After being served by another well-known tire company in the Northeast for 20 years, I became dissatisfied and switched to Don Foshay's Discount Tire. I am glad we made the change. What a contrast! Although my tire selection is more limited at Don's, many other factors make a tremendous positive difference for me. Don's is superior, starting with their clean, pleasant-smelling, organized facility with clear pricing in view. The attentive, courteous staff has exceeded my high expectations during all three of my visits. Even the restrooms meet my wife's approval. We are very pleased with our decision to do business with Don Foshay's Discount Tire.

My experiences have always been phenomenal !!All the employees are very honest and knowledgeable.I went in for an oil change and they let me know I needed 2 new back tires. I had asked about my front tires and they said I didn't need them right now, they could've easily told me I needed 4 new tires.I recommend them to everyone I know !!

I always expect excellent service from Don Foshay's Discount Tire, and that's ALWAYS what I get; HONEST, thoroughly competent, excellent service; and Belfast Store Manager, Dustin Nadeau makes sure of that.I recently brought in my car for tire servicing, and had several questions about what was being done, and Mr. Nadeau patiently answered them all, with thorough explanations in a way that I would understand, and that left me with peace of mind. Also, he added, "I don't want anyone to ever leave here without being 100% satisfied"

Worst place ever! Liars too, woman said I needed a new steering rack and that it was pissing fluids and if I drove it 30 miles per hour I d die. My tuner shop looked at it a year later and asked why the quoted me for that. Liars and cheaters save your money honestly would give them zero stars if I could. Hope that place shuts down.

EDITED: Poor customer service and over priced, don t waste your time!After posting this review the owner of the company reached out directly to me to see what happened and how they could correct my experience.After describing what occurred he apologized for the poor experience and offer to provide a state inspection and fix the one item that needed replaced to pass, all for free!

This place is a lifesaver with angels Adam, Michael, & John working there. I was on a roadtrip vacation & was experiencing tire trouble. I drove to a shop that couldn t get my wheel lock off, but these guys can! miracle workers. I went ahead & replaced all 4 tires& they even gave me a huge discount! My husband and I were just short of Belfast when the light on our Subaru came on indicating low tire pressure. We stopped at the Irving Station but the air machine didn t work. We had seen Don Foshay s just before the Irving Station, so we went back and they immediately came out and checked our tire pressure and put the correct amount of air in, and they didn t even want to charge us. They saved our day trip to Bar Harbor. I didn t get the technician s name, but we are so grateful! Thank you!Service: Tires

The shop has been a treasure for me. Not only do they take care of my Subaru for general maintenance, bought a truck camper and truck and the mechanic here rewired everything so that the camper has power, and installed airbags, tiedowns, extra fuses for power. They do great work and never make me feel foolish for not knowing everything. They take the time to explain, charge reasonable rates, and go the extra mile. I am changing my review to a one star. I had break issues last year of which at the time the district manager resolved, however, the breaks kept going bad over the span of two month increments for over a year and when I specifically asked the garage to determine the cause of the issue they originally told me "you must be riding the breaks", the second time I was told there was no issue and so it continued. This most recent time the person I dealt with was condescending and rude and told me the issue with the breaks were due to another part needing to be replaced and my warrantee is now null.Upon picking up my vehicle it is driving worse than I dropped it off, shaking while driving (which it was not prior) and vibrating even worse than before when breaking. When I called to explain the issue has not been resolved the rep very rudely stated "well yeah there are issues with the vehicle and took no ownership of making the vehicle worse.I am expecting a phone call from the manager tomorrow depending on the resolution I will be pursuing a complaint with Better Business Bureau Where it has been a constant issue over the past year and the condescending sexist customer service just continues to get worse.

Crooked as the day is long... my wife needed rear pads on her car I work 12+ hours a day so she didn't want to bother me with it... went to your establishment and all of the sudden a simple pad change turned into pads, rotors, sensors (which there was only one quoted her for two) and possibly calipers... well over 600$ and I'm sure they would have talked her into calipers as well... which would have put the grand total well over a 1000$...100% saw a woman come in and absolutely tried to take advantage...The reason I did not answer is because I had no interest.. you just plain got caught... I do like the long winded well written spin you have tried to put on this. Ever thought about politics? Anyway there was one pad that was gone because it was stuck on the slide.. new pads come with new slides and fix that issue.. but the car had not been driven that way more than a handful of miles.. you make it seem like the rotor was ruined which it was very much not.. so if your trying to tell me it needed replacing your very wrong in fact I bought rotors and took them back because they were not needed. anyone with a set of eyes could have made that call.. I'm not an idiot so don't put a high and mighty spin on it.. and as far as reputable that's very much in question... makes me wonder how many others you take advantage of daily

I have been going here for many years to service my 2012 Outback. Service is friendly, prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. Good people to know if you have an older car with many potential issues. Would strongly recommend.

