As a new transplant from North Dakota, I was HIGHLY impressed with the level of service and welcoming feeling I received. Joe and his crew explained everything in layman's terms and prioritized my services to make it easy on my budget. Thank you again Joe and the guys for making this NoDak mama feel welcome.

On three separate occasions now, I ve called ahead to VIP to say I was on my way in and my vehicle needed a noise or smoke or something diagnosed. Each time, I was told, bring it right in, we ll see you when you get here and help you out and they meant what they said. This place has good people and hard workers. They understand how important a vehicle is to someone in a rural area and they do their best to get me back on the road every time. Much appreciated!

In the end I decided not to repair the car, but to sell it. That said, Candy and Joe were excellent to work with. Candy went above and beyond to put the car on a lift and explain to me why the work was needed. Have never had a shop do that. Joe explained a few mechanical points that my mechanic friend said were right on the money. Additionally their prices were very fair. If I had decided not to sell the car (as is) I would definitely had them do the work. I have co-workers who have taken their vehicles her and they have also had very positive experiences. I'll bring my next car there, no question.

The staff are always so knowledgeable and courteous. I recently had a fuel replaced and then it decided to stop working without warning. Due to it being under warranty the crew at VIP pushed up my repair so that I had my car in working order again I. No time even though they were extremely busy.

Tried to sell me 4 tires when I only needed 2 for a specific reason. Tried to tell me it was illegal to only sell me 2 tires because it was an all wheel drive. Trouble is, I know better. And when I called them out on it they started back peddling nonsense about company policy. It s an up sell, not a law. Not the first time VIP staff has lied to a mechanic and been caught. Bright then a rear wheel drive with NO rear alignment adjustments and they told me I needed a 4 wheel alignment. When I called them out on it, they said well it s a compensative rear alignment I m going to start going around with a hidden camera and posting this stuff online. I can read through the comments section and see all the people you ripped off who think you actually helped them DON T LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. VIP is TRASH

Thank you to VIP tires! We were in Belfast for my wedding a couple months ago and ended up with a deflating tire the night we arrived in town. Joe was able to fit me in same day when I drove in when they opened, and they did not charge me for the patch/plug that was fixed by early afternoon.

I can t explain enough what a great experience this was for me. Joe at the helm guided me through the process of getting my new tires to checking my car over for safety. This is huge for an older single gal. Trust worthy and efficient!!!

They never cease to amaze me at VIP ! Candy is awesome, always makes time to talk to you and explain things, even at the end of a busy day ! And the guys are always right there to help you out, Anthony, I m talking about you ( and the rest really) . I m impressed !

Counter person was so very kind and helpful in correcting a potentially serious problem created by a service department in another town (not a VIP store). He explained exactly what documentation I needed in order to get a state inspection and worked to get the inspection done quickly. I am so impressed with the service that I have decided to use the Belfast VIP for all my vehicle service needs. Thank you guys so much.

Meh. Waiting room was messy, restroom was messy, tech did not set tire pressure the way I requested, sales person did not clarify total bill (just tire cost), loud chitchat by the techs in their work area was unappealing. Town Fair has been much better over the years.Service: TiresService: Tires

Joe, Jason, and the rest of the team at VIP Tires and Service are outstanding. I got a nail in my tire while I was traveling out of town. I have special wheels on the car so finding replacement tires was a bit tricky. The team at VIP went out of their way to find suitable replacement tires, order them, and install them during my trip. They took great care of me and I am so grateful they saved the rest of my trip! Thanks, guys!!

