GR Automotive is awesome. They've been taking care of our car for about 3 years now. They're dependable, priced fairly, and most importantly are incredible honest about what needs to be done to your car. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend GR Automotive to anyone needing their car serviced.

Hands down the best auto repair shop in the area. They are fast, honest and reliable. Have used them for a few years now after a friend recommended them. They definitely have a customer for life.

I really wanted to love this place- the reviews are great and they were able to get my car in and looked at super quickly. I had run over a mattress on the interstate and asked for them to take a look underneath the car and make sure nothing had been damaged. They called and said there was no damage except to the body, for which I should take it to the body shop. I took it home and noticed a constant leak so I jacked it up myself. The washer fluid hose was hanging down completely detached, and missing a hose and clips. There was also a nearby panel that was badly mauled up. This shop obviously did not look under the car AT ALL- not even a glance to see a detached hose towards the front and to the side, very obvious, and actively leaking. I am super, super disappointed. It would have resulted in them getting business and I don t know how this even happened, but I will never go back.

Man oh man. I was really stressed about my car issues, and GR alleviated all of it. Within 36 hours they took my vehicle, diagnosed the issues, talked me through my options, fixed the car, and released it back to me. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a repair experience we all deserve.

I called them last night thinking there was an issue with the starter in my Subaru. They told me to drop my keys in the box and write my info on the envelope. By 11:00 AM the next day, they called and told me the car was ready. Very fast and friendly, they kept me in the loop throughout the entire process.Service: BatteryService: Battery

GR has been my place to go since Katrina. Rick is honest and fair. They don't "fix" things that aren't broken. Not the cheapest in town (do you really want that), but very reasonable rates and consistently good work. I almost don't want to write this review, as they may be even busier and I'll have to wait for my repair. However, they deserve it. Highly recommend.

Rick and his staff are the best! Kind, efficient and professional. He was able to order my specific tire and have it delivered in two days. My same new tire picked up another nail a few months later (my luck) and Rick was able to repair it in 15 min as a walk in. So great and he really cares about his customers. Definitely recommend this business for any tire repairs or issues!

GR is the honest and competent mechanic you're looking for. I've brought my car in to them several times now, and they have been able to solve problems other shops could not. The prices are fair, and Rick is very professional. He has updated me promptly on the status of my car without me having to check in to get information. He'll run an estimate by you and get your consent before doing the work. GR has become my go-to place.

Called and spoke with Rick about needing a new air conditioning compressor, he gave me an estimate over the phone and told me I could drop my car that same day. At drop off he told me he'd call me that afternoon to give me a better estimate and let me know how long the work would take, and he did. I got my vehicle fixed and back the day after drop off (which would have never happened at my dealership!). These guys are fast, reasonably priced, professional, courteous, honest, and reliable. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Rick's team is the best in the city, and frankly best I've ever worked with since I started owning a car in 2002. He's quick, reliable, and doesn't try to pull one over on you. His rates are also very competitive and smash the dealers. I've referred countless folks there over the years and everyone has had great experiences.

Super friendly, respectful, and professional. Got my tire patched in less than 15 minutes! As a young women, getting work done on a car can be a daunting task as I am often not taken seriously or get treated like I'm clueless (leading to people trying to rip me off). This place didn't make me feel that way at all, didn't try to sell me a tire for no reason which has happened at other shops when a plug would have sufficed. Would definitely recommend!

Extremely honest and helpful auto shop. Would recommend to anyone in New Orleans. Had my car completely serviced in less than a day. Very fair people- will not try to rip you off and even tell you how not to get ripped off at other places. Very thorough in their work and explanations. 10/10 everyone in New Orleans needs to go here with any car issues.

Best mechanics in the city, we never take our cars anywhere else anymore. My previous car had a broken back axle that the dealership shop and six other tire shops failed to find. I knew something was wrong because my alignments were totally off and I kept having to replace my tires. Took it to GR and they immediately knew what the problem was. They are fast, trustworthy, and great at what they do. They only charge you for what needs to be done and they keep you informed of maintenance that will need to be done in the future so you can plan for it. Don't trust your car with anyone else!!

Rick the owner is a good man. Fair, honest, and wants what is best for his customers.Relaxed environment without any of that pressure feeling to "fix something" that they find. They will always be very upfront and honest with their work.Only place I will bring my cars in NOLA

GR Automotive's is the best car garage I have ever encountered (in any city) and I cannot recommend them enough. As a college student, I was daunted at the thought of bringing my old car to New Orleans while not having my car-savvy father and familiar car mechanic nearby as I was concerned about getting ripped off. From the get-go Rick and his team helped me with one problem after another with very reasonable pricing and unparalleled customer service. Take today for example; I brought my car in to get my wheel bearings checked out before I embarked on a long road trip. Not only did they check my wheel bearings, but they also checked my tire pressure and changed the oil- free of charge! I would highly recommend GR for everyone, especially students in need of a go-to reliable and reasonable car mechanic in New Orleans.

I sent a lot of people to Rick and had a lot of work done on my car by him. He was always honest and fair with me until one day I had to get a new alternator. I was charged 620 dollars for a new alternator. After reaching out to another mechanic friend to see if that seemed high, I was told I got majorly ripped off. I did a little research and found an alternator for 150 and my friend told me he could've installed it in 20 minutes tops. I called Rick and left a voicemail asking about the price and asked him to call me back, and he never called me back. Super disappointed.

Great shop, service, and prices; Exactly what I like to receive for auto servicing and repair. I called around to get the Drive Belt replaced on my 2004 Toyota Solara. First, GR Automotive was the first shop out of 3 highly reviewed shops on Yelp to know exactly what I was talking about, first sign. Next they could fit me right in, the price was right. All went well and the car drives smoothly. I'll be returning for future business with GR Automotive.

I went in to fix my broken window, they not only asked me for double the price of what I have found online, but 2 days later my car started having additional problems with the radiator or thermostat. Did they do something to my car so I would go back to them and pay them again? These guys were awesome. I had a huge screw in my tire, due to all the construction and these guys took in my Range Rover one morning and I had it back in a few hours.I'll be back for my next repair.