Excellent service. 500 miles from home on vacation. Picked up an object in tire which caused a slow leak. Friday afternoon, pulled in and they fixed it right away. I was staying in Lincolnville and they would retorque it Saturday if I wished. In and out right away. Due to go back Sunday. Wonderful establishment and employees. Thanks again!!!!!

They attempted to fix the distributor on my 1994 Chevy Silverado. It needed replacement, which they did, alongside a new exhaust manifold, starter coil and plugs and wires. I got the truck back and it was worse. After paying almost 2000 dollars for parts and labor, it was distressing to have smoke that smelled like chemicals billowing from under the hood, backfiring which had not been happening prior to them working on it and no power and stumbling in any acceleration attempts. So I brought it back in where they could see how they had left the new wires resting onto parts of the engine that were hot and had therefore melted the rubber coatings on the wires causing the bare metal to arc sparks out and all around the engine compartment! Very unsafe along with unpleasant. So they "upgraded" the plug wires for free, which I would hope and strung them up using zip ties. That's ok, but for the fact that once again, it was worse. Still no power, terrible exhaust fumes from inefficiently burned fuel, extremely hot engine, continued backfiring and stumbling and no power. Because of all this taking two weeks to be done, with no good result, I chose to get a second opinion. It seemed to me to be a straightforward thing but maybe I was missing something? I took it to the Chevy dealer where for another 380 bucks an older gentleman took two hours to assess and fix everything saying that two plug wires were not connected properly to their respective plugs, two wires were mis-routed to the distributor and the distributor needed the timing adjusted. Apparently this is all a lost art. For a truck this old, the mechanic needs to be older than the truck if you need it done right. I've brought my Subaru here for seven years spending more than 12000 dollars and never had an issue. I will go elsewhere in the future.Update: thanks Alan (mgr) for making this right. I appreciate your concern!

Before today, I had stopped using Forshay's Tire Company because of issues I had experienced in the past. My car required an alignment and four new tires quickly and close to my home. So, hoping the management and crew changed, I decided to try the establishment again. I walked in on Wednesday, and the appointment was today (Thursday). Jason Fletcher and his crew's customer service was outstanding compared to the past. This new crew will have me continue doing business with them because my treatment was with dignity and respect, and they fixed my car promptly. Also, the price was fair and affordable, which shocked me due to the economy drowning, and prices skyrocketing.I highly recommend this auto shop because the crew is very professional and knowledgeable, making me confident that my car is safe to drive.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

Foshay s in Belfast was fantastic! Best customer service I have ever received. We were on vacation and had a screw in our tire. They took the time to fix it when every other shop I called was either rude, said they did not have time, or could not get to it until the end of the day. Super friendly and fast service. They got us back on the road in about 15 minutes. I can t say enough good things about them. I highly recommend Foshay s in Belfast.

They do required maintenance on both our cars; we've purchased tires and wheels from them; they also do annual state inspections. They are accomodating when we need to schedule work and fair in what they charge. These guys were terrific on every front. They diagnosed a significant radiator problem when they were changing the oil, ordered the parts from a certified dealer, and got them installed in record time. They were more than fair price-wise and professional and enjoyable to work with. I was able to get in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. They were incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I was expecting the typical garage scene and possibly having to wipe down grease/oil spots, hey it s a garage it happens right? I was pleasantly surprised to find a very clean facility and they even used gloves and seat covers so there was no cleanup! This has been a reliable place for years. However, the other day they exceeded my expectations. I am a cancer patient, and my housemate was driving me to appointments. We discovered a nail in our tire! After limping into their lot with what was now a truely flat tire, and seeing just how busy they already were, I thought I was on for a long and restless wait. They had us on the road in like 15 minutes. Bless them.

Don Foshay's replaced a water pump and pulley on my Mini that failed suddenly 100 or so miles from home. An appointment was scheduled right away, the issue diagnosed and the car was working again within a day. The staff was helpful and professional throughout. Highly recommended.