Excellent services at this VIP, and kudos to service manager Joe Whiting. They worked hard to get a warranty refund for parts from another service station in order to lower the bill, and gave us the AAA discount. We appreciate this extra effort to help with the costs of the repair, as well as the courtesy, professionalism, and speed of service at this branch.Service: Brakes

12/30/2023 I just want to update this and tell you how much I continue to appreciate VIP, especially with Joe in charge! I bought a new car and have been servicing it through the dealership, Downeast Toyota, and they nearly ruined my car! I had a feeling, so brought it to VIP where they discovered the dealership had not properly tightened things after doing TWO alignments, on a 2022 car! VIP properly aligned and tightened, and also informed me the oil changes should happen every 5,000 miles, not 10,000 as the dealership lead me to believe! So she is all fixed up now and rides the smoothest ever! NEVER going anywhere else!(4 years ago)Always the BEST! 100% honest and best service 6 years and counting!!! They always scan the computer to ensure they are offering me all of the deals currently running, always scan my car to detect any issues before they become major problems when I get regular oil changes because I ask them to (which would give a mechanic full license to make stuff up, but 99% of the time they smile and tell me she's MINT!). I trust and rely on VIP to take care of me and my car 100%. It is like having a husband but with none of the problems!!!

Best service center ever! I stopped in on my way out of town because I was having issues with tire pressure. I went in expecting to need a new tire, but hey took a look and turns out I just had a nail stuck in the tire and they fixed it up. Best of all, they didn't even charge me for it! I feel silly just now getting around to this. A few years ago my girlfriend and I were traveling up to Acadia National Park, only to have our breaks give out 2 hours away. We called this place the night of, and showed up the next morning. The crew was eating breakfast as we pulled in (literally the crack of dawn). There was no promise that we could be worked in, as they were slammed. I expressed urgency, and VIP delivered. After about 2 hours, we got the call that we were good to go.The overall assistance with our issue, great customer service, and conversation about Eastern vs Western NC Barbecue made this a great experience. These guys are dedicated to the craft and to the people. I believe we spoke with Paul, but can't quite remember. Can't thank this place enough. Belfast's Finest!

I got new tires a few months ago. Service manager Joe took the time to get me to work while the tires were being installed. Today I had a check engine light come on so I stopped in. Joe scanned the truck and found the code. Turns out it was the gas cap. He set me up with parts. No charge at all. Thank you for the excellent service. Candy was courteous and accommodating and was able to get me in for an oil and filter change along with an inspection within the week! Joe was great in explaining things I was unsure of and was prompt in getting both cars in and worked on in a timely manner. Very informative as it relates to tires and brakes! My experience at VIP was very pleasant. My vehicle was due for an inspection sticker this month and because of the holiday weekend I was afraid I would not get it done in time. The manager, Candy Dent, was able to fit me in and even made time for an oil change at this very busy time. I was very impressed with her, and everyone else in the shop. I've been a customer with this location for years. Recently I had a blown tire and called them to replace all four. Being the thrifty guy I am, I also called multiple other tire shops in the area. After finding a set for significantly less money I called them back and said I had to go with the other shop. To my surprise they said they would match the price to keep my business and squeezed me in to an already full schedule that day. Candy and Joe went above and beyond the call of duty and I won't go anywhere else for tires. FYI, this is the only review I have ever written. Do not hesitate to frequent this business! Vip offers all you car needs. From tires to engine repair they will get it done. They offer state inspections but make sure to make an appointment. The employees have always been helpful and courteous. There is a waiting room so you can relax while your automobile is being repaired. There is a TV and coffee station as well as magazines. No matter your cars needs vip has you covered!!!!!excellent service at reasonable prices. Hit the thumbs up if this is helpful!!!!

VIP tire and auto repair in Belfast, ME.It is a pleasure to give this review. The staff is qualified, courteous, and knowledgeable about their products and services. I dealt with Candy, the assistant manager. My MB C300 needed new tires, and the front brakes were making a noise. She pointed out a new brand of tires from the Netherlands, Vredestein. These are top-tier tires, and all German auto magazines rank them at the same level as Michelin or Continental. She devised a plan to install four tires for $500 less than the Mercedes-Benz dealership would have charged for similar Continental tires. She maximized my Veteran s Benefits.The Brake noise was just dirt from the Maine Mud season. The check engine light was correctly diagnosed, and a plan to affect a minor repair was made.Am I pleased? Yes! You will find excellent professional service from the whole team.
