They knew who I was as soon as I walked in, even though I've only been here once, asked about my recent vacation, got my tire and rim replaced within about 15 minutes, and let me know about another issue they found so I could make an appointment for other services. I HIGHLY recommend them for both friendliness and efficiency!

I m a veteran and a woman. According to the other reviews it seems they take advantage of women. LADIES: BEWARE. They didn t fix what they were supposed to fix. My mass airflow sensor was causing hesitation when I accelerated. They told me they reset it, but apparently they didn t check the actual sensor. My check engine light came on again weeks later, and I was still having acceleration issues. I brought my car to a small mechanic shop in New Orleans, as I recently moved here. They checked the actual sensor and said it was full of dirt/sand. They cleaned it and my car has been driving better than ever now. Nissan could have easily fixed this problem if they were more thorough. Not coming back here.

I went to Gilles for scheduled vehicle maintenance and looked at new cars while waiting. The time was so much better spent than watching another gardening show on TV. A courteous sales associate approached without being sales aggressive. He listened and developed a rapport conducive with knowing I wasn't buying that day. He was very knowledgeable about the product lineup and enjoyed my own banter about the "not today" position I maintained. Thanks to the sales team for a good visit at 8Am on a slow morning, great coffee too.

I got my Nissan (did not purchase from Giles) serviced, and I had to bring it back but they really made that inconvenience right by being fast and considerate of my time/the inconvenience of not having a car. They said they really like to earn business by doing the right thing and I believe it. For any engine/major repairs I definitely recommend taking this route over another mechanic that doesn t have a good warranty or may not specialize in Nissan.I gave 5 stars because they really made up for the inconvenience of having to bring my car back, but I would recommend clarifying that an appointment is just to talk to someone not to get your car serviced. Also being a little better at communicating with clients when they ask for updates.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

Service was great. Elle and her group of workers were great in the service department.What I don't like is that I was told my warranty would be voided if I don't service my vehicle there, oil changes and tire rotations. WTH! I live in New Iberia and they are in Lafayette. I can get both done at the Nissan place here for $80 and it's $130 at Giles. Very disappointing.

Honestly I love this place they're always super quick they do the job properly and you never have to guess what you're getting they're very straight up. I get all of my services here as well as purchase my used Altima from them.

Parts dept. Was great, had mirror parts in stock and installed it, parts guy was great. And price beat Amazon. Quick oil change dept. Is another story, almost all new personnel. More interested in looking at phone then work.

Overall my situation was satisfactory. 4 stars given because there was less than satisfactory communication during the time my car was being serviced..in summary my car was misdiagnosed resulting in it having to stay in the shop wayyyyy longer than anticipated which was frustrating I had to consistently call for updates instead of the other way around. Thankfully to my surprise they did handle covering the cost of the rental since the misdiagnosis of the problem and having to wait on parts is what resulted in the service delay.

My car wasn't starting and was displaying an amber key light on the dashboard. According to the owners manual and a mechanic, this light indicates that the electronic immobilizer or the key fob was not working. I had my car towed in to be looked at on 12/3/21. I received a phone call from Tim stating that this was either an issue with the starter or the engine however, in order to find out which it was they would need to remove my starter for an additional $200 (on top of the $95 diagnostic fee.) I was told that a new starter would cost approximately $1000 and if it was in fact the engine I would need a new vehicle. My cousin, who is a Nissan certified mechanic, told me this didn't make sense for the issues I was having (the key would not even lock or unlock my doors, a faulty starter or engine will not cause that) and that the starter did not need to be removed to be checked. I decided to have my vehicle towed home. I called Tim back, however he did not answer, therefore I left a message. I then called a tow truck and got them scheduled to pick up the vehicle. At that point I went to the dealership and paid the $95 diagnostic fee.) When the tow truck arrived (about 15-20 minutes later) we were told he could not take my vehicle as the technician was on break and his equipment was hooked up to my car. The tow truck driver asked when he was expected to return and Tim responding that he was HOPING he would be back in 20 minutes. The tow truck driver had to leave and I had to wait and call back when my vehicle was ready. This week my cousin was able to look at my vehicle and confirm that my engine was turning. When he went to check the starter he noticed that the fusible link on top of the battery was blown. We replaced the link, charged the battery and the car started. However I immediately turned the vehicle off because it was not knocking, but RATTLING. It sounded horrible. I checked my oil which was a bit low, but not major. I added oil but it did not resolve the issue. My cousin came by the next day, listened to it and checked the oil to find that the oil is filled with metal shavings. There is no way that my car was in that condition when it stopped running. The issue with my car had nothing at all to do with my motor. I've called Giles 5+ times now to speak with Tim and the service manager. I'm simply asking for a list of what was checked in the diagnostic. I'm trying to figure out what could have happened to my car. Neither will return my phone call.Not only was it poor service as they refused to release my vehicle, My car is now completely shot and I have no clue how or why. They tried to charge me an additional $200 to remove a part that was unnecessary to be removed and they clearly did not even check everything that it could be without the need to remove the starter to begin with. I feel like they saw a female and decided it was their payday.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Waited over an hour for a battery replacement. Only after asking if the car was done did they let us know the battery was not in stock and they would have to order it. Who knows how long we'd have sat waiting on them if we hadn't asked what was taking so long. We had an awful experience just buying the car two years ago and have had poor service each subsequent trip. Today takes the cake & I will NEVER buy another car from Giles and I will never come back here for service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

After waiting nearly 4 hours, I didn't receive the video of diagnosing as I was supposed to. I also didn't get an actual printout of the diagnosis only what was typed up and bought to me which was a form stating that I needed $10,553.00 in repairs to my vehicle. I knew prior to arrival what the issues were with my vehicle and just wanted a quote from the dealer just in case anything needed programming.

I went here to replace my ignition coils and because they missed one of the bad coils the first time I was forced to go back again the next week. They charged me both times for labor. I ended up paying for their "mistake". Over $700 dollars for 2 coils!Coils cost $86. I feel a little bit swindled. Needless to say I will not be returning and I advise you don't either.
