnosis (front left wheel bearing) and was able to schedule a fix at this shop 2 days later. I hung out in the waiting room throughout the entire job (free wifi :)) and in 2 hours the bearing was fixed at an incredibly reasonable price. As an out of towner, they could have easily had me over a barrel. If I was a local, this would be my regular shop.
