If I could give them zero stars I would I brought my car there on April 7, 2024 at 8 AM they did not call me I had to call them at 4 PM and the shop closes at five the mechanic name was Pete he told me that he shot dye in my compressor and he didn t see any come out he said he couldn t find a leak so he suggested that I leave my car there the next day so I did 10 AM another man from the shop named David he called me and said that my car ran out of gas I asked him how did my car run out of gas when my car was half full he said he didn t know David with the club foot then he said that I would have to come bring my keys to the lock cap on my gas tank when I get there I have to pay them $10 to put gas in my car that was filled up already when I brought it to them these people are low down and dirty Please people do not bring your car to these Racist people They show no gratitude no remorse I would not recommend this place to a person riding a bicycle

The only place I'll trust from now on! Dealership told me something was wrong with my alignment and would cost close to $500 to repair. Took my car to Mr. Mechanic and they were able to fix it for way less. They could have of easily ripped me off cause I have no clue about cars, but they didn't and this will be where my loyalty remains!

These people were so helpful last minute! Though I didn't get my car serviced they did charge me $20 fee too look at my car and offer to credit it to my service if I chose to get it done. Definitely recommend. My sis as well she recommended me !

Horrible place and horrible people. Went in for a tire repair and they scratched the rim and scratched my door. Car was two weeks old. I have a witness who vouched. Owners daughter hung up on me. Would never use these people.Service: TiresService: Tires

After one visit, needing transmission work, this is going to be my go to place! So professional and the prices were reasonable. The waiting area was nice with coffee available and I didn't feel like it was mechanics drinking from it all day lol! I'm recommending them do everyone I know!!!

Stopped in to get a La Break Tag.The staff was well.mannered, professional, experienced & efficient is what i observed while waiting for my turn. The mechanic was friendly, worked quickly in checking all the State Requirements for the Breaktag. I was amazed how he performed all the task. Overall I had an AAA+++Experience at Mr Mechanic on 5th st in Gretna, If you need any mechanic work done on your vehicle, i would highly recommend this establishment. The waiting area is clean, air conditioning, has comfortable chairs, coffee. CLEAN RESTROOMS. THESE GUYS WORKING HERE ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PRICES FOR BREAK JOBS, TIRE ROTATION, ENGINE WORK ARE ALL DONE HERE AND FROM WHAT I OBSERVED, HAVE FAIR & REASONABLE PRICES. oh my goodness, where do i even start. I had our upper and lower control arms done, wheel bearings, and tire rods and alignment done here. spent a few 1000.00 and been having trouble with my vehicle brought it to another shop to look at and what do you know the alignment slipped out of place, the tire rods were put on backwards and hub bearings are needing to be replaced again .so i brought it back to G&k now Mr. Mechanic for them to warranty the work and the the one mechanic they had that did the work refused to look at the truck because he said he didn't do it wrong. first off , when does the mechanic tell the owner what he is and isn't going to do. they had my truck over a week and never even looked at because the mechanic wouldn't look at it and they were waiting for a new mechanic to start. needless to say its at another shop and i am having to pay again for all this work to be done right. i should send them the bill. so frustrating and will never use them and not sure if the new owners are any better since that is who was looking at it last and couldn't do anything for me.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

It's refreshing doing business with a locally owned shop. I desperately needed to replace all 4 of my disk brakes and rotors. They valued my time, saved me a good bit of money over the quotes from the chain service centers, and appreciated my business! I definitely will be bringing my SUV back to them.

5 STAR SERVICE!!! Very hard nowadays to find a business that cares about their customers as much as G&K Auto does. Got all 4 tires changed on my vehicle. Not only were they very reasonably priced, but they get the job done quickly! In and out in under 45 minutes! Very friendly staff and Mr. David was there to ensure all my needs were met! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!Service: Tires

They ordered the tires I requested, and they were always polite when I spoke with them. However, it took a day and a half from my original appointment to when I got the car after being told it would only take a few hours. The manager said that there was some unusual difficulty involved with installing the run flat tires I got.A few weeks later, I got an egg in the tire, but G&K was closed for several days for cleaning. Though understandable, I was unable to contact anyone and brought my car elsewhere to get a new tire. For reference, it was the same tire, and they installed it within a couple hours. (I could have waited for G&K to reopen and then have the tire replaced under warranty, but I didn't want them working on my car.) The mechanics at the other shop took all the weights off, balanced the tires and informed me that they found my tire pressure sensor inside a tire, shattered. I brought the sensor to G&K and was met with confusion about it. There seemed to be a note in my file about a tire pressure sensor with no specifics. Since I was getting nowhere and there were other customers to be helped, I gave up and left, because I would rather be missing a tire pressure sensor than leave my car with them again.Service: Tires

Worst experience ever!!!! My wife brought my vehicle in for an oil change and I told her to ask them to look at the power steering pump. They said the power steering hoses needed to be changedI said fine go ahead. The the calls started. Oh its not the hoses it's the pump, then the valve cover seal, and oh. by the way the heater hose broke while we were working on the power steering and that needs to be changed too. Finally I said put it back together, don't break anything else and give me my car back.The day after I got my car back the check engine light came on!I hesitated to write this review because I know how damaging a bad review can be because I manage them for a very large company, but today when I went to put oil in my vehicle I noticed the fill spout that was attached to the engine was gone. This was the last straw.I would give a zero rating if it was possible. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I'm serious. YouTube videos and a trip to Auto Zone would be a better use of your time and hard earned money.

They did a good job fixing my tire even though it cost more than I thought it would the 80-year-old owner himself did the work and it's good as new.

I had a terrible experience, please do not take your vehicle here. They misdiagnosed my vehicle, after I took my SUV here, my engine light came on & wouldn t go off, they damaged my air bag & never replaced it; therefore, the air bag light stayed on and after they touched my vehicle, I had to replace my fan blowers again, my radiator & my alternator before they messed with my vehicle I never had any other issues, originally I went there to get a diagnosis on my vehicle because my air conditioner wasn t blowing as cool as it was the day before. They stated I needed new fan blowers, and stated that they will call me once they run the diagnostic test, I had to call them several times before speaking with someone, by that time the so called mechanic disassembled my engine & all; I went up to the shop after speaking with them, the mechanic had a book reading how to assemble my engine back, there were pieces of my car everywhere. I had to pay someone weeks later to repair my vehicle bc it broke on me and it wouldn t start plus they never replaced my air bag as well that they damaged. Do not take your vehicle there if you don t want to spent extra money or have to purchase a new vehicle.

Great guys to work with! Our van needed a little boost of Arctic air and now the a/c runs as it should. They even offered us a ride to the ferry terminal while they looked at the van. Thanks guys - still blowing cold in DC!

Brought my car there, Milton did excellent work. It's a family atmosphere. No more Wal Mart for oil changes. I will continue to go to G& K Tire.

Call to get a price for cv joints on left size. This man wanted to charge me $ 355.00. The parts he said would be $ 85.00, when the part is only 82.00. Not good at all.
