Best mechanic I ve ever been to! My car broke down in Slidell when I was coming from Seattle, WA and Andy took the best care of me as I was stranded in a town I knew nothing about. He ordered the parts even though they were hard to find and the mechanics even stayed late to figure out what was going on and how to fix it. Anyone who needs work done on their car, this is the place! I couldn t recommend them more and I ll never forget their kindness.

I broke down on the interstate on my way to New Orleans with my wife and dog, and did a quick google search on auto repair centers in the area. After calling a few places I spoke with Dale from Auto Center/Slidell who was very friendly on the phone. Being from out of town it was kind of crap shoot, but Dale made me feel confident that this was the right place and we I couldn t have done better with my pick if I tried. When we arrived with my vehicle they were ready for us, and said they would get us back on the road by the next day. Dale went as far as finding us a room for the night and even drove us there southern hospitality at its finest. The next morning I received a call/quote on the repair in the morning from Josh, which seemed fair for the work being done (Alternator on my Honda Pilot). They had us back in the road by noon unbelievably efficient. Dale, who turned out to be the owner, went above and beyond and even applied a discount for good measure, which was incredibly kind. I would recommend Automotive Center of Slidell to anyone who wants to be treated kindly, and be treated fairly, along with having the work done timely and efficiently. Thank you Dale, Josh, and Ryan (mechanic).

Will always bring my cars here after getting burned by some other repair shops. They always do a great job in a good time with fair prices. Everyone there is very nice and professional. Andy is the man.

These guys are awesome. They are great at finding and fixing all the oddball problems with my geriatric (>300k miles) truck. Always friendly and they take the time to listen to me. They don't treat me like I'm clueless about cars. Highly recommended!2023 update - still great. Keeping the old truck on the road. Excellent service, good guys, they do a great job. Still highly recommended!

Would not use anyone but this locally owned automotive center. The best customer service with fair and honest pricing. On a four hour road trip we had a car emergency necessitating an urgent tire plug. We were on a strict timeline with planned excursions 60 miles away. They were able fit us in quickly and were very pleasant to work with.

Stopped here along a road trip as my car needed a quick repair. I was worried as I am not familiar with the area, as well I am on a schedule.After quickly explaining the issue I was rest-assured this could be easily repaired. Didn t have to wait but less than 10 minutes and I was already back on the road.I really appreciated their help and service, especially in a time of need. Highly recommend!

Great personable repair shop ...they have 2 customer service reps as you walk in who are very friendly and professional. They are a NAPA authorized repair shop... extremely efficient

Staff was very polite, very friendly. Had absolutely zero problems. Comfortable waiting room. They did my oil change and inspection in a short time. I was very pleased with Automotive Center . I'll def bring truck in the next time it needs serviced!

I just got 5 star premium service. I had my truck in the shop half taken apart. I had something come up that. Andy worked with me got the truck put back together real fast and below the price that was quoted. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

I don't take my vehicles anywhere else unless it's something these guys can't do because of dealer parts issues. They are the most wonderful family guys and really care. They are honest and always have fair competetive pricing!! Tell them that Becki sent ya'!-

These guys did a fantastic job. My Dart had multiple issues.They got my car fixed ahead of time, and before I had to work the weekend. I am very satisfied, and highly recommend them to everyone.

Found this place on google. Went there when my car overheated. They told me it was just a loose coolant cap. Only charged me for the diagnostic. Basically they were very honest and the prices were very reasonable. That s what you look for in a mechanic. Hopefully won t have to go back but if something else goes wrong with my car, they are my go-to from now on. Highly highly recommend!!

Best Automotive Center around, I had my car towed there after two different mechanics gave me the run around. Clinton and his staff are amazing. They would keep me updated with issues they found and got me back on the road. They are honest and fair priced and I won't go to anyone but them ever again. Thanks again!

In response to owner. Your people were correct yesterday, the two nails did not cause a puncture or leak. However, with just 25 psi in a 65 psi tire, they should have known there was a leak somewhere. I went down the street to WilliamsTire and they found a cracked/cut valve stem which they replaced.

The sales person Clinton is very helpful in informing me of what the car needs, and the expectations of the work completed. The entire Staff is a delight to be around, professional, caring, and understanding. Its not often you find people that is genuinely caring about you as a person and not just trying to get paid. This group of people are just great and I recommend that those in need of services for their car goes to them.

Automotive Center of Slidell has become our go-to place for car mechanics. They have been thorough and fast with all of our repair needs. Best of all, we never feel like we ve been ripped off when they work on our cars. We highly recommend these guys!

I do my own car maintenance and repairs when possible, but mounting/balancing tire jobs go to the shop. Being the cheap-ass I am, I scoured the internet for the best possible deal for tires on the net. Then I brought them to this shop for installation. Very friendly service. $170 out the door for 4 tires mounted/balanced and a full front & rear alignment (which was certainly needed). The car rides like new. I feel this was a reasonable price for a well done job. I will be a repeat customer.

I blew a tire not far from their shop. I was running on my spare and another tire need to be changed. They ordered two tires, replaced the blown tire while I was at work. I got off a bit early and went by, they changed both tires, put my spare away and I was down the road in no time. Their prices were better than some other places I called as well.

I requested a quote to install 4 shocks, each having a remote reservoir. I was told the cost was $700 due to the shocks not being oem. I asked how they can justify the price & was fed more than a few lines of BS. That equates to about 9.5 hours of time to install 4 shocks at a rate of $75/hr. Realistically, it should be less than 90 minutes for any competent mechanic.I told whoever was at the counter that day that the price was insulting & he proceeded to yell at me, in front of other customers. That last thing said to me was "If you don't like it, install the shocks yourself." His manager had to intervene & apologize, but the damage was done.The quote was nearly fraudulent. I asked other shops for quotes & none could even come up with a way to justify $700, even with a full, 4 wheel alignment done at the same time.I'm still amazed this place is open, after being treated so poorly & lied to about labor costs.
